This is a great location for a solo, couple, friends, or family relaxing walk or picnic in the gardens. There are plenty of open spaces as well as tucked away corners to either people watch or connect privately with your companions. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of roses, which are well kept and flourish through the summer. Great for photos and close to amenities in Clintonville if you want to make a day of it and have lunch, enjoy outdoor recreation and then relax.

Great place to spend the day and check out all the beautiful plants and flowers. They have very nice walkways and paths that lead to different sections. It looks like a perfect place to hold an outside wedding or large event. Restrooms are located onsite however due to COVID-19 they only have portable bathrooms available. Handicap accessible parking available and plenty of parking right out front. We really enjoyed our walk through the gardens and down by the creek that runs through. It would be a great place to go bring kids of any age to run and explore. Pet friendly if they are leashed and someone even had doggie treats sitting around in different areas, so if your dog is on a diet watch out. I really enjoyed the identification plaques on all the different species of plants along the way.

Beautiful park. Lots of open walkways, tons of stunning roses to view. I recommend you come between Mothers day and the end of June to see the best selection of flowers! This is a great place to take senior pictures or have a wedding. There are also tennis courts, large open grass areas and plenty of parking.

Whetstone Park of roses is my favorite park. The roses are always gorgeous. With really cute gazebos. There are two different playgrounds, a casting pond, baseball fields, soccer field,, tennis courts, and bike paths. It really has something for everyone. The rose gardens are just a little past the library, but definitely walking distance.

I came the wrong time of year out of medical necessity. It was still calming and relaxing, and the dog and I got much needed recreation and fresh air. The ducks on the fishing pond were charming, as were the kids on the playground... But the only flowers in bloom were wild ones untended by man, only invigorated by God.

Park of Roses is a nice park, there is tennis, baseball, soccer, fishing, two pavilions, Public Library, trails paved and non paved. The rose garden boasts to be the Worlds Largest and its all maintained by volunteers of Clintonville. There are two playgrounds one up top by the library suited for 10 and under, there are horseshoe rings, and down by the stocked pond there is another playground for all sizes they offer porta pottys for use of needed. Something for everyone.

The roses, the fountain, the variety of gardens and trails around them: these are the main reasons people list the Park of Roses as a great place to visit. Those are all part of the reasons I do as well, yet there are many more reasons. The majority of people visiting this garden are good folks who will smile at you regardless of who you are, where youre from, what you look like, etc. The roses bind us all; as long as you respect them, you are- in turn- respected. There are bags to bundle up the refuse your dogs leave behind, and they are welcome at the park as long as they are generally under control (leashed or well trained). There are areas to sit, so anyone can take in the beauty of the area. The path is mostly smooth, and wheelchair accessible, so anyone can easily visit it. Some of the roses are fragrant, but youll only know if you stop to sniff them and admire their beauty close-up. They do a have a few port-a-johns around if you need a restroom. (Usually they have restrooms somewhat available at the main shelter house, but during the pandemic theyve been closed off.) The roses bloom from early spring into the fall, but they are at their most beautiful and height of presence right now, in June. Go, and enjoy!

Bask in the garden of roses..!!The park is beautiful, full of roses. The park is clean and well maintained. Nice place to hang out with your partner. There is a fragrance in the air. Of late due to rain, you may not see the full bloom yet. You may plan to visit by end of June/early July to enjoy the full bloom.Enjoy few pics from today’s visit.

So pretty and the scents were heavenly. I just wish there was an easier way for handicapped people to access the site. The entrance to the grounds, although not staired, is a fairly serve slope and pushing a wheelchair up it could be extremely difficult for unhealthy, aged, or weaker patrons. Likewise, coming down the slope could be perilous. Otherwise, BEAUTIFUL

This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. A couple years ago they didnt take very good care of it but now its as good as it was when I was younger. I take lots of photos there and there are many times when Ive seen weddings and photo shoots happening. Really gorgeous and more than just roses. Plenty of benches to just relax and enjoy the view. Great places for kids and dogs to come along.

This is our favorite park, lots of places to explore and Very dog friendly. Deer come by every so often. The ravine is great if you have dogs who want to get muddy & wet (no pics of that). Large fields, wetlands, creek, woods, walking/bike path, easy hiking paths, and the river. Lots of picnic tables, a couple covered, porta pots (most of them decent), good trees for hammock placement. Busier on weekends & after 5 on week days. There are tennis courts, a playground, and the manicured Park of Roses too.

I like this place. It could use a little shade to break up the hot, sunny walkways, but the roses are really amazing when they are in bloom. You cant go here without seeing the playground equipment, so keep that in mind if you have easily disappointed children. There are soccer nets, lacross nets and open fields, playground, fishing ponds, trails to run or walk. We need more places like this that are regulated. Im bringing my dogs next time but its kinda connected to neighborhoods which is awesome also there is plenty of parking didnt run into any problems at this park.
