Lots of things to do: dog park, fun playground bmx park, disc golf, hiking, geocaching. While my partner takes a nap, my daughter loves to give me a heart attack by making me run up and down the grassy hill (fair, I know), but Ill do anything to hear her laugh! Sitting comfortably at the top of the hill, overlooking the city towards the mountains after playing is so worth it. Very peaceful.

Each year the park gets a little bit better. This park has everything you need to have a great day with your furry family member. Benches to sit on, dog water spots with running water, plenty of open space, obstacles, and shade when needed. My Shepherd loves it. Remember to pick up after your dog and if you are new, dont just let your pet run free while you are on your phone. There are park rules for a reason.

It has a bmx track, basket ball court, dog park, playground and a disc golf course. The disc golf course is a long course and the 11-14 are on the other side of the park so it is a little confusing but a huge thank you to the people who go out and clean the course and help keep it maintained so it doesnt look like a wasteland. Over all I love this place mainly for the disc golf course. Havent been to the dog park but it seems like it has a lot of friendly people and pups. The main parking lot is decently sized and the back up lot has a lot of room as well!

Rampart Park is a well maintained park located near Rampart High School in the Briargate neighborhood. There is a variety of different areas here including a dog park, a Frisbee golf course, a baseball field, an open ball field, and a bmx track (I believe it is private property). One of the best aspects of the park is the unobstructed views of Pikes Peak and the northern part of the city. The area is always very clean and never very crowded so its a great place to relax and recreate.

Another great park in the Springs. Not much shade during the summer, it can get uncomfortable. A big grassy field to sit on and relax while your kids play. Bring a mat if you dont want bugs on your life.Kids need sun screen..parents do too.Theres also cement there for kids to ride bikes or scooters. Not sure if there was a bathroom...but 60% there probably was one.

Id say its an intermediate course. There is also a dog park there among other activities. Ive been to several different courses and this is definitely one of my favorites!

This park has it all! Playground, baseball field, dog park, disc golf, open space trails and sidewalk trail around the park, and of course a grassy open field with a great view of Pikes Peak.Fyi, the bmx bike track is now locked up and marked as private property. Our kids used to love playing there, but we didnt realize it was not part of Rampart park.

Great dog park! Sometimes there are aggressive and domineering dogs that ruin it for everyone because their owners dont care, but otherwise its a nice little dog park that usually has a lot of very friendly and playful dogs that just enjoy to play with everyone. People usually clean up after their dogs, which is really nice, but it would help a lot if they had baggies at the gate or something for those that dont bring anything. Overall this is a better dog park than others in the area, even though its small.

Review №51

This dog park is a nice size and is conveniently located. People seem to do a better job of cleaning up after their pets than they do at other dog parks. My main complaint is that half of it is covered in deep sand. Gravel would be a huge improvement. There are a few agility obstacles here, but some are in need of repair.

Great place to being your fur baby! Big enough to let them run around, but small enough to keep on eye on them wherever they are. Water fountain is only active in the warmer months, so from Fall to Spring bring a water bottle with you (water bowls are provided at the park). Ground is mostly sand which provides a soft landing for dogs that like to wrestle, but I have to give mine a bath or at least a towel-off almost every time we go. Theres a little obstacle course in the back and seating around the edge of the whole park. There is a sign on the front that says youre required to have your dog spayed or neutered to enter, but I cant say whether or not its followed by everyone. Regardless, its definitely worth checking out at least once!

Pros: 1- Large open areas for pups to run. 2- Trees for shade 3- Great mix of dog breeds/sizes. Cons: 1- sand/dirt park & No grass 2- It doesnt seem that many dog owners who frequent the park make it much of a point to clean up after their dogs. There was poop everywhere. 3- No seperate area for small/timid dogs

Nice wide open course to freely rip drives on. Keep a close eye on your throw because lots of bushes will have you searching for your disc fairly often (it does get windier here too). The only odd thing is that holes 11-14 are a but of a walk (quarter mile, maybe?) away from the rest of the course. Maybe in the future they can squeeze 18 in front and 9 in back (lots of room out there compared to Cottonwood).

Giving rampart park a 4 because I feel like there are nicer parks to go to in Colorado Springs, but there are also worse. Generally a pretty clean park, but watch out for dog poop because there is a dog park right there. With the dog park being right there, be on the lookout for off leash dogs. Some are well behaved and perfectly fine off leash, but I’ve also had a dog run up on myself and my two dogs while there. The trail is nice and I went during the day in the spring and not many people were on it. Good open views.

I only used the dog park. There are public restrooms if needed. The Rampart Dog Park is great for over cast days. Plenty of room for sports breeds to run. A few trees in the back for shade. This park even has obstacles for dogs to play on or run through. The best part was a fellow dog owner brought a RC car that could go 60+ mph. This had the dogs go crazy as they chased the car around the area the size of half of a football field.I recommend going as the dogs were very nice and open for dogs to have a little privacy if needed.Note: all dogs must be spayed or neutered. The perimeter is large enough for the dog owner to have a nice walk.

Beware..Google Felony Lane Gang. They smashed out windows on six cars and stole purses on a busy Sunday afternoon while dozens of people did nothing. They are using spotters to pinpont women leaving cars without purses and they have no fear of getting caught. Thay are targeting parks and trailheads. Police will not respond and take over the phone reports it is so common. Park is infested with stoned teens and no longer safe even on a busy day. Careful.

The frisbee golf here is terrific. For a novice (such as myself), the first ten holes or so are wonderful. Hard to lose a disc, rarely crowded, and easy to understand where the next hole--or pin, whatever--is. However, later on, its a bit treacherous if you wish to keep your discs and arent that great a shot. I recommend (for learning) that you enjoy the first 10-11 holes and go home with all your discs.

Extremely varied and gorgeous park. Large dog park space, with plenty of room to run. Nice sidewalk trails through Rampart for walking. Baseball diamond, basketball court, playground, and bmx course add to this parks awesome utility. Recently an 18 hole disc golf course that starts by the basketball courts was added. The course is beautiful and probably best for players with intermediate skills and up. A great place for pups or relaxing during the week.

I really enjoy this Park. I have taken my dogs as well as my cousins dogs to the dog park. I have walked all the trails, and I saw monument burn from this Park...The views are spectacular, the trails are decent. And for a pack next to a school it is second to very few. I highly suggest this Park to anyone in the area or that needs to stretch their legs and finds themselves near this quaint little Park! There is a nice BMX track in the park that is fun to ride, or watch others ride, as well!

A large dog park. Some pretty awesome dogs that come, but like every park theres some dogs that havent been socialized or are aggressive. Not much you can do but keep an eye on your dog and be prepared. Some dogs just have bad days! But my dog loves this park. Only downside there is no fresh water option. You have to bring your own water for the pups to drink! And there is a lot of sand, so be prepared for some Sandy shoes! But all in all, good park and dog owners are pretty friendly too

I like this park and enjoy taking my dog to the dog park here. The people are friendly and I havent had any major problems with other dogs. My dog is about 20 lbs and she does very well with the mostly bigger dogs in the park. On occasion, we will see really little dogs in the park too. The one downside is the park is very sandy. If its rained or snowed, there can be mud holes. And my dog and I often leave the park feeling quite filthy. Save the bath for after!
