Friendly staff and guides. Horses appeared cared for and not abused. Sunset ride in October was very nice. Our group had 31 people...would have been a more relaxed ride if there about ten fewer people but it was still very fun. Will definitely be returning in the future!

I had a great time!!! The staff was friendly and welcoming. The ride was long and beautiful with the perfect weather!!! Pepper and the women were very informative how to handle the horses for those who have no experience. They choose the horses you ride based on your experiences and comfort level. My horse, Money Maker, was amazing and I wished I could take him home!!!! The horses are very well mannered and well cared for. I was very impress and I cant wait to go back!!! I would recommend everyone to come here!!! Thank you guys!

While we had a delightful stroll along the beach while the sun was setting, it took over an hour and a half for the tour to get started. They asked us to arrive by 6pm and we were not on our way to the beach till 7:25pm. Instead of trying to fit as many people as you can on a tour, there should have been a cap on the number of people based on the number of guides. We also did not get pictures because the photographer didnt show up. The experience was lacking the professionalism that was expected for a tour of that price.

Loved it price was fair only wish they could take a picture of both people at the same time but I understand why thats hard to do they did offer to take one with my phone so they will do it if you ask but the ride was great horses were awesome. I love the fact they use rescue horses also. I will definitely go back also recommend it your here do it. We did the sunset ride

My granddaughter love this place so much that she would rather go there then to the water park. So she went to times within a couple of days the employees there are awesome theyre very attentive and they delayed one of the trips until we got there. Because we were running late because we got they kept in contact with us and waited for my granddaughter to get its an amazing if youre in their area you should give it a try. Especially the sunset on the Beach my granddaughter loved it .

We had a great time, everyone was really nice and knowledgeable about the horses. We did the sunset ride and it was amazing except for the killer mosquitoes but not their fault , we forgot to pack some spray. We will definitely come again and also recommend to everyone.

We had a blast but we have some suggestions. Keep stacks of waivers in a place to access to eliminate waiting to get paper work in the paper work return line not as it is not efficient. Actually enforce wearing face masks indoors. Be easier on letting people know that there is not a bathroom at your location but only one minute up the road there is one. Find a way to pair horses to keep families with children together. We were separate the whole time and had to turn or stop my horse to ensure that my 11 year old was okay. To get back about 15 minutes earlier. It was dark towards the end and the horses couldnt see, the city just added sand to the beach, sand piles everywhere by the end my horse spooked. One man was slightly injured as another horse bit his horse and one horse was visibly bleeding. Another horse was observed to had fallen. There were no covid precautions while riding like to ensure in good faith 6 ft between people on horses. They are overbooking groups. I would suggest a comprehensive visual inspection of the horses.

Second time coming here with my wife. Loved the experience both times. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back in the future

Lol oh my gosh.....40 years I been wanting to ride a horse on the Beach . Today since visiting Padre island we made it happen .Used my girl b day as an excuse. Let me tell you from the min I called telling them Im almost 50 worried of how to get up on it lmbo to the actual visit and ride....nothing but laughing n fun. The girls where so super nice jet professional. My girl 1st time n she was freaked out at 1st but they calmed her quickly. It was the best experience ever. And the Horses OH MY GOSH beautiful friendly and so well behaved ♡ This is 4sure my new favorite place and I will be taking all my friends family hopefully my grandbaby in time here ♡♡♡♡

First and foremost thank you Jesus for this amazing experience. Also would like to thank Sean and all the other guys who made us feel real comfortable and safe they gave some quick tutorials in the beginning and everything worked out as planned. There were a few moments when the horses would get excited but theyre also very well trained this was an amazing experience. All the staff were very friendly and they have two dogs in the back one named Ruger and I dont know the other ones name but we played catch. All the horses were very well kept and healthy I would definitely do this again and recommend it to anybody whether youre a beginner or not

The ride was really cool, we loved riding the horses and would do it again if we are back in that area.. my only advice would be to get all the horses ready before getting people mounted. Sitting there waiting for 15 or 20 minutes wasnt fun and the horses start getting anxious standing waiting...other than that everything was awesome and well see yall again

Took my wife here for a sunset ride on her birthday. The beach is beautiful and the horses are very well behaved. Would definitely recommend this weather you are experienced or not.

Visited this past weekend with my girlfriend and had a good experience over all. Horses are well maintained and very responsive. The guides did a good job ensuring we got all 1.5 hours of our sunset ride in. On the negative, the facility is in disrepair but they did advise they are moving to a new location very soon. Some of the damage may be attributed to the recent tropical system. It would have been nice if the guides had introduced themselves as once on the ride we had no idea who was a guide and who was a paying customer. Overall....would still recommend.

It was AWESOME. We had from experienced rider to terrified rider. They accommodated us all and everyone had fun. We would definitely recommend this adventure.

Fun experience if you are a beginner rider. The staff was nice. A tad bit pricey for what you get so probably something we will only do one time.

I really like the scenery. Horse back riding along the beach. Pictures came out amazing. We had a group of 32 people. Expect to not be together with your group/family because these horses have a mind of their own. Theyre gentle and totally know the path. There were sections in the sand and sections in the water. Luved every moment.Great customer service. You cant bring purses, backpack, selfie stick. Make sure you have deep front pockets to carry phone. They have a photographer to help take a single photo of you and the horse. I have to say their photographer is on point. Cost for great photo only $8. There are 2 choices $45 morning ride or $65 sunset ride 1 hour 30 minutes. The ride is great but the waiting for everyone to be seated on a horse took close to an hour.Overall highly recommend.

Julie was friendly and the perfect guide. She picked perfect horses for us and our abilities. Riding on the beach was a wonderful experience. Even in the heat of the day.

My friends and I did the sunset time. It was really beautiful and we had a good time. The only thing I would suggest would be to do smaller groups. This would help with rotating the horses and letting them rest more. Just so that they arent so tired and seem kind of irritated on the last ride of the day. There would be more focus on individuals as well. Also, maybe a heads up on when the picture is being taken. Otherwise, I loved this experience and would like to come back.

Went today and had a blast! The leaders are great at showing you where to go and letting you know more about the horses. The horses were sweet and well taken care of. They made sure each rider was good to go and proportionate to the horse. The only thing I would suggest is Pre planning the rider to the horses. :)

My daughter went on a ride and loved it. Said the horses were well trained and behaved. Nobody was wearing a mask though (staff and riders) except for my daughter.

Went in yesterday morning and wow what an amazing experience. The staff was really friendly. They have a petting zoo for the kiddos. I think they are fairly priced. The property is beautiful. The ride was great. I definitely recommend this place. My seven year old had a great time.

This was great! Very knowledgeable staff and had a fantastic experience. They found out during the ride that it was my girlfriends daughters birthday present to do the ride, so they stopped everyone and sang her happy Bday to her. Outstanding experience all around.

We were looking for something to do before we left to come back home and we are so glad we decided to book a trip with horses on the beach. We all had a great time, Hailey was awesome, and all the horses were very calm and followed instructions very well. Its a tad pricey for children but overall my great-niece LOVED IT. The sunset ride the best but she did want to ride again so we did the afternoon one while in Texas.

We signed up for this ride because the website sold it as a memorable ride on the beach, and all the pictures showed it as you would get to take a stroll or ride down the beach casually and separated. This was not the case. We all stood outside waiting for them to saddle up the horse and then put us on them. There was a group of about 20. It was horribly hot, and any time the horse would move they would yell at us to keep them still which we were waiting for about 20-30 minutes while everyone got on their horse. When it was finally time to ride, the guide continued to gripe the whole way about pulling back and slowing the horses down. She wanted us all bunched up instead of allowing us just to casually ride and be separate. We got to a gate where we were attacked by mosquitoes. I was hitting them away from me and off of me as fast as I could panicking and the guide said, You need to pull your horse back and control it. I said, Im being attacked by mosquitoes and her response was, Its not like we can control the bugs Are you kidding me? I then said, Yall could have told us when we booked that the mosquitoes are bad getting to the beach because you are taking us through high grass areas. She replied, Its not like we knew when you booked the bugs were bad. I said, Maam your attitude sucks. My family is literally getting eaten up by mosquitoes and instead of apologizing she was rude and still yelling at me to control my horse. If I could post pictures of the welps on our arms, legs, and face you would be shocked at how she responded. I was already ready to turn around but decided to ride it out hoping it would get better. The entire way they were watching their watches and yelling at us to slow down. I dont think we could have gone any slower which made it even worse. She would barely allow us to move and would say we need to make sure you get all your time in before we get to the spot you have to turn around. I would have much rather just been able to ride the horse like the website showed than to be griped at to slow down and control my horse over and over. I paid to ride them not fight them to barely move while they were agitated and biting each other. Other patrons kept rolling their eyes every time she would say it. It was miserable. They promised a memorable experience, and they gave us a strict, boring, miserable ride by rude kids with no customer service skills. The website shows a casual stroll on the beach not a packed in group of horses forced to stay on one side of our guide and all bunched together. Galveston has this same service and it was amazing. This was horrible.

We scheduled sunset ride. It was an hour and a half. Loved every minute of it.Staff was incredibly attentive, helpful and kind. Beach was packed but our guides made sure we were safe. Got plenty of time by water. Horses were great. They match you up with a horse based on your experience. We even had a small child on the ride that got to ride her own horse tethered to a guide.Bring carrots with you because there is a very small petting zoo/farm where you can feed animals if you get there early.

Today 6/21/2020 Fathers Day our ride was 10 am. Our guide was amazing very informative and all around great guide. Thank yall so much made my fathers day great !

My son (10) and I rode, the staff made sure we were confident and comfortable. They put my son on the perfect horse Justice. We were able to make memories for a life time. Had a beautiful ride. Well worth the money. Take this adventure.

They are so nice and helpful we were running late and they waited for my daughter to go on the ride they take very good care of there horses so beautiful all of them its most definitely worth it

This was a fun little ride. This is a large horse ranch right next to the beach and they have a variety of horses for every level of rider. You get in a large group and walk to the beach and up the beach for awhile. The tour was about an hour long and you can meet many people on the tour as well as have a chat with the tour guides. They also have a petting zoo with miniature horses, goats, and chickens. Cons: it is definitely a tourist trap though, almost $100 for two riders is quite steep, especially when the groups are about 30 people deep and you only walk slowly with the horses, not to mention sometimes you get in narrow areas as well as Dodge people and moving cars on the beach, the horses seemed a little moody as well, my wifes horse tried to kick mine twice. Overall fun little tour but if you are looking for a tour where you run or trott the horses with more space and not an enormous group, I suggest a cheaper tour with less people.

Thank you for that great experience! In Germany its prohibited to ride with horses on the beach nearly everywhere. So today we had a really happy new years eve at your place. Your guides are super friendly and took their time to explain some basics before we went to the beach. Your horses are very calm and look well trained. Would recommend this to anyone and especially beginners.

Helpful and friendly staff great horses I took my 2.5 year old to ride. Unfortunately they dont have it set up where she could ride on the beach because only 6+ years could ride on the beach (licensing) but! They offer pony rides to children her age and she loved it! I lead the horse for her and that was probably the only down side for me because Ive never done something like that! Lololl but the experience was great the memories are going to be cherished.

Handlers were great. My very young son had a blast. The sunset ride is where its at.

Was a GREAT experience. All of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The horses were kind and well kept. It was also amazing to find out they are (mostly) rescued horses. Theres a few pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, and ponies on location for you to visit and pet. I have grown and lived here in Corpus my entire life and have always wanted to enjoy The Horses on the Beach. Thank you so much for the experience!

Did about a 2 hour ride .the last one of the night for sunset.Also because of Michael the hurricane winds caused the water to reach the edges of the sand dunes so we had lots of water to ride through and on the farm the water was to the horses belly as we worked our way to the beach. Just got to do it lots of funThey will match the horse to your riding abilities.

The ride was super peaceful and nice and the workers were very sweet but the manager was very rude and mean while we were explaing something to her on the phone but didnt listen, but other than that the horses were amazing and the beach ride was very tranquil

The staff was wonderful. Horses well taken care of and well trained. Originally being from the East im not a fan of the Texas driving on the beach but they have no control over that.

I am currently on the beach on Padre Island and I had to move my familys location because your team stopped the entire group of horses right in front of our car and the horses pooped right in front of my car by the ocean. I must note that there were pretty wide open spots on both sides of my car.

Knowledgeable horse people are running this stable. Lots of different horses of various temperaments. Very safety conscious. We had three guides for six riders. A beautiful ride on the beach. Id do it again.

Said it was open but there was no one to be found and the doors were locked... Not sure if we came at a bad time or what. Also those poor horses should have some kind of drainage if they are gonna be tied up using the restroom all over eachother.. Either way the stench from their feces was absolutely horrible. A little water may even help. Took some pictures of this giant cutie though!

This place is not what it use to be. First I called to make a reservation & they quoted me 65 per rider for an evening ride then when I actually get there they tell me its 75 per person & so happened that there prices have recently changed. It took them 45 mins to actually load everyone on the horses & get us moving. Then they stop everyone to take a photo to try & sell them to you which takes time away from actually enjoying the ride on the horse even if you are not interested in buying there photo they make you stop & take it. This was my gf first time on a horse & I wanted it to be a good experience but the staff took little time to explain how to ride the horse & gave her a horse that was not willing to follow commands & the staff kept yelling at people including my gf when the horses wouldnt listen to commands. Instead of approaching the situation & calmly explaining how to the people should pull on the horses & most of the time it was the horse that didnt want to follow the command. My horse was also not wanting to follow my commands so I can see how frustrating & scary it would be for someones first time on a horse then to have the staff rudely tell at you to control a horse that doesnt want to listen. Seems like this place just wants to make as much money as possible & neglects the customers experience by sending horses that are not ready out for profits. Maybe this is why they will not put any prices on there website because they change it at the last minute when you get there & say its a miscommunication.

My friend and I had a wonderful time today..beach was beautiful, horses got along with each other wonderfully, the staff was friendly and helpful..loved it! And Im a local ( live in Port Aransas). I recommend this.

Staff is friendly. Horses are well trained and behaved. The beach ride can have 30 + people all signed up at the same time. So be prepared to be riding in a large group. There are plenty of staff on the ride to help monitor the group. Horses tend to group together on the ride but you can pull back a little to line out and enjoy the ride more. The ride along the beach is pretty. There are other people on the beach fishing, swimming, and picnicking but for the most part its a pretty private beach ride.

EXCELLENT TRIP IDEA. Visiting Corpus Christi and this was such a great event to do. Whats more Texas than riding a horse, and on the beach?!I am a complete novice and it was so easy and fun. Our guide, Arthur I believe, was very informative and gave great quick tips. The horses are calm and just go wherever you tell them. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Do not hesitate to do this! So much fun! The staff is great. They pair you up with the horse based on your experience. This was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’ve never been to a beach where you could ride horses - or drive your vehicle on, for that matter - so don’t pass up this experience. The prices are very reasonable, and the experience will stick with you forever.

Excellent sunset ride on Labor Day Weekend. The beach was packed but the crew kept the pace down and was on top of everything every step of the way.

Boy oh boy nothing like horseback riding on the beach. Was a great evening watching the sun go down and riding through the water. The girls were great and fun to be around. They were great with my daughter who has never ridden a horse. If I could give 10 stars I would. I highly recommend the sunset ride. Thanks for some great memories guys.

Absolutely loved this...we were first timers and I was completely scared but they put me at ease...it was a great and fun experience...a little pricey but worth the memories i was able to make with my daughter...wish the price included at least one picture but it didnt yet I still purchased both...i highly recommend them

The horses are well treated and not typical nose to tail type so often found at trail riders. They are excellent at pairing riders to horses based on answers you give during the pre ride meet. The guides watch out for the group and offer assistance if needed and the beach is beautiful.

We surprised our kids with the sunset ride. They were super excited and had a ton of fun. Horses were beautiful and healthy. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable. And the photos they took were incredible!My ONLY issue is that we (12 of us, all fairly experienced riders) were put into a group of 33 riders! This took the process of getting on and off WAY too long. The horses were so close together that our legs were brushing against each other and at times the horses were a little “testy” which is ok for an experienced rider but certainly not for the large amount of first timers in the group.If our group had been smaller (much smaller) I would’ve easily given 5 stars!

My husband and I came down to the coast to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and one of the activities we chose was a sunset ride on the beach. My husband rode Scarface and I rode Bermuda. We loved our horses and our guides, Andy, Hailey and Leah were awesome! Hubby is not an experienced rider and he wants to do it again! Thanks.so much for a wonderful time!

Great staff and beautiful horses.

Great and easy ride! We got go to out with Arthur and Haylie(?) as our guides. They were more than happy to answer any questions that came up and filled us in on their history. Back field is apparently flooded during the winter months, or has been this year, so we got to ride through the water to start and end. Horses were all super calm/gentle and great for beginners like us. Horses we took out were Jasmine and Prince for our guides and Jac, Cupid and Scarface for the rest of us. This was an amazing experience! The horses are calm and easy to ride. The guides are friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to make sure everyone is having a nice ride and is comfortable. The site is really cute , they have goats , lambs , pigs and chickens. They have some nice seating areas and they take a picture while you ride .

A must do attraction for the entire family. Staff are very friendly and are always willing to accommodate with horses That meet your needs and family needs. If you have ridden before with them. You can request your same horse by name if you remember him or her or write the name of the photos that they take of you once you purchase for like 8.00 for 2....

Had a great ride along the beach, the staff are careful to match riders with appropriate horses. Anyone finding a negative issues with this business and experience started their day off in a bad mood. They do a great job here handling a wide variety of riders with different skill levels. We did the sunset ride and had a good time. The group was large and there is plenty of beach obstacles to deal with so dont expect an epic trail ride but you can expect a safe and enjoyable ride with friendly guides and a good time. My kid voted this the best part of her vacation by far.

Horses on the Beach was so great! I live in Ohio, so riding on the beach isnt really an option for me. It was nice being able to experience it while in Corpus Christi.The staff were all wonderful. I left a message to schedule a reservation, which was returned within the hour. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and mentioned to call if we needed any help finding the place. When my boyfriend and I got there, we signed our paperwork and we were off to ride.I love that they pair riders based off of their experience. My boyfriend has never been on a horse before. I have had training and experience riding Western, so it was nice that he was able to enjoy it without being overwhelmed while I wasnt bored out my mind and simply just along for the ride. Chester was the perfect fit for my boyfriend -- very calm and chill. I was on Money Maker and he was just absolutely perfect.My only suggestion would be to reduce the group size. It seemed that due to the amount of people whod never been on a horse before the process slowed down. The other problem was getting stuck in a mass of horses. Mine particularly wasnt a fan of other horses in his space, however when I would move my horse the others who were unable to stop/steer their horses just ended up following me, resulting in biting and pinned ears. I also wasnt really able to ride next to my boyfriend at all because we werent assigned our horses together and there were too many people to get near each other.Overall, this place was a blast. The price is great. The horses are beautiful. Every staff member I communicated with was kind and welcoming. And it truly fits each rider to their skill level so that everyone enjoys it! If Im ever back in Corpus Ill definitely be stopping by again!

Its hard to put perfection into words. My horses name was angel eyes and he was indeed an angel. The ride was incredible. The guide was great, he made the ride fun and entertaining. I highly recommend Horses On the Beach to anyone who likes horse back riding. Whenever Im in Corpus Christi again, I will be riding on the beach with angel eyes.

Had such a great time! Hailey, Andy, and Arthur did amazing. They were all so caring and helpful. Really made sure to cater to everyone on the tour. The kids had the best time ever the guides were singing Disney songs with them and everything!! Definitely recommend for anyone so much fun.
