Nice quite trails with a good amount of shade. Signs need some work
A hidden gem in Bartholomew County! Such a nice place to hike and see birds, butterflies, and frogs.
Very heavily wooded...bring shoes u dont mind getting wet if necessary. Also weve caught 1 tick here. But easily removable no big deal!
The trails are in great condition
So happy to have discovered this place. Honestly not much to it, 1.9 miles of trail (98 acres of land) ..but its the largest natural area in Bartholomew County. The trails are very easily navigated & well taken care of ...& there are plenty of benches for breaks along the way!
This is a beautiful and usually uncrowded nature preserve with several nice loop trails!A few notes, though:The parking area only holds 4-5 vehicles.Ticks are INSANE here during the warmer months. The last time I visited, I actually found four INSIDE my shoe when I got home. Just be vigilant about checking yourself and pets over carefully.
Its a peaceful hike for the kids and dogs.
Well maintained trail
Beautiful and quiet and peaceful
Great place for a walk
Nice short trail. Easy to walk. Beautiful forest. Tons of ticks!
Hiked Shawnee and Lenapee Trails with my dogsEasy 1.9 loops
A wonderful place to take a walk (or run if thats your thing.) no facilities. Can be hard to find without GPS, would not happen upon it.
This is a little known resource in Columbus - you can go for a nature walk through the woods and not have to go to Brown County! They have some tree species labeled so you can make the hike educational in addition to peaceful.
This place was beautiful from what we could see. We were not able to find anyone else there when we went but will try visiting again when we get details.
Beautiful owl!
Awesome trails and geocaches. ;-) Good places to sit and think along the way.
I love this great hike for seniors
An underused and rarley known resource for the west side residents of Columbus, IN. Quiet solitude during the week - hardly ever used. A great place to hike or run in the woods without having to drive 20 + miles to the Chas. Deam Wilderness or Bear Wallow Hollow in Brown Co. Enjoy!
Loved. This place is amazing and i always enjoy going here
