Man made marshes pretty good spot to come and relax, you can easily fall asleep listening to the birds and the water flow.

Lots of shade, water, and not overly crowded

Nice place for a stroll or bike ride and bird watching. Playground and horse shoes in Riverfront park. Disc golf course. Trail follows the Verde river.

I love the river but this area can be dicey.
