I lived up here my whole life so we always rode four wheelers out there.I’ve literally been down every trail, and now everything there is to know. I love this view the s Shape view of the river is magnificent. If you like bluffs, scenery, and beautiful places for pictures you’ve came to the right place!

The Volunteer Adventurers tried to visit in April 2019 and it was hunting season so we couldnt visit. This year in November 2020 we were able to visit Snoopers Rock. What an amazing place to visit. Loved the drive back to the bluffs a great experience. Must go back.

As a photographer, I can say Snoopers Rock is truly a wedding dream! Its the perfect venue for an intimate elopement! Overlooking the Tennessee River Gorge, this spot is stunning! If you are searching for a venue out in nature that has serene views, Snoopers Rock is for you!

Definitely one of the coolest views in Tennessee. If you are in the Chattanooga area and you dont mind driving on a gravel road for 6 miles or so, go for it. Easy walk from the parking lot, or if you have a vehicle with clearance, you can almost drive right up to the overlook. Shoot, I saw a Honda Accord parked right by the overlook. For best light (for photos) go early or late. I was very impressed with the total lack of trash you normally find at a place like this. Help keep it that way!

Pretty view. Long winding road up. Plan on getting your car washed after because it’s a dirt road. Maybe plan a picnic to make the long haul up worth it.

We hiked from Cumberland Trail head. A number of interesting sites, cliffs and views along the way. Approximately 7 miles there and back, although there is parking about 300 feet away from Snoopers Rock if you dont want a longer hike.

Amazing view without having to commit to a long hike!

The road is gravel in the park and there is a parking area but to get to it its one lane and slightly narrow. So we parked on the road by the bathroom and walked. From the road it is .3 miles to snoopers rock for the beautiful look out. Easy trail.

Love Prentice Cooper. Well maintained and the wild life and nature is great. Going again today. The remoteness is a plus as well yet so close to Chattanooga. Being close to good swimming is another plus.

One of the best views in the area! A popular place to visit. You can hike to it from a parking area north of Snoopers Rock, or there is a parking area close by with a 10 minute walk.

Amazing views of the Tennessee river gorge. Quick short walk to the bluff.

Great final destination, and well maintained trail. Not much to see along the trail other than glimpses of the river thru the trees.

Visiting this secluded and beautiful area was the highlight of our stay in Chattanooga. Thank goodness our friend had his Jeep Rubicon to take us there. Some of the roads were quite rough! The view was spectacular.....especially from the top of some the trees we climbed!

I love these trails. Beautiful and secluded. Best nature spot in all of Chattanooga in my opinion. In the winter time you can see more because you can see through the trees

The overlook of the river is not to far from the parking lot. Great scenic view of the Tennessee river. Me and my buddy hiked the loop it was longer than we expected just take extra supply if go for the hike.

Awesome, free spot to visit while visiting Chattanooga. Open sun up to sun down. The road to the parking spot is gravel and dirt, any car can make it. No 4x4 needed. Once you are at the parking lot, it is a .3 mile hike (each way) that I would rate as easy/moderate to get to Snoopers Rock. The hike is through the woods and was a little muddy and buggy when we went in June. The view at Snoopers Rock is AMAZING. We stayed for an hour and took it in.

This is a Tennessee bucket list place to experience. When we passed people coming back along the trail they were all raving about the view. Photography cannot do this place justice.

Cuz we were like a hundred feet from here and lost. Don’t get mad, just persevere. It’s right near the parking space. L

This is one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen and its the dead of winter. I can’t wait to come back in the spring when everything is in bloom and in fall to see all the colors. The other instructions were correct, you can park at the first parking area labeled Snoopers Rock off of Game Preserve Rd, walk about 1/4 mile down the gravel road to the left of the parking area (or you can drive down the gravel road and park A LOT closer) Step over the log on the right of the second parking area onto the unmarked path and the bluff is literally 50 feet ahead. I don’t know how you could possibly get lost.

Gorgeous overlook of the TN River!

Lovely spot. The view is mind blowing. But it is dangerous to stand there with kids . It does not have any barrier. It is a must watch spot. The place is calm. Nature lovers should definitely visit this place

Beautiful view, check it out if in the area

There is a trail marker to the left of the parking lot labeled Snoopers Trail. Take the path down the gravel road about 1/4 mile and walk over the log to a unmarked path to the right. There were others riding ATVs around to visit the sites. Definitely tucked away and not a quick access scenic view. Breathtaking view!

One of the lesser known places in the Prentice cooper state park - Chattanooga, Tennessee. Snoopers rock is at a very short distance from the parking lot but if you take Mullens cove loop trail (trail head 3 miles down game reserve road on the right), you can grab a great vista of Tennessee river gorge at Mullens cove overlook.

You can drive right up to it, take a short hike from the main road, or a 3 miles home on the Cumberland Trail. The highlight of Prentice Cooper

Pristine views with very little difficulty getting to the actual location. The longest part is traveling down the access road.

Snoopers Rock Parking Area is a very short walk to the actual Snoopers Rock overlook which is spectacular. The parking area itself serves as a great starting location for a handful of the trails, campgrounds, and lookouts in the area.Be aware that the road out into the Preserve to the lot is dirt/gravel. Might wanna leave the low rider and low profile tires at home for this one. Regular cars will do fine.

Its a parking area. It excelled at doing its job of holding parked cars. Really tremendous work I applaud the parking lot for its efforts.

Great view for little work! If you drive all the way out on the gravel road you have a very short drive until you reach breathtaking views! Make sure to check their website because they are closed for hunting on certain weekends!

Awesome view and an beautiful atmosphere!

The view is worth the drive, however the local law enforcement are a little overboard. Our group didnt see the little sign that is about ankle level high stating that it is foot path only !!, and had the locals pull guns on us because we were on our bikes. We have traveled all over the southern US riding, and meant no disrespect to anyone by riding in a walking area only, and we did not need to be treated like criminals. We are all adults and not a bunch of young punks ripping around like idiots . So if you travel here keep your eyes open for those little signs that are 6 inches off the ground !!!
