Nice big sky and good place for bird watching. Trails by river are fairly boring and watch your step for big roots everywhere to trip you up.
Easy trails but closes earlier than the park on the other side of the river. Closes at 5:30 p.m.
Trail wasnt very long or too nice but the views of the river banks were absolutely worth it- an amazing view!
Beautiful trails. Access to the river when the water is low. Just relaxing and quiet. You forget there is a major highway close by.
Great views and limitless access to the river. I did not enjoy tripping on one of the dozens of tiny tree stumps in the middle of the Sycamore Trail. Those should be properly ground down for safety purposes.
Beautiful vista, nice place to take a quick walk. Im hopeful they will be able to expand this area. They have placed a canoe entry sign so I am excited to give that a shot too!
Hike here often..
Awesome hike! Saw 2 large red tail hawks and a small bald eagle!
Dog friendly. Short walk. Canoe access
Ok food for the price but had to wait 45 minutes just to have food delivered to the table & had to ask for flatware to eat. my food was luke warm but by then I was so tired that I ate what I could & left the rest since it was cold by then.
Love this new area of high banks. We used to have to hike all the way down the river from the main park to get to this area
The scenery is beyond beautiful. We love the trails
Nice for a short and easy walk.
A smal park with a big view
My wife and I I know new puppy Miss Molly, woke highbanks every morning 1 mile 7 days a week. We treat the park as a personal Garden. We watched it grow over the years, almost 40 years. I never cease to Marvel other quality the beauty iMac air with which the park is treated by the workers the Wardens and the people privileged to use the park.
Beautiful with only surroundings being nature.
One of the trails was flooded today which others have mentioned... Didnt get to enjoy the near river portion today due to wanting to keep my shoes dry
I like this area a lot. It seems to be a good bit less busy than the other side of high banks accessed from 23. Down by the river, it feels a lot less like you are right in a city. No paved trails, so it can get a little sloppy when wet, but it is a nice different feel than some of the other areas and has great river scenery.
Map shows a put in for kayaks and canoes but we couldnt see it. No place to drive close to water either. So, instead of hiking and dragging boats, we went to Alum Creek. Plan to hike here another time and see what there is. Please make more river put ins around Columbus for kayaks!
Easy access off SR315, beautiful views from ravine , quiet with nice finished walkway. Parking close by, short walk to path.
Beautiful scenery, nice walking trail. A bit steep depending on your health status. It would be nice if there were a couple of benches and or picnic tables. Other than that very nice area.
New section for Highbanks MetroPark. The steep gravel path takes you to the bottom area. Most paths along the river were already there before the park opened. An incredible grove of Sycamores is also filled with maples and many Buckeye trees. It can get muddy. As this area easily floods, I doubt it will ever get any more development.
The Columbus Metro Oarks are a diamond jewel
Pleasant walk. I will have to return to explore more.
Disappointing
Nice enough but other than a short but nice walk along the river, not much there.
Beautiful area, but no activities other than a very short walking path.
Short but nice walk by the river. Not busy at all.
Its beautiful to look around
Scenic views
Nice new addition to the metro parks
Very cool addition to metro parks
Fantastic view
Beautiful
Can we camping there?
Nice river walk!
Take my kids always
Disappointed that you cant actually see the river from the bluffs, but still a gorgeous view. The information station needs to update their maps to include this section of the park. No restroom at this section of park.
Peaceful walking or jogging area
Nice park
Beautiful scenery
