I grew up going to this park. There is a nice playground, picnic spots, and lots of tennis! Unfortunately I havent been able to visit for recreation much in the last few years. I do go to recycle. Im grateful that they have their city of Columbus recycling collection bins there as it gives me a close location to easily drop off items while out doing my shopping. Im not alone, they need more bins or need to empty them more often.

I was shocked at the condition of the park. There were overflowing trash cans in some of the areas, several small limbs not yet cleaned up, from the last storm I can only assume. Most disappointing was several places on some of the trails had gulleys that could cause someone to fall. Many of the signs on the walking trails were rusted and barely legible. I had not been there since before the pandemic started, and was I ever disappointed to see how rundown the park is. What happened to the play areas? I saw only one. The other smaller ones were gone. It was disappointing to see. I hope the city will get it back to the wonderful area it once was.

Nice big park with multiple playgrounds a really nice tennis court and a large lake where you can fish and feed the geese. Picnic areas all over and a huge walking track. Could use a little more maintenance as far as cleaning but otherwise a great park for the family

The playground that used to be there a few years ago was great. The whole park has taken a turn for the worse. Its trashed and dirty and it pretty obvious that the city has abandoned all hope. What was at one time a vibrant oasis is now a steamy pile of dung. Im sad to inform you that its not even worth 1 star now

I loved the cute little ducks and gow you can feed them! Its great for relaxing. It also have a walking trail for those who like to walk or run.

I love sitting by the lake having coffee, breakfast or just sitting. The park is a bit of a mess because of a severe storm we recently had. Wish people would respect Cooper creek and put their trash in the trash can. They are there use them. Ducks and Geese are so sweet

This park has something for everyone, tennis, playground, plenty of areas to eat and lakeside trails for a couple of miles.

It is pretty run down in my opinion. They had a walking path it was closed. Looks like it has been for a while. They should fix it. But the ducks were really cute.

It has a cute little play area. The play area could be a bit bigger but its not bad. Its a beautiful open park on the water and with its own walking trail. I did find out that some times its not always safe but when I took my kids they were safe and they had a blast.

Beautiful, peaceful place to relax, fish, and enjoy time in the outdoors. Please help keep it clean so we can all enjoy it for many years to come.

Love this park!! Its a very large park with plenty of trails for walking, biking and running. Numerous tennis as well as basketball courts. Super clean with alot of placea tr ok grill, picnic or just relax and people watch. And so many play areas for the kids.

I love this park. Lovely people frequent here, and when the seasons change its gloriously picturesque. Beware of goose poo-- but dont let that deter you from the serene trail!

It is a clean & relaxing atomshere

Yet another great park in Columbus, GA. Great to drive through or walk on the trails. There is also a paved walk way for biking/walking. Plenty of trees and wonderful scenery for an outing. Covered picnic areas available. The only issue is the ducks do leave little bombs everywhere and it’s quite heavy so keep that in mind.

Great place to learn and play tennis.

We visited this park to burn some time but I got so engrossed with the flock of geese that gathered there. What a sight. The park also has trails that I would have loved to venture but didnt have the time.

We always enjoy seeing the geese.

I appreciate all the shade and plentiful picnic tables with benches. As others have noted, the trail needs work to be really user friendly.

I love cooper creek. Its my favorite place to go for a run or a walk. Good place to bring your furry friends for a walk too with a leash of course. The scenery is beautiful and everyone around is always so friendly.

Beautiful family friendly park. One of the hiking trails is closed. Restrooms a bit disappointing, no doors, I totally get why.

Peaceful/very small volume of people

Nice park but the amount of trash is appaling Entire south shoreline is covered in trash. The Bathrooms are nasty with mold and lacking soap.

Cooper Creek Park is very good Park. I took my daughter and grandson Peyton here and they loved it. Next time Ill have to bring my dogs, Im quite sure theyll love too

Very peaceful and calming place.

The only reason I will not go five stars is because the city does not keep things in good condition. The tennis courts are great and they have two good sized playgrounds. Fishing is another good option here. The most important reason I will list is because it is a great place to take your dogs in the area. Please do not be ignorant we have a leash law in Columbus and keep your pets on a leash so all of us can have a good time.

Love this park and all the nature. Itdoes not have a very big play ground, but its nature trails are wondering to walk or run through.

Quiet, beautiful, and clean. Regularly patrolled by cops. I go out here every Sunday morning for Tai Chi, its one of the best parks in Columbus

Kids love to fish and enjoy the playground area too. Duck food for sale and they enjoy being fed. Great place for a sunday afternoon barbeque

This is an awesome place for bike riding, walking, fishing, family picnics, and tennis. It also surround by some great neighborhoods like SEARS WOOD. Check out homes for sale in Sears Wood Subdivision- great prices. Awesome place to hang out for a family picnic, walk the dog or work out. Tons of space to park, covered picnic areas, trails, playgrounds and pretty views of the water. The park seems well maintained and safe.

Excellent relaxing park for the entire family.

Its a fun, very pretty place to be. The wildlife is fun and entertaining. Theres plenty of green areas to relax in. Turns out the area to the left of the entrance that has a yellow gate closes a couple hours earlier than the rest of the park. Its really nice over there, and so was the patrol who told me it was closed when I was there 30 minutes later. Bring about a dollar or two in quarters for the geese. Its a fun time.

Its a nice park but still a lot of noise from the roads.

This is by far my favorite park to go to and I love to fish there easy catch as well.

As always, a lovely place to visit. Good running trail, people who do run or jog can enjoy the scenery on the lake set in the middle with duck and geese wandering around; could even see people hanging out with friends. Granted, Im a fan of the latter, it still makes this a lovely place to visit and have a family outing.

Nice place for interacting with local wildlife. There are feeders vending food for $0.25 located all around the park. My boy loved the place!

We love this park!! Several playgrounds for the kids. You buy the duck/geese food there and the kids love feeding them. We always have a blast!

This park actually is a LIVING AND THRIVING ecosystem, so if you have to run through duck or geese poo, thats your problem. Can you run elsewhere? Because you are complaing about something thats free?

Okay park for skating, walking, running, biking, etc. Tennis courts are kept up very well.

The childrens play ground is rusty, dilapidated and poorly maintained. The swings have sharp edges protruding from the seats as do some of the climbing equipment. Not a good place for children at all. The entire park has a run down look. If you just want to go for a walk or jog its okay. If you play tennis I suppose its excellent because a lot of money was spent for the tennis area. I dont know if taxpayer money or private funds were spent for the tennis center, but its well maintained.

Ive been walking around this park for about 15 years and its so pleasant to walk the trail and observe the wildlife, both animal and human!

Weather was nice. We played with new friends on the play ground. The park was nice and clean. There were may familes enjoying cookouts and birthday parties

The facilities are a little run down but the park had its charm. I wish the fishing was better but its mostly just turtles.

I wish they would do better at picking up all the trash everywhere.

This park has one main area for children. There is a great walking and jogging only trail which is 1 1/2 miles long. It is a heat place to watch the sunset or the large number of birds. You may have to watch your step due to all the geese droppings.

Great facility! Tons for courts both clay and hard. Bathrooms need a little updating but overall, reallky nice!

It is a beautiful place. I know that people go there that dont care about how they treat the park, but you can tell the people who take care of this park puts a lot of heart into their job and never gives up on ensuring it stays beautiful and enjoyed by all!

This is wonderful Park to go to with the family, including the four-legged furry types.

I enjoy going here and being alone with my thoughts and the wildlife. My daughter wanted to be alone with her thoughts and drawing pad as well.
