A great outdoor walking area. There are 2 large unpaved parking lots. (The 2nd parking lot has the playground and bathrooms closer to the parking) It is largely a paved walking park but there are some unpaved. You are still able to see the effects from the fire a few years a go but others have been responsible and the earth is regrowing quickly.

Close by, easy to get to, and lots of little trails to walk on. Plus a few gazebos, picnic tables, a large grass field and a couple tennis courts. When the courts are open, we love to take our dogs and let them off leash to run around and play fetch in them!

I love this park for exercise and relaxation. I walk the trails that seem to never be crowded (Ill walk 3 to 4 miles and see maybe 10 people), relaxing views, and a few hills. Very peaceful. The park is well maintained and there is a pretty good sized area for family outings. I walk the trails 4-5 times a week when in C Springs...excluding winter .

We really enjoyed all the trail options. I dont recommend a stroller on the trails. The trails are easy enough for a toddler to walk. There are restrooms over by the park, tennis courts, covered picnic tables, and a playground.

This park was one of a kind. It was wooded with ponderosa pines. The trails are well groomed, which made it easy to walk. The only downside was that people refused follow the pet rules ( which were clearly posted). Every dog in the park was off leash. ( observed 4 people and 5 dogs) This was a little annoying because there were dogs running around in between trees. One dog stared down my two dogs. It almost attacked my dogs. Luckily, it was grabbed by its owner. Please take your dogs to a dog park or put a leash on them! This walk was not enjoyable like it could have been.

This is a beautiful park with beautiful views. Even after the fire, theyve done a wonderful job maintaining it. Theyve definitely cleaned up the burn area, and even though some of the scars are still visible, theyve done a great job with the restoration. It also looks like theyve done a great job in preventing future fire risks. The wildlife, plant life, and entire park are all beautiful.

I thought this was a pretty cool park. But that fire must have been really bad. Burnt and downed trees everywhere. The trails were really well maintained though, making for a very nice bike ride. I caught Old Ranch Rd to Milan Rd to get to Black Forest Regional Park. Then I caught Shoup Rd. back home. Folks, these roads are really not bike friendly at all. Please be careful. Actually just drive there, its not worth the risk. I was on the very rough shoulder the whole time, with cars and trucks pulling horse trailers doing 60. (With a foot and a half of space between my handlebars and those fast moving vehicles.) But, I dont blame them. I knew right away on Old Ranch Rd this wasnt a good idea. But, I just kept going. I wont do that again. And Im glad I got home safe. Peace.

I visited here today with my friend and my dog and it was a lovely day for a short hike. Ive been going to this park for years and its stayed very well maintained. I would suggest wearing sneakers for hiking because the small rocks can get into other shoes and be a little uncomfortable.

This is one of my favorite parks to bring my 3 and 6 year-old boys to. The equipment is nice and well shaded, and there are short hiking trails for us to explore. The bathrooms aren’t bad for park bathrooms (especially since I grew up going to parks with no bathrooms at all!) Bring a picnic and plan to stay for a couple of hours!

Very nice park, but maybe a little small. I would recommend going on a hike through the trails. It is actually pretty neat to walk through and watch the wildlife grow back after the fire that ran through that area a few years ago. Public restrooms, tennis courts, soccer field, basketball court, kids playground and trails. Would recommend checking it out if you havent before

We had a reserved pavilion for a large group gathering. The restrooms have air conditioning and are well worn so its difficult to tell what is dirty and what is just engrained. They have a large playground and a large mowed field for playing games. There also seems to be trails which I didnt get the chance to explore, but I saw many people go by with their dogs.

I liked it because I could see little glimmers of Hope and life in nature following such destruction. The hiking is easy, and the paths well defined and have numerous little offshoots, and I never like to walk back the same way I came! Mourn for what can happen and celebrate that time heals. Then drive around the affluent neighborhoods and be in awe at the size of the homes.
