Harvest Day Nov. 2 was a lot of fun. There were plenty of interpreters on hand and that made the visit so much fun. Since relocation, there have been some improvements; updated restrooms, handicap ramps, and more items are hands-on making it a lot of fun for all. Great outing for kids & adults alike. My husband & I had a good time.

Amazing. All of the craftspeople interacted with our kids and showed them how to use the tools. The rest of the people were great at explaining their periods and trades. Definitely worth it

Interesting little village of historic buildings from 1840s to 1860. I believe there are several more buildings to install so it will be great to see it develop.

Wow!I took my two boys a few weeks back. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted enthusiastically and warmly which was nice. There weren’t as many buildings as I remember, but the two very friendly and helpful young people working in the welcome center informed us they are only in Phase 1 of moving everything from Lumpkin. The churches were very well kept and nice to see they were being preserved. The interpreters were great, knew their stuff, and did an excellent job. The blacksmith exhibit and Indian interpreter were really cool. We didn’t buy anything there, but the gift shop was incredibly impressive and featured a lot of really cool regional books and items. My only complaint is the heat (which isn’t Westville’s fault obviously) and the explicit language used by one of the employees (the older one with the straw hat) in the welcome center. I have two small kids and he clearly didn’t notice or care. But overall, a great experience! We will return for the Harvest Fest in November when the weather is cooler!

Historic Westville is a place to return to over and over. Stepping back in time to a calmer and simpler life is just what I always need. This is a place to enjoy, experience, and grow.

Very disappointed. Went on special day for Christmas. Had to pay extra. Not a Christmas tree or anybody dressed up. I could have went to an antique store and seen the same thing. I feel like they shouldnt have opened if they didnt have more than that to show.

A great hands on experience for our kids. I know it is still in the growing process, but worth the time and money and we look forward to it continuing to grow and coming back in the future, hopefully for an event.

Firstly we are sad to report that Historic Westville is closed but happy to report that it will reopen at a new site in or near Columbus, Georgia. We have visited Historic Westville several times, each time was a very pleasant experience. It is most entertaining on their special occasions when the town is alive with all sorts of demonstrations and entertainment. Ive enjoyed some of the best Bluegrass performances in the little church just down the road from the entrance. We are very much looking forward to their reopening even though theyll be a bit further up the highway from us.

Overall I feel this is a good place to visit. It may depend on the time of year though. In the Fall there werent many demonstrations. I just toured the historic buildings on went on a mule wagon tour. Good place for the family to go.Can be a little boring depending on your interest in history.

Im biased as a participant in their yearly 2nd Creek War battle reenactment, but this is a very special place! They are kid friendly, as mentioned in another review, and have events throughout the year. The Creek War on Memorial day, 4th of July celebration, are highlights of their activities. This is an impressive collection of pre-1850 buildings arranged as a town if the early 1800s might have been laid out, complete with a surgeons office, school room, churches, and even an early 1800s Masonic lodge! Definitely worth a visit.
