Located way off the beaten path and apparently within someones private property, this national monument is little more than a pile of rocks and mud in the soil. There isnt much in the way of exhibits here, or anything other than what you will find on the website, information-wise.We dropped by here in the spirit of adventure on our latest road trip, and it was one of the more disappointing aspects. However, not all was lost as road trips are about the journey, not the destination. It added texture to our experience on the trip and for that, I am grateful.

Yucca House us a unique experience. Make it a later stop if you are looking for multiple visits of the Pueblo culture. It in basically an unimproved ruin. You will see what is Euro settlers found when we got here 500 years after the Anasazi left

I have been there three or four times, working there for the NPS. I believe my last trip working there was in 2016. It was a blessing to get to work there. This place is exciting. Just remember to be respectful for those of the past and the present. This makes for a better tomorrow.

Looks like Southwest Colorado. So many sites in the middle of a farm field. Great surrounding scenery. If you are expecting Mesa Verde or Hovenweep, lower your expectations. But, its a great example of how these ruins are everywhere in the region.

Interesting place. For a national monument theres not a lot of info. You basically park at someones house, walk in their grass, get sprayed by the sprinkler system, go through a couple gates, and youre there. If you feel like you are breaking and entering someones property, youre there.

Dont waste your time. Basically one wall and a mound of dirt, that you have to walk thru a poorly maintained path thru sage, scrub and other painful skin removing plants to get to. Lol. Go to hovenweep and do the rim trail instead. Stunning vistas and lots of ruins, just takes an hour hike. If you do go here tho, know that it is actually on someones property and parking in their driveway is ok

I am always game for an obscure archaeological site and this one hits the mark. It is managed by Mesa Verde so either go their to get information on the site or download it from the NPS.gov website. Not much visible, but it is cool to see a ancestral puebloan site pre-excavation. Be respectful since you are surrounded by private land but there is a clear way to get on to the monument. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes since it is full of desert plants with spines. Give yourself 30-40 minutes to leisurely stroll around. It is near Cortez where you can get lunch at Leaping Lizard or Bennys Dinner.

Its strange driving here. But trust the signs and Google Maps. Parking is near two homes. Its awkward. But neat place!

Cool to see a site that hasnt yet been excavated--very different than all of the other 4 Corners Ancestral Pueblan sites. Follow Google Maps--you are going to the right place.

Its a strange place, maybe 5 acres in the middle of some guys farm. Talked to the owner, hes cool. You have to park next to his house which is a little awkward. The site is an unexcavated brick wall...and a lot of yellow jackets. Its interesting in a way, as it is so odd, but there really isnt much to it. No interpretive signs, no trail, just a wall. Probably not worth the trip unless youre passing by and are curious. But Id opt for other nearby ruins first.

The spot looks like nothing. There are signs that say no trespassing. However you can drive in the yard. There is a little old man that is really nice. Not a lot to see, just a wall, plants, and a few animals.

You must maintain your focus and fortitude to find this place. Google maps will tell you the right way, but know that the county road is open despite the no trespassing signs. Be respectful to the residents. There are detailed directions in the National Park service website to bolster your spirit. When you arrive, you’ll find this is a rare opportunity to see unexcavated ruins. Hard to know how to behave. There are many fossils in the sandstone to see as well.

Not worth your time!!!! The picture looks better than the actual wall. If you are visiting for a cancellation stamp, turn around and just go to the Colorado visitors center because there is no stamp on site. Once we found it, which took a while because there are no signs, it took literally 30 seconds to see the whole thing.

Go there knowing you will be walking on top of ruins that have not been excavated. Knowing this, there is a sense of mystery that comes along with this place. Getting there also requires a sense of adventure.

A bit dissapointing because picture on Google maps is very misleading. This monument is all natural. No excavations. Signs for private property are for land around road leading to monument. Parking area is in front of farmers garages. It takes a sense of true archaeology to appreciate this place.

HUGE waste of time. Just get a stamp at the welcome center. Look at a picture here on Google and call it good. Trust me.

Giving a 5 star to nullify the ignorants 1 star ratings on here. The site is largely unexcavated, hence the not much to see. Nonetheless a piece of American history.

Very poorly defined path, if any. We could find only 1 stablized wall close to the entrance. No signs for guidance. Disappointing.
