Has the potential to be wonderful, but there was no staff around and they are renovating the main office building. Everything seemed rather unkempt. The trails are marked for cross country skiing and it seems like it would be a nice place to ski in the winter.

Nice hike, but remember your insect repellent! There are a lot of areas along these trails that have stagnant water pools, which is a breeding grounds for different sorts of insects. Lots of spiders & mosquitoes. Had to cut hike short due to getting bit extensively, even when I applied bug repellent prior to heading onto the trail.

Well maintained trails and lodge. Very friendly staff. Kids had a great time meeting a opossum and learning about various animals during Halloween event. Sculpture park along one of the trails. Snow shoe rentals in winter, fairly active flow of cross country skiers on my last winter visit. Hear great things about their day camp also.

My kids went to Lime Hollow for the summer programs for years and loved it. Both eventually worked there as mentors. They have a fantastic program with fun themed weeks. Peter the resident naturalist is amazing and does a great job teaching and mentoring. If you want your kids to appreciate nature and have wilderness skill that will allow them to thrive after the zombie apocalypse you cant beat Lime hollow. The trails are nice and vary in character. There are also a couple of pounds and streams and meadows with bird habitat. They have steadily improved the trails to reduce muddy sections and recently added informational plaques. Trail maps are available and trail markings include country ski and snowshoe paths. They rent both during the winter. The Visitors center is nice and has bathrooms.

Great hiking trails. Great snow-shoeing and X-country skiing trails during the winter. Well-marked trails. Very extensive trail system traversing a variety of ecosystems (forest, grassland, Marsh). Very good welcome/learning center, open most of the time. Welcome center rents snow shoes and X-COUNTRY skiis. I go there several times a year.

Place is very nice. Maintained by people who care for it and do a nice job. Live close and walk around regularly. Huge area to explore with tons of cool features. Bird watching is supposed to be fantastic. I walk my dog on the dog paths and bird watchers dont like dogs. The place is great in the winter to cross-country ski, more than enough area. Snow shoeing as well. As long as the current people in charge stay in charge the place will only continue to improve and offer more.

This Nature Preserve was great! We visited in the fall. There was so much to see and discover. These trails are truly designed for kids to enjoy and make discoveries along the way. The Eric Kroot trail was so nice with all of the sculptures. My son loved the campgrounds, ponds, sculptures and fun trails to run and hike through. We did get a bit turned around so take a picture of a map before you enter in if you want to hike. We will do the same next time! We will be returning soon!

I love going here for short walks!! There arent really any streams that my kids can get into so they dont end up muddy which is nice. They also have a main building that I believe is wheelchair accessible. although the trails can get narrow and slightly steep at times they are always neat, well kept and clearly marked ... We love looking at all the faces in the trees and there is a clearing with some art and statues. And an overlook that make the walk all the more interesting. :)

This nature center is scenic and educational. They have many trails including an art one which the kids really liked. Also they have one anyone can use with woodchips. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful. The have a snake named Cricket that my younger child got to hold. Overall awesome experience!

I was there on a Sunday when the visitor center building was closed. The building did appear to be wheelchair accessible. The trail, however, was gravel and could not be handled by a conventional manual wheelchair. A sign said that a special wheelchair was available inside, but since it was closed I did not find out if it would handle the gravel.
