Beautiful walking trails and overlook. Trails are great for inexperienced hikers. Well maintained. Only warning, wear good shoes. Some trails have sharp or very uneven rocks that would be a problem in light shoes like flip flops or similar. Has bike, walking, and animal trails.

Beautiful place to walk, walk your dog, ride bikes, anything active and outside. Your kids would enjoy it too it’s a small uphill walk but once you get passed the first hill it levels out throughout, it’s a short walk really considering it’s all through the woods but it’s just big circles.

Great place to trail run or bike ride. Not really for hiking. Theres a great view at the top to take food for a picnic. Watch out for fast runners and cycles when walking or running on the trails. Especially watch your dogs and kids and keep them by your side at all times.

This is a great trail in an urban setting. There is just enough elevation change to give you a good workout. There are trails for bikes and hikes. It is pet friendly and there is an awesome view of tbe city along the way. There are restrooms available.

Google maps took us a very strange way with little parking (on street) to the trail head. So the start was awkward but trails are clearly marked with a couple maps at start and the major crossings which is very helpful. Enjoyed going but needs better parking

Went for a run here, and I definitely would not go alone. Got seriously lost when coming from the trail head located near the Publix on North Market because it was not well-marked. It took me two hours to find my car again. I loved the overlook of the city, though, and would definitely go again with a group and park at the Red Bank trail head that actually has directions to it.

Several of the paths have a couple of entrances and exit points relying on how far youd like to journey. The place is quiet and tucked well into the north shore region. I got here, especially for the mountain motorcycle trails. The trails have been first-class however I like the ones on the lookout at five factors and moonshine greater. The ones simply appear to go with the flow higher for me. Stringers Rodger is really a pleasing spot although, trails included. Plus, they have the pump song. Do be vigilant with mountain bikers. There are symptoms up to optimistically prevent collisions, however now not all and sundry sees them or is familiar with them.

One our favorite places to hike in Chattanooga. Its an easy hike with several trail options. Maintained nicely and not overcrowded. Shhh.

Whether you are biking or hiking, Stringers Ridge is an excellent choice. The mountain bike trails are a well maintained, flowy, challenging ride that covers about 6 miles in a big loop. You can hike on an old paved road up to a great look out of Chattanooga, too. All of this is only minutes from downtown.

Great park thats a great lookout over the city. Very close to trendy downtown in a rapidly transitioning neighborhood of newer modern homes while dotted with smaller charming older homes. Its basically the Hollywood hills of Chattanooga. Dog friendly as so are the people.

I little jewel in the city for mountain biking. Just having moved from Florida, I got a taste of actually having to climb a hill and come down one. Nice views too. I will definitely be using this park often.

The area is pretty and tucked neatly into the North Shore area. I came specifically for the mountain bike trails. The trails were nice but I like the ones on lookout at 5 points and Moonshine more. Those just seem to flow better for me. Stringers Rodger is certainly a nice spot though, trails included. Plus, they have the pump track.

Great place for hiking and mountain biking. Trails are single track and shared with hikers and bikers. Check signs for path direction. Has a wonderful downtown overlook that is a short 10 minute hiked on main paved trail. Please note it is uneven paved. Gets extremely muddy after hard rains.5 minutes from downtown and north side suburbs. Did you work up an appetite? Visit another of Chattanoogas historic landmarks - Nikkis. Located at the beginning of the trailhead!

This is a great quick trail run for downtown residents! Its super close and only a 3.5 mile loop so its perfect for an after work run. The trail isnt too technical so its good for new trail runners. Also the bathrooms are clean and always stocked with toilet paper!

Great place close to North Shore of Chattanooga to get out in nature. Nicely built sustainable trails that are fun on foot or bike. Pedestrians and bikers travel in opposite directions on different days of the week to help with flow patterns.

Nice hiking and mountain biking trails. The view when you get to the overlook is amazing. My only complaint is the hiking map thats posted on the main trail is so worn out its hard to see exactly where you are and were you have to go.

Not many people know that there are hiking and biking trails right next to downtown Chatt. It’s about a mile from Coolidge park, and offers a pretty great overlook of the city. The trails are well maintained and regularly used. Parking is on the south side of the park, and they have bike tools at the trail head if you need to do any repairs.

We had such a great hike here. It wasn’t too busy, and even though it was warm outside there is plenty of shade to cool you down. The paths were easy to navigate, and we even saw a fox!!Do be vigilant with mountain bikers. There are signs up to hopefully prevent collisions, but not everyone sees them or understands them.

This is THE place for a quick getaway in the city. Stringers has an interesting network of interlacing trails that allow for a fun hike or ride whenever you go. The trail direction changes depending on what day it is which keeps your visit fresh. Ever changing landscapes impress with the seasons colors and friendly faces can be found any time.Need some solitude? Stringers is a perfect spot to get out and recharge in the heart of the city.

Very nice park on the north shore of Chattanooga. Very walkable with the longest trail coming up just short of 4 miles. Make sure to follow the directional signs, as the trails are mostly shared with mountain bikers. Also, the trail map isnt great and makes the distances look intimidating, but truly its straight forward and well marked hiking. Be sure to stop at the excellent overlook!

The trails arent very long, but there is some great single track here. Great maintenance and regular use keep the place rideable and runable year round.Best of all, the proximity to downtown is amazing. Work up a sweat over your lunch hour or before the day starts.600+ feet of elevation gain (and then lost again) in 4 miles.

I gave 3 stars because the trail can be wildly dangerous when wet. This is a highly trafficked, directional trail for both mountain bikers and hikers. When I run with headphones, I always keep one ear out to listen for oncoming bikers. One time, A biker almost collided with my boyfriend and his dog! The biker skidded off the narrow path and nearly tumbled down the hill. Nonetheless, I enjoy this convenient and challenging hiking spot. Some of the trails are closed due to fallen trees and have been this way for over a year now. It seems as though this spot is lacking in proper care. I do still visit this trail often because I live nearby. These trails are very shaded, which makes them great for summer runs.
