This park is beautiful and we had fun going up the observation tower and seeing the city. The open grassy areas were nice and the covered bridge is neat to look at and drive through. However, we tried to take a stroll around the pond, but it was pretty gross. From a distance, it looked nice, but up close, it was covered in algea and stunk of dead fish.(We also saw several dead fish floating) The walkways were covered in water and mud, and it seems that its a normal occurrence based on others pictures, and the amount of mud and debris on the sidewalk.

It was nice. Good for walking, in terms of entertainment for kids eh...

Beautiful, well-kept park. Perfect for pictures, picnicking, and so much more. There are basketball courts within the park as well as a pond. There are also many walkways and paths perfect for walking.

My family and I really love this hidden gem in Columbus, Indiana. It has a great trail, a covered bridge, the open theater, playground, pond with ducks, other wildlife, and its surrounded with beautiful scenery. Weve visited multiple times and each time it gets better. The best part is that because of the location its never too crowded except for events and holidays. Its something to check out by yourself or with the fam, for sure.

Pretty park. Nice playground, designed so that the river can overflow and not destroy buildings. Restrooms dont have doors, which took some getting used to. Very nice views of water areas.

Great park! Nice, large childrens playground, which is open during pandemic. Beautiful pond, with nice walkway around it. The park also has plenty of frontage on the river.

I have always loved Millrace. Nice playground, nice stretch of paths to walk, a basketball court, tower to climb, plenty of shelters with picnic tables & grills... right on the river... I think of it as an oasis in the middle of Columbus

It was beautiful and very peaceful. I was in town for a conference and the came up as a site to see. I enjoyed it immensely. Lots of sculptures to see. An observation tower to check out the view. Theres an old covered bridge that made for great pictures. There was a couple jet offs where you could be above the river.

Its a great place to go for family fun, fishing, picnics, playing at the park, even a nice stroll on the paved path

Very nice park. The covered bridge is a nice touch.Id love to see this in the fall with all the leaves are changing.The observation tower provided a great view of the park, river, and parts of downtown.No sighting of the Mill Race Park Monster(Google it) though. A little disappointed.

This park could be a really beautiful place to go. We took lunch there to eat and went to sit down at one of the picnic tables and it was covered with grass and dirt from the mowing. Then while we were eating a park worker came by spraying for weeds. When done eating we decided to walk around the water pond and theres goose poop everywhere on walk. It would if been nice to walk on the sidewalk since it was muddy everywhere. The water was so stagnant it smelled like a sewer pit. Otherwise it would or could be a beautiful park.

Great park for running. The trail goes along side the river with very slight rolling hills. You can go on a 3+ mile loop without losing interest. However the park floods pretty bad whenever it rains a lot.

The part of the park we were in had a little playground with both little and big swings. There were nice shade trees and benches around the perimeter. The kids also really liked the lake area. Seems like a nice playground.

Great place for a run or to play frisbee/basketball/badminton. Bike on the peoples trail or walk along the river bank. Good place to picnic too. Theres a tower you could climb up the stairs of, for a view of Columbus.

Such a cool, quiet park next to a funky town. The old bridge is beautiful, even if it was closed for repairs when we visited.

There is a lot of sand on the road from flooding. Otherwise it seems to be a well maintained park.

I am here at least once a week with a workout group. The trails are beautiful, just watch out if theres neen a lot of rain. Its prone to flioding.

Its a nice park to ride your bike to since the people trail runs right though it. The river is very nice as well as the enclosed pond. Its a very scenic park and a great place to relax outside.

Great place to picnic or take a walk! The trail next to the river is well maintained, theres a lot of good parking (most conveniently located close to picnic tables), the playground is expansive, and overall its very clean! The only downside is how many mosquitoes you encounter next to the river... but that cant really be helped.

Mill Race Park is a great place to take the kids to play on the playground.This is also a great park to go for a walk on the trails, play basketball, go up the tower and enjoy a great view of downtown Columbus.You can sled down the hill of the amphitheater in the winter, catch concerts when its warm out, enjoy the arts festival and so much here throughout the year.One thing I would recommend staying away from is bringing young children here to swim. Too many children have been swept away over the years in the river.A great place to go for a good time with the family or by ones self.Have fun and be safe.

Great place for workout groups. The structures around the park are also excellent for picnics. Not always the cleanest park.

The park is nice. Unfortunately, it does get pretty muddy in areas of walking.

This is the best park in the county, in my opinion. It is large, has a beautiful lake, the river runs alongside it, and it has good pavilions and playgrounds.

Lovely park, always a great place to stop. The river overlook areas are amazing. Plenty of walking trails/sidewalks. The kids playground is always a blast, except the swings are really high up and my 2 oldest kids couldnt use them without being lifted up and even I struggles to reach them. The grass is always trimmed and trash is always picked up. Really a nice park in Columbus, lots to see.

What a fun place to hang out! The whole family can have fun. Everything from walking, hiking, frisbee, the river, paddle boats, playgrounds, bike rentals and a lookout tower! Plenty to do for everyone!

Great place for family walks. There is also a kids playground. Parking is available in the park.

The only downside is that this park tends to become flooded when it rains really heavily. Other than that, it is a beautiful park.

This was an accidental visit , as all we did was drive by there. On a side note the park has different amenities and play areas, people trails, built in grills, shelter houses and an amphitheater.

A really nice park with lots of options. I worked with the parks department to set up a special event, and they were very easy to work with.

Mill Race Park is an open expanse to be enjoyed by everyone. There is a playground for youngsters, basketball courts for the athletic type, bike and pedestrian paths for walking and riding, and large green areas for creative minds. Take in nature, or stroll through an old Covered Bridge. There is even a public access site for those wanting to put a boat on the river. When open, Mill Race Tower offers a stunning view of Columbus, IN. Take some time to stroll, play, laugh, take pictures, and create memories!

One of the more scenic parks in Columbus, Indiana. I use it to jog in because its next to the water and well shaded on the paths.

Its a great place to go for classes for ballroom dancing thats a little gym there and the people are real nice

This is probably the best park to go to within a 50-mile range of where I live which is in Seymour they have a huge Lake right there in the middle and a walkway where you can walk on all sides of its pretty amazing actually have a tower thats usually closed off most of the time and they also have the river running right along side of it where you can also put your boats in its pretty nice place I was just go there and go for a walk around

Nice park. Floods often. Very spread out. There is plenty of room to play and many people paths to wander. There is a nice reflection pond too. Theres even a river to drown in.

Went there for a concert, they have a nice play area for the kids. Its a nice park.

Great park for walking, jogging, or biking. There is a river side trail. The park is very close to the Columbus downtown. There are facilities for outdoor sports. There is a kids play area as well. Overall, a highly recommended place to visit in the Columbus Indiana area.
