Pretty cool golf course. The front 9 is really cool with the marshes. It was fun looking for alligators. The back 9 is kind of boring. We came the dead of July so the course was in okay shape. They definitely need to do updates to the club house but its a cool course

Called and made a last minute tee time for a Thursday morning. Course was not busy so I went straight out to the first tee. The front nine was excellent. Built on a swamp/marsh with plenty of wildlife. The front nine was challenging and in decent shape. Saw 5 gators and a few large birds. The back nine was nothing special and in need of work on the tee boxes and a few other areas. Not very scenic on the back nine and nothing special that would make me play again on future trips.

The layout is wonderful. The greens are not huge but full of undulations. You can be on the wrong side of a green easily. Its fair and it forces you to hit every club in your bag. Lots of wildlife. Very scenic. A great cart drive over thousand year old marshes. What a place to put a course. Its like they built it in the woods by cutting out trees and not harming the environment.

Its a cool idea but its run down. Clubhouse needs renovations and tee boxes as well as greens need a lot of work.

Great golf! Front nine very secluded and unique. Challenging but very fun.

You have to hit your spots or the Witch will make you pay, it was a fun day, would play it again tomorrow!!

Absolutely love this course . With scenic veiws all around and water abounding every where . One of my favorite places to play . Also give her sister courses the Man o war and the Wizard a try !

Very friendly staff. Later hours for late day golfing after work! Nice layout and very peaceful setting.

Better keep it in the fairways here,alittle off can bring a bog number in play. Need to play safe on all holes with waste areas.

Overall the course was in great shape. A few of the greens had some rough spots on them and needed some attention.

The greens were firm and smooth. The ball rolled perfect. It was fun to have to play the ball high for the front pins and run them to the back. Some tee boxes were ridiculously bad.

Alligators were spectators to the performance of the golfers. We had fun.

After playing True Blue ($69), Tidewater ($54), Thistle ($58), this course at $68 with a golf passport was underwhelming. The course was not even remotely close to the previously mentioned courses in terms of overall conditions. The tee boxes are in rough condition and many are extremely uneven and could use reconstruction. The pro shop staff was not very friendly and the overall presentation of the clubhouse could use some work.Bottom line: play the above mentioned courses for less money and far better conditions.

This is a great Golf Course to play. Make sure you bring your bug repellent during the summer months the mosquitoes are as big as turkeys and will carry you away. The course is tight and well-manicured

Loved this course. It was in great condition and the layout was a lot of fun. Accuracy is rewarded greatly on this course and wayward shots a punished heavily. I think this is a must play when in Myrtle Beach. Ill be playing this course again the next time Im in town.

A bit above average difficulty. Very good condition even with all of the recent rain. Alot of carry over rough. Scenic course surrounded on most sides by a swamp.

Great hosts for our tournament. Extremely accommodating and helpful.

Nice golf course with friendly staffers. Fairways were in good condition. Greens were quick and for the most part in good condition. Few water hazards and natural areas to hit over but most of them are left or right of the fairways.

Really enjoyed the round. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Course wasnt perfect but very nice. Wasnt crowded on Sunday morning so me and wife, who hasnt played alot wasnt rushed.

Came with a package with the other two courses. This one had the front nine bring through the marsh and picturesque. Pretty cool tee markers, grass was pretty long in the greens, but its hard to know if thats bad upkeep or just the weather. Bring extra balls because there are lots of critters, and its not worth wrestling a gator to get your last ball back.

Love the Witch. Love the wildlife, like the many alligators, birds and many little creatures that live there. The course is beautiful and challenging. The azaleas are beautiful, as well as the dogwoods. Its a wildlife preserve and isnt surrounded by houses. Just love it.

We had 4 days of playing golf in Myrtle Beach and fortunately we chose The Witch Course to be one of them.Overall excellent course, challenging but not unfair, quiet through the woods settings with wildlife such as turkeys, gators and birds of all types and sizes added to the experience.Staff was extremely pleasant, pricing was very attractive and a bargain given other choices we made that were all much more.Do not overlook this gem. Our group conferred about the four we played and 100% agreed the Witch was a must return course.

Nice layout the greens are all recovered except one par 3 which the t box needs work also. Great staff, cold towels at turn helps. Recommended!!!

I love this place - great course - great shape - great layout - gators - all over the place (front nine)... and there are babies (apr 9+10 ) 8-9 baby gators with Mom and Pop on 6th hole.Great / Friendly staff. I play this place every year.Thanks for another great 54!!!

Course conditions are basically terrible these days - 10/1/2019 - both Witch and Wizard were poor. Relatively cheap golf but jeez, could also get that at the local Muni. Weather has been tough and I feel bad for golf in MB, but you should know before you reserve - hard to find honest, current opinion on conditions - thats on Google, but I digress...

Played two times last week on an annual buddies trip. Course is fun with some challenging holes. Staff was very friendly and starter got us out ahead of schedule. I like that course doesnt have a bunch of homes surrounding it and the wildlife is pretty spectacular. Greens are in good shape, fairways are great, tee boxes need a little leveling in spots. Helps to get a yardage book at this course, there are some blind shots that unless you drive up to take a look you wouldnt know you would be hitting into trouble.

Liked the course. Last par three was a challenging hole.

The staff in the clubhouse was rude and the condition of the course was not very good. Some of the greens had bare spots. One of the tee boxes was almost completely bare, no grass. A lot of the course had clumps of grass from where it appears the grass was pretty high before it was mowed. I was very disappointed with the condition of the course for the price.

I have played this course often. It used to be one of my favorites. But it appears management has stopped all maintenance. I can put up with some of the tee boxes being in bad shape (Im using a tee anyway) but when the greens are down to sand or burnt grass its obvious someone in charge doesnt care. I wonder if their getting ready to sell it. Go to Little River or Longs. Courses there are in much better shape and are relatively inexpensive.

The Witch Golf Course has turned the corner after all of the damage caused by the flooding of the entire front 9 from hurricane Florence in the fall of 2018. The maintenance crew has done an amazing job of bringing the greens back, well worth a visit!

Walking a tight-rope thru a swampy forest. Course in fair condition. Pace of play held to slow by what looked like determined lga players.

I always like the Witch golf course. Its in good shape. Playing there again Sunday.

Hard course but fun

The course was in great shape, and we saw alligators, egrets, and lots of turkeys on a beautiful spring day! Highly recommended The Witch--no houses or condos, and youre playing a course that meanders through the woods.

Challenging but fair. This course has some great views, nice fairways and greens that are super fast. Be on your game when you come to the Witch.

This is a regular golf course on our yearly trip. Disappointed in the tee boxes and greens. I’m used to waaay better conditions. Courteous staff as always. Compared to the sister courses, manOwar and The Wizzard...this one comes in 3rd place this year. Hopefully they can turn the conditions around next time...or we are taking it off our rotation.

Tee boxes were mostly uneven dirt piles and the greens were horrible. I love the layout but was disappointing to play. Very hard to put on patches of grass and dirt.

This is the best course I have ever played. Its absolutely beautiful. Every hole on the front nine is secluded. Holes 10 11 and 12 arent as private but the front nine more than make up for it. Greens and fairways were pristine. There is so much wildlife ..can you believe alligators? See pics I add.Absolutely stunning and I really cant say enough.

One of my favorites although I heard recently that this course unfortunately is going to be shutting down soon?? This course is beautiful has all kinds of wildlife on it beautiful marshes.

This is the worse golf course in Myrtle Beach. Its clubhouse is old, moldy, etc. It has one attendant and they charge $105.00. Go to any of the Legend courses. 100 times better and cheaper

Old classic course. Narrow and challenging.

Was at the course around 5pm with a group of about seven of us at the end of April. The rate we had to pay was $75 each. No break what so ever. I guess they knew they had out of town golfers that the could stick it to with a normal rate. No twilight rate to offer and they knew we couldnt get the whole 18 in before dark. The course was not worth the $75 paid. Course was not in great shape, not even what I would consider okay shape. And I did not find the staff to be all that pleasant. And no one around to manage things on the course. We skipped a couple of holes to play 18 coming in. And we had to wait in the fairway while the locals league had their putting contest on the 18th green. Sounded like they were having a good time and didnt care about anyone else on the course waiting. And no one around to monitor their ignorance of golf etiquette. I guess the folks in the pro shop just wanted to take our money and run. This was my first trip to this course and will definitely be the only trip I take to this course. Many more courses around to play that are better courses and a better value.

This course is my favourite. Very nice scenery, water, and woods. Challenging but not hard to play.

It was a fun course to play but the course was fairly expensive. Getting to see the wildlife was neat. I enjoyed it but I doubt I play here much more simply because of the price compared to how the course was. I am giving it a 4 star because I enjoyed it and think you should try it at least once.

Fun layout and accommodating staff. The course was nearly empty when we teed off, and it was in fantastic shape. Aside from the weirdo behind us (we tried to let a faster group play through and he yelled we dont do that here!) it was a great experience. It doesnt hurt that I played my best round outside of OH!

The Staff was very helpful & Nice. Our group from Houston Texas with 17 guys really enjoyed the Golf course & the hospitality.Awesome day of golf. Course is in great shape.Thanks to the entire staff at The Witch.

Beautiful course with lots of wildlife. After yesterdays rains it was rather wet in spots.

Great course, friendly staff, lots of wildlife. Great test of skills and fun all around. Coming back in 3 weeks and you bet I will recommend this course to anyone and everyone. :)

Front 9 was in good shape. Back 9 needs some work.

Rude staff! Their site states open to public but my wife and I was turn away cause we did not play a round of golf before we wanted to pay to hit some balls at the driving range. If you are looking for a golf course to truly enjoy I suggest you look elsewhere.

What a delightful course! Its not gimmicky or hokey as some suggest. It is an amazing course cut out of nature with great fairways and greens. Staff super friendly all around. Highly recommend this on your next trip to Myrtle Beach. My buddy golfs there every time he goes to MB and I will now too. A must play.

Loved it - I was a bit distracted by the wildlife including the alligators on the front 9 and my golf game suffered a bit because of it. I didnt even care. It was beautiful. Fun course! Challenging and in good shape. Bathrooms could use updating - on the course there didnt appear to be any except very old and under construction. The guys werent bothered.

The group who owns this golf course has not invested money for many years. The back nine is very very dissapointing. Free meal and beverage is not enough to justify the golf fees.

Greens were overseeded, aerated, and large areas were repaired, ergo, putting was challenging.

Very good course. I liked the way it was nestled in the swampy woods. My only complaint would be that it rained the night before we played, and the greens were very slow, and many shots would simply stick if you hit it too high, versus running up onto the green on pitches.

Wet, greens not good due to winter seeding. Pace was good, traps poor. Not good landing areas from forward tees. Women arent the first priority is obvious.

This course has some unfair holes for the average golfer. #9 is some sort of bad joke!

For $70 the course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes are not mowed properly missing grass. Sand traps are not properly maintained. Some greens are burned. This would be better if the green fees were more in line with the course management. Maybe $45 or $50 would make it worth it. Bridges are in disrepair cart paths are a mess. Again $70 green fee is not warranted for this course.

One of my favorite courses down here

This golf course was in horrible sharp. The people that work here are very rude. We come down as a big group every year for a golf trip. We will Never play this course again or any of there others. Go some place else and you will have more fun.

So we got rained out on the back nine so my review really only encompasses the first 9. Regardless of the rain, I really liked this course. Great location, excellent scenery with no houses on the course to hit! Was a challenging layout for a low 100s shooter. Nice elevation and the the greens were smooth and quick, even with some rain in the morning. Of course when the sky let go and a rivers were running across the greens and fairways, it slowed everything down. Will play there again on my next trip to Myrtle Beach.

Great place to golf, saw wild turkeys, deer, and alligators.
