Fun farm day! Great staff. Easy to walk around and thru buildings from turn of century to about 1950s. Cow, pigs, horse and other farm animals to see. Kids to seniors walking about. Picnic area and nice farm fresh items to buy on way out. Quick drive in from MB.
Peanut day was a great time with my granddaughter. She was very interested in harvesting raw peanuts.
Neat place to see a lot of farm history for this area. The people who run this are so friendly, and care so much about what they were doing, it made the visit very enjoyable. Thank you all.
We went in July and made butter. We didn’t use milk from the cow on the farm. We used heavy whipping cream* much more kid friendly. After we made our own milk by shaking mason jars they let us wander around the farm. They do everything there. The people running the farm are very knowledgeable and friendly. We had an amazing experience. It’s wonderful to see a different way of living. A way of living that so many of our parents experienced living in this area. Can’t wait for Tobacco day!
Absolutely fascinating! They actually run the farm, growing crops, processing them, and sometimes selling them in the gift shop. Very kind, helpful staff. We could only stay so long, but we couldve spent longer. We will be back!
Amazing
Wonderful educational tour of working farm using old methods. The tour guide, Dennis, was very knowledgeable and answered all questions asked.
Neat to see some old farm buildings but thats basically it...there was a little gift shop and an area where you could see a couple turkeys, chicken, and cows from afar. It took us about 15 minutes to see everything and be ready to leave. Nice that its free!
We just left. Its a gem! We bought fresh eggs , boiled peanuts and fresh gritch from this location.. also got fresh scuppernogs . We will be coming back soon.
