Clean and nice atmosphere. Park ranger patrols the path and very enjoyable to travel. Would recommend. Highly impressed with the grooming and cleanliness of the river walk.

Beautiful! This is right off of mile two of the Riverwalk. Its called the S Chickamauga Creek Greenway. I didnt know it existed until a month ago. 5 miles one way of extra sidewalk that is along the S Chickamauga Creek and which presents beautiful scenery and is still a well kept secret, as there are hardly any people on it. I just happened on it out of curiosity of where the split in the sidewalk went at Riverpoint on the riverwalk. It gives you 10 extra miles of bike riding in total serenity.

Nice trail. Started at the dam and rode the bikes down. I recommend the Amnicola Trailhead. Nice quiet trail thru a wooded area with a mix of paved and wooded pathways. Only encountered one cross street on Amnicola, so no real worries about traffic on your walk/ride.

This less than used park is a nice place for a walk and a picnic. There are some playgrounds, but they are spread out into three sections and each are kinda small. But they are cute and bug themed.

This is a gorgeous but extensive walking area. There are several places to stop for beautiful photos. It is well lit and offers a way to walk or jog all the way downtown.

I like to paddle board on this creek. The water is calm and safe even for beginners. I put in at a floating dock below the Riverwalk bridge.

Plenty of parking that is rare to find even crowded except for an event. Restrooms are available with drinking fountains. Picnic tables and covered areas are also available. This is the point where the Riverpark and the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway cross one another. If you go downstream on the creek to where it flows into the Tennessee River you will pass several small play areas for children along the way. Proceeding upstream on the creek you will cross the creek twice on really nice bridges and will be on hard paved/concrete surfaces as well as elevated wood decking. There are 3 points that you will go under rail bridges right about creek level. If you go up river on the river park you will end up at the Chickamauga Dam and downstream into downtown and nearly St Elmo on the new extension.
