This is a great COVID friendly outdoor activity for you and the kids or with the dog or even as a date. First off, its an easy to access place, with easy terrain, with public restrooms that are well maintained. Bonfire memorial is an incredibly important memorial to the Aggie Way Of Life so learning more about it is a great activity for your family or your date. There is a statue about the life of each student lost during the bonfire collapse. The time commitment to fully explore this is about 20-30 minutes, so easy in/out. There are big sloping grass hills for the kids to play on. From there you can easily walk onwards to other places around campus for food/drink.

One of the very best memorials Ive EVER seen. I was blown away by how intricate the design and detail was. They spared no expense in honoring. It is a must-see if you go to College Station, in Texas.

For a very heart-warming and spiritualy up-lifting experience, this place is absolutely an emotional mover. Every person, every student that visits Texas A&M University needs to take a moment to schedule their walk at the Bonfire Memorial and be amongst very friendly Spirits. Youll be glad that you were brave enough, gallant enough to pay your Respects. You truly will be happy that you did.

Very emotional and touching memorial to those who were lost in the bonfire tradition. We went at night and plan to go back in the daytime soon. The lighting is amazing.

We remembered reading about this tragedy when it happened. Seeing the memorial for the first time was deeply moving. Reading the stories of each of the victims, some in their own words

First off, this place is special to our family. We pay our respects whenever we have time on our visit to B/CS. We noticed this time the asphalt that was recently laid to make it more accessible had ripples, tire tracks, and indentions that makes it look subpar for a memorial center. To have this damage noticeable so soon after the renovation should not be acceptable.Another item that called our attention was the hue of the lights used to illuminate the area, ORANGE? Our previous visits have been during the day so to see the color of the lights threw us for a loop. There may be a reason for it but we were caught off guard.

Beautiful bonfire memorial of our fallen Aggies. Nice place to reflect. a few spots out by it and a good walk through gravel to get there. Don’t wear shoes that are open or not easily cleaned. Does have many Benches if you need to rest. Here.

This is a very historic place on Texas A&Ms campus. It has deep meaning behind not only the inscription on the wall before entering the actual memorial, but also in the inscriptions of the 12 people that passed away that day on the bonfire memorial. A very humbling place to visit and really get a feel for how deep A&Ms tradions run at this campus. I have graduated from this university and I still come back so that I can experience these spots and traditions all over again. This is a must visit site!

This is a solemn place and deserves the respect associated with it. Its pretty incredible the level of detail and symbolism that went into designing this memorial. Its even more impressive when you consider how quickly the university and community came together to make it happen.
