Bike and walking trail. Took a side trail that was pretty cool too, not paved/gravel. Part way in theres a cool bridge. Nice views. Would recommend. Limited parking, probably an issue if they have a season?

Smooth wide rails to trails, easy gradient, cool views, bike friendly. The trails drain water well so they are usable quickly after a rain. Lookout Mountain Conservancy does a great job maintaining this trail system!

This is a great, shaded trail. It branches off to so many other wonderful paths that you can have lots of adventures on these trails. It’s a perfect location for hiking, running, or biking. Because of the canopy of trees, this makes the perfect hike even on a hot summer day!

Convenient pull off and specified parking lot, a well-defined path, and a great bathroom break at Ruby falls when youre halfway finished with your journey. For those interested in a little exploring off the beaten path, there are several trailheads that lead downhill And a few spots on the main path to what looks to be abandoned ruins safely open for exploring and well kempt trails. A lot of trail runners, and mountain bikes passed by so it seems to be a pretty popular spot for locals.

Nice trail close-in with easy access & great parking with warning light for crossing Ochs Highway. Access Lookout Mountain Conservancys land, or keep going to the national park. Almost exactly 1 mile to Ruby Falls parking lot if you want a measured 2-mile walk.

It is a good hike, but there is no loop, so you will have to get back on the same trail. There a couple of side trails there as well, and if you are into bouldering, they are totally worth a hike. Parking is across the road from the trail head. The trail is not very challenging, but there is very little shade, so bring some water.

Great place to run, walk, bike, or get a decent hike in. There are sleveral options and splits you can take. Access too sunset rock, cravins house, point park, Jackson Spring, and the five points trail system via Covenant College trails. The grade is even and gravel/dirt/leaves with minimal roots rocks.

There a couple of aspect trails there as nicely, and in case you are into bouldering, they may be definitely well worth a hike. Parking is throughout the road from the trailhead. For those inquisitive about a touch exploring off the beaten direction, there are numerous trailheads that lead downhill and some spots on the main route to what seems to be abandoned ruins appropriately open for exploring and we will kempt trails. Excellent for a night walk or run. There are a pair connecting trails that provide get admission to a few brilliant rock climbing pads. The trench to the right and left of the doorway and go out are deep, and I recognize human beings who have had their motors get caught of they werent listening to the precise line.

Review №27

It doesnt really need a review, but the trail head has parking for no more than 20 cars, so it can be crowded. The ditch to the right and left of the entrance and exit are deep, and I know people who have had their cars get stuck of they werent paying attention to the exact line. Its a fine trail head, and an even better trail, its regularly maintained and is kinda the central artery for all trails on lookout.

Its a pretty trail. Very straight-forward, well-marked, and well-maintained, but definitely not my favorite. Ive never been out farther than 5-6 miles from the trailhead. (You can go much farther than that.) Great views of downtown Chattanooga in the first couple of miles. If you arent used to a fair amount of elevation gain (I usually gain around 600-700ft in 10-12 miles and am used to running with much less), it can be a bit challenging. Also, have heard some horror stories from friends that have run here and those who know Lookout Mountain better definitely advise against running alone on this trail. All that said, I often would choose elsewhere to run or hike, but I dont mind the Guild Trail if I go with a group of people.

Review №31

This trail was just okay to me. We hiked for about a mile on just a gravel road before getting to the ruby falls parking lot and hiking through that then another mile on gravel road before we got onto an actual wooded trail. The rest of the trail that we did about another half mile maybe to cravens house was nice and had some more strenuous up hill parts. The monuments at cravens house were neat and a nice view. Next time I would probably skip guild trail and start hiking from cravens house. The trail would be good for bike riders, runners, or casual walkers.

Honestly not the prettiest trail in the area, but the ease of access is really nice for a quick walk, ride, or run after work. Plus, it connects you to the HUGE network of trails on the mountain if you are looking for a longer hike, etc.The parking lot at the trailhead is not large, so bear that in mind when visiting on a nice day.

This trail is very accessible to the beginner hiker. Its pretty flat, but still has some nice views. You can access it from the parking lot on ochs hwy, at Ruby Falls, or I believe there is also a western trailhead.

This trail is well-maintained and is light to moderately trafficked. It is very level on a smooth incline all the way to Ruby Falls. It passes directly under the Inclined Railway. There are a few bridges with an opening to view the valley, but its mostly surrounded by vegetation and tall trees the whole way.

Double track gravel up a mountain. Not much of a grade. The whole thing is really mellow and not exciting. In one word I would describe it as nice...
