This park is a wonderful place to visit. There is a walking trail that will provide a good walk with some interesting attractions. Theyre mainly workout and health related but interesting to see nonetheless. If that isnt your thing, there are plenty of places to relax and several good fishing spots as well. There are two docks with on extending a decent bit out into the water. Just watch your cast, plenty of spots to get caught as evidenced by the decorations in the trees. You can find catfish reliably here alongside the other species you generally find in small ponds. Overall a good place to visit. Especially in late November and December when they put the Christmas lights up. Could provide for a somewhat romantic atmosphere given the right person...
Beautiful park nestled in the heart of Bryan with amazing facilities and a little bit of everything for all ages. Fishing, sports, and specialized equipment makes this the ideal place for families to enjoy the great outdoors. Currently the new play ground area is closed due to social distancing, but we are very excited when all will be open again.
Beautiful Christmas light display. You just drive thru in your car or you can park and walk if you prefer.
After my brothers burial in a nearby cemetery the four sisters and spouses and a neohew and his family wanted a place to gather safely and visit before driving back to our homes. We were able to sit comfortably in the shade. We enjoed the sqirrel that visited us for grapes and popcorn as well as the ducks on the lake.
I almost had my wedding here. Its a very nice opem park and the grounds are very well kept.
Great park for family activities or walking the trails. Beautiful lights at Christmas.
Love to feed the ducks just wish people still knew how to pick up after themselves
Nice spot in the middle of College Station to enjoy a bit of nature, play, walk or fish. There is a fishing pond with a nice walk way around it with plenty of room to set up a chair, kick back and try you luck. The walking trail is a wide sidewalk that winds through the trees that is great for all ages.If youd like to play a little basketball they have a couple of courts. Children will enjoy the play ground. There are picnic tables, a pavilion, restrooms and green space to be enjoyed by the whole family. If youd like to relax and just enjoy being outside pick one of the park benches as your vantage point.
Love this park. I cant wait for the construction to be done so we can use the new section!!!
The City of College Station has done a tremendous job planting lots of Milkweed to insure a healthy, pesticide free migration station. The Monarchs LOVED it and many, many butterflies made their way to World Headquarters Stephen Beach park to lay their eggs. Upon hatching- the eggs became caterpillars and they ate and ate and ate. The caterpillars stripped the milkweed clean - ate their fill, plumped up and crawled over to the porch to begin the chrysalis formation. Well done College Station.
This is a great park to take the family. Despite the heat it was a pleasant place.ro.be outdoors
Lots of fun . I took my dog he went swimming.. There was a baseball tournament going on .. It was clean and nice..
Great set up . May be the shining star of parks in the state
Great for fishing and long walks. Playground/water works are being expanded and its more and more exciting to watch it develop.
Love the duck pond with bald cypress trees and hiking through the woods with a variety of trees!
Beautiful like it is every year!
Its currently under construction but still a nice place to visit. Lots of tress that help create shade.
This park in College Station is awesome. The goose and gaggle of ducks are fun to feed but the best thing are the squirrels. They will eat cheerios from your hand and if you dont have any kids around some will even allow you to pet them. They will scatter at the first sign of little kids. Lol its funny.
Very nice public park. Good fishing, lots of trees for your family gathering
Sad its still closed. Kids need to be outside and playing
Its a beautiful place to just have a walk or to even fishing with your kids
This place is VERY outdated. Many aspects of the park are currently under construction, so maybe Ill update my rating with a finished product.Has: basketball court, soccer fields that are usually by reservation only, picnic tables and grilles, volleyball sand court, playground, a 1 mile running loop around the park, fishing ponds, a pavilion for parties, and most recently a kids mini water park was builtCurrently, the nasty small bathrooms and the pavilion have been torn down for reconstruction, so that should be a big plus. Im giving this one star more than I want to only because it appears the city has FINALLY decided to put some money into this place to bring it into the 21st century.
Even with the abundance of rain and not being able to utilize the whole park to put up the lights like they usually do they did an amazing job with the lights this year! My little girl loved it alot! This is my familys all-time favorite place! Not only is this where I met my wife but we also got married here!
Great fields, clean facilities.
One of the better parks in the BCS area! The new childrens area is amazing. Shaded, brand new amenities, and a great splash pad. Worth the trip!
Under construction, overall still a great park with ponds, playgrounds, trails, and sports courts (basketball, sand volleyball)
Very neat and clean facilities.
It’s beautiful and very peaceful. The events are awesome.
Love the Christmas light display, however, the only reason Im not giving a 5 star rating is due to the lack of custodial awareness in the mens bathroom. Other than that definitely worth a visit, also, if u do happen to stumble upon this small treasure around Christmas the Snowflake Forrest is a must..
Really nice park. It covers a pretty large area. Includes soccer fields/football fields and baseball fields. There are also multiple ponds which have fishing available. Limit of 5 fish per person. There are two playgrounds. One more traditional by the basketball court. And they have a newer one that is made for all people. It also includes a series of water features you can play in. There is a nice walking/bike trail that is also lit for people who ride or jog at night. The park as a whole is well maintained and clean. Also if you have time around Christmas, all the lights and displays are a fun time for the family.
Its a quaint quiet park, great for a stroll with the family
Nice park to chill for lunch. Can be very busy though. Sometimes the ducks will come right up to you. Even the squirrels are friendly! The kids will enjoy that :)
The Christmas lights are spectacular. A fun Christmas tradition. The park also has a great playground and splash pad too.
We have had so many memorable moments at this park. The playground is awesome, the basketball courts are in great condition, there is a pond to fish in, neat bridges to cross and the magic of Christmas that happens every year. Our boys have played football there too.
Had the best birthday party here for my son
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I took the grandkids there to play and enjoy the outdoors. I love what the city of College Station is doing to improve the play areas for children.
We went to see the Christmas lights. They were beautiful. We had a great time making memories with our grandson.
Love to take my kids to see the ducks
Nice, clean park. Stocked ponds, can get catfish on worms, use a dipping bait. 4 trips out there, havent caught anything on lures. But, we have caught blue cat and channel cats on stink bait, gizzards, worms, rubber worms etc. We did catch and release but there are big fish there, seen them caught and big enough to make a meal! Have also seen big sun fish in the pond. Trout is stocked in the small cement pond, nice for kids and free. No cost to park or fish. But, license required for over 17.
Good place for a walk and to go fishing. The pond is stocked regularly during certain times of the year. You wont catch any award winners, but that isnt the point here. Its fun to catch and release! Theres also basketball courts, a playground, and make sure you visit during the holiday season and see Christmas at the Park! The lights are beautiful!
From a wheelchair user.. this place is beautiful during Christmas time! Everyone should go if given the chance, unless youre a wheelchair user because the ramps from the parking lot are cracked and inaccessible. This happened because they seemed poorly designed in the first place. Also, when they repaved the parking lot they didnt realign the ramp with the pavement leaving a lump of asphalt in front of the ramp. There were also some sidewalks with that have been curbed out with out accessible exits. There are also places that are impassable because of bridges that could be seen as aesthetically pleasing, but completely nonfunctional to wheelchair users. Come on City of College Station we need access for all.
Quite a nice park w/ many ways for everyone to enjoy themselves being active or relaxing
Nice park but the water is stinky
Nice fun place to go with the kids. Fishing isnt that bad either. The new playground and splash pad are great for the younger kids to play at amazing idea with having it gated in
Fun place for kids will be going alot
The Christmas lights were beautiful! Seems like a very nice park, only downfall was that it smelled like sewage in some parts.
Entire park is closed today. I wanted to go trout fish. Its 9 am on a Saturday. Gated off for an event. Online says its open.
This park was wonderful. Good for kids and parents. Wheelchair accessible. It has a splash pad and an array of fun and unusual features in addition to standard playsets. Spectacular for all ages and abilities.
Nice park to take kids for a while. Splash park attached too
They have otters in the pond! Nice playgrounds
It was great the 19th month old grandson loved it the weather was great. Thank everyone who helped put it on
Really pretty park for family!
The lights and displays are the main reason we go every yr. Watching the grandkids have fun and wanting g to actually pose for pics.
Beautiful Christmas lights display, I shared pictures and videos with my family and they loved it, and so did I.
This is a super nice park. They have a little fitness trail that Im pretty sure is designed for elderly people but my kids and I enjoyed it and took part in all of the activities. The pond is beautiful.
This park has awesome upgrades. Including a splas pad. Very nice. Plus you can fish in several stocked ponds. Love it!!
It is a fantastic place to rest your mind and blend in with the nature!
Very good place for the whole family. Theres a place for the kids, a basketball field, a tennis court or two, soccer field, baseball field and a trail. It has everything. On the same note, it is also home to a variety of animals, and some of them may be dangerous if you have very young kids wandering around by themselves. I have seen water snakes, big and small, biting bugs and a white fox. If you are careful, they can be fun. There are other activities here as well. They are also developing another section of this park, but it will take a few years till completion.Do keep you fishing license in you pocket if you are fishing here. Game wardens do come here occasionally. You can get fined thousands of dollars over violations.Do not recommend eating the fish from this park, unless, maybe, you are dying of hunger. Both ponds are filled with herbicides, trash and lead (from fishing gear). If you dont know what herbicides will do to your body. Look it up online.
Pretty good catfishing
Great place for the family
Very nice park! Although my son was drawn to the rose bushes planted in the kids area.
Very nice park
My kids like to see the ducks at the pond! They also have a noce playground and bball court.......The bathrooms were not the cleanest and smelled but useable!
Great christmas in the park decorations!!!
Great park, clean with a nice path.
Nice place for a picnic lunch.
My family loved it hopefully we can go next year again cmon
Really good place to have a good time with friends and family. You can bring your children and your pets as well...
We love the water park.
Great Xmas lights this year, as usual. Bring a flashlight, though--you dont need it to see, but there are places you want to cross a street and drivers can be watching the scenery.
Nice.
Very nice to relax with the family
The lights where great but no access for wheelchairs to walk and see the lights
The playground was closed.
Its a nice little park for everyone young and old.people can go fishing here thats a plus, public barbecue a lil play area for kids and ducks.hell yeah .my kid had fun and me too. Have fun guys
Clean family friendly park, even your fur babies.
The Phase I park is decent. Not too fond of the rocky drainage area between the splash pad and playground. Seems like this will cause some problems with injuries.
It looks beautiful during Christmas with all the lights.
Nice place to go and relax, fish, watch soft ball games, hey also gave a Water park for your kids...just a nice place to INJOY....
Worth visiting at Christmas time. The walking trail is lit up with several Christmas light displays. Its also, a nice little fishing spot all year long. You are pretty much guaranteed to catch a fish or two, probably even more. Perfect for kids to fish and not get bored. Plenty of shade, as well. There is also a small playground.
Nice clean park. Great Christmas calibration
We went central park to enjoy the Christmas lights at: Christmas in the Park. The evening was perfect. The night was cold but not to cold. Many people were out driving to enjoy the lights or they were walking to enjoy the lights. The ducks were enjoying being fed. A thermos of hot chocolate would have been great.
