This is a wonderful park. I went on a Friday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. There are both paved and unpacked trails, it’s dog friendly, and there are so many beautiful native plants to look at and the bird watching is legit. It’s clean, safe, and well maintained.

This was a really fun place for kids and adults! We went to celebrate a 10yr olds birthday. We strived early and rock climbed, did the challenge course, visited the nature center, and walked the wetland trail. The ladies in the nature center were so sweet and informative, while social distancing of course. Over all it was worth the trip. One draw back is that there were SO many yellow jackets! Our birthday boy got stung up on the small boulder, after seeing the yellow jackets (and getting away on the larger rock wall), and later we found a nest on the triangle-shaped climbing net as well. We had to leave to get first aid supplies from across town.

I love going to this park! Scenery is beautiful and the park/trails are well cared for! The dog park is nice and also well cared for - there is a small gated dog park and a large gated dog park and an extra gated dog park. They are all close together with 2 water fountains provided for the dogs! There is also a nice rock climbing wall and playground area as well as an obstacle course!

This is by far one of our favorite parks to go to!! My kids LOVE every aspect of it! They always have to do the obstacle course when we first get there, usually a few times just so the can beat each other lol. Then we typically head over to the water tower and walk up to the top viewing deck. You can get some great pics from there! Plus its just so beautiful and peaceful. Then we usually walk over to the pond and see what kind of animals we can see. They love finding the frogs and turtles that pop up. Then we go check out the activities inside the building if theyre open. Typically we head to the trails after that. We get a full day in every time we go there and everyone has so much fun!

Fantastic place to have a family picnic. Place has a shaded sitting area, a grill, sand volleyball pit, water fountain, playground for the kids and a huge climbing/bouldering wall. On the way opposite side there is an obstacle course great for practicing for a tough mudder or Spartan race, and in between them both a great field of grass great for running practice, drills or a matching band practice.

This is a great Metro Park right in downtown. The nature center is a great surprise with a bike shop open to the public in case you need to fix your bike. The display on how the building was made is a fascinating as anything else on display. Its a nice building to cool down in while the kids play on the indoor play area. I recommend this downtown park.

One of my favorite Columbus Metro Parks, this park was built on reclaimed land of the Whittier peninsula. Its hard to believe this used to be an impound lot. It has something for everyone, trails for walking and cycling, climbing walls, obstacle course, river views, wildflowers, wetlands, dog park and more. It also sits in a major migratory bird route and is run in conjunction with the Audubon society. The Grange Audubon center is a beautiful modern building that fits into the landscape perfectly and offers places to relax, a gift shop, class rooms and event space.

A uniquely urban park within the metro park system. This park is easy to access from downtown and has some really neat features like the water tower (climb up for a view of downtown), the climbing walls, and a huge nature center. It would be nice if the drone if highway traffic wasn’t so loud at every point in the park... but it’s also nice to have a great green space right in the heart of the city!

This is one of the best parks in the Columbus area--and thats saying a lot. If the weather isnt conducive to outdoor activities, there is an indoor area with educational exhibits and a small library. But the outdoor area is why youre really here. Tons of bike/walking paths, a pond area to observe nature, a big climbing wall, a playground for the kids, and the water tower observation deck... plus sports fields where today there was a rugby game going on. The indoor facility is a gem that thankfully a lot of people skip over, too.

Trails seem to be well kept, and there is a rock climbing wall next to a playground. If you plan to climb, be sure to bring gear like harness and clip, as you could get in trouble for trying to free solo the wall without the gear. In addition to that, when its not too muddy, theres an obstacle course just a couple steps away from the wall, and a water tower where you can take a good look overhead of the park.
