My English teacher just loved Tennessee Williams, so a visit to the former home of arguably Americas greatest playwright brought back cherished memories. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wear the mask. Protect Mississippi.

Its so interesting to go into a town, (Columbus, Miss,) for a wedding and find that it is the home if a nationally known play wright. The history of Tennessee Williams is explained by the docent. Actual artifacts from his life are shown throughout. No cost is asked, though you can donate. Highly recommended.

The staff is so enjoyable, they will provide answers to all your questions. If your not sure what sites you would like to see they have a large selection of informational pamphlets that will allow you to see the best of Columbus, MS. If your very open to suggestion simply ask for info on the most popular local attractions. They can give you all the details you need for local and the close to area attractions. If thats not enough the house itself has plenty of character on its own! I hope your visit is great, there are no bad stops or vacations just the ones you choose to not enjoy!

Learned a lot about this American Icon. Carolyn, from the visitor center, was able to share additional information about the location. She was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Thanks for preserving a piece of Americana.
