Great views, easy trails. Bring your leashed dogs and watch for cactus, otherwise the trails are great. Combination of slick rock and dirt with wildlife mixed in. Dont forget the water for you and the pups.

This is area is such a gem! Im local to the area but I absolutely love to visit Hawkins Preserve. Not only are the views spectacular but the trails are pet friendly. I often bring my little dog with me to run errands in town. Our reward is a walk through one of the many trails here. Its so close to town but feels a world away. Ive also learned so much about then plants thanks to the signs. Another thing I love is that there are accessible trails that are good for my mom whose a bit older. She cant hike Sand Canyon but Hawkins is perfect. So she still has an opportunity to see some ruins and be in nature.

Scenic trails provide a broad perspective of the surroundIng mountain ranges and valleys, while being immersed in a nest of native plants and animals. This place combines desert, forest, and riparian zones into one awesome place that is perfect for walking, riding bikes, rock climbing, and enjoying nature very close to the city. Please practice leave no trace principles!

We enjoyed the winding trails through cactus and sagebrush. Many plants are labeled and spring this year brought lovely blossoms! Note that theres not much shade so bring a hat and water. Theres a shaded picnic area, too.

This a nice little trail conveniently located near downtown. Good for a nice little run or hike. I went there early in the morning and had the whole place to myself. The overlook is nice especially if get there right at sunrise. Trails are well groomed and fairly well marked.

Concrete sidewalk for those that have a hard time being mobile in nature. Dogs need leashes (usually) and there are some ruins at the end of the trail! Its right in town. If you go off the beaten path you may find a cave that has graffitti in it, looks like a chillout spot for some one
