While my first instinct was that this zoo was a bit expensive for the size of it, but going through this very walkable zoo you can find pretty close observations of all the animals. Lots of interesting exhibits, and its also under expansion-so itll only get better. If you have little ones, take the zoo train as it takes you through at least have the zoo and you can find what is most interesting for your child.

During the time of Covid the crowd control was extremely refreshing and wound up being a nice experience for our family of 4 (8 and 3 year old). The restroom situation needs a little work and if in need of first aid, you might as well have your own kit. Otherwise was a really nice experience

A good place to take children to learn about some animals and have fun with them, but I think no more than twice a year because is a small zoo and no have many options to this kind of family. The structure is clean and well conserve, but some animals look sad, as the most zoos as I went.Animals... camels, giraffes, birds, snakes, monkeys among others. The ticket is affordable.

This place has grown so much in the last decades. It was a parking lot at first. Now it has one if the most diverse groups of animals happily playing in custom made environments where they are easily observed without being disturbed. Top it off with one of the most successful breeding programs in the country and a culture centered around honoring animals and bringing endangered species back from the brink. This is a great way to spend three or four hours loving nature with people you love. Its Chattanoogas hidden gem.

We drove from Tampa, Florida to visit this zoo. We love animals and the red pandas made this trip even better. Overall it looks like a small zoo but it houses so many different types of animals. The zoo was clean and walkways were easy to maneuver. We left our masks on the entire time and had no problems walking around. If we lived closer we would definitely buy a membership to this zoo.

This zoo has a lot to offer. Growing up here, Ive always had fond memories of visiting this place through field trips. I am glad to see that as I have gotten older, the park has not been run down, but rather has had some improvements. Tickets are very well priced and since Covid-19, attendance has rather been low. I have been twice in a month with family and friends and we have not had to worry about getting to close to others. Sometimes it felt as if we had the park to ourselves. The Chattanooga Zoo has a lot to offer and is a must see if passing through the Chattanooga area!

Nice to get out with the kids for some inexpensive fun. The animals looked healthy, and park was relatively clean. Restroom near goats area was odorous and in need of a good cleaning and maybe some freshening up with paint and a mirror for us shorter people. We loved petting the goats, and appreciate the park has a hand washing station right next to that area. We were thoroughly entertained by the cougars as they prowled around waiting for a peacock snack, but thankfully it didnt actually occur. They are magnificent creatures to witness so closely. The eateries werent open and the train wasnt running, but thats due to corona virus. We knew that going in after checking the website. The park was quiet and practically empty, which made viewing a lot more enjoyable for us!

I hadnt been to this zoo since I was a little kid so we took our two year old this past weekend and had so much fun. Its very well worth the price to get in as well. The zoo itself isnt really all that big but to be honest I saw more there than I did at some of the bigger Zoos, namely the Knoxville Zoo & also a plus that its a lot more affordable. Two paws up! Highly recommended if you are in the North Georgia / Chattanooga, Tennessee area.

The zoo is really nice, but a bit on the small side. What is there is really neat, though. It is a shame that the pandemic closed certain areas, but it was still a good visit. It was worth the trip for the red pandas, pea fowl, and jaguars. The pea fowl wander around freely, which was also neat.

The zoo itself has improved in the last 5 years. Their biggest addition is the giraffe exhibit. If you have been to other zoos, you will find this is a very small zoo. However, their prices reflect that. The zoo needs money to improve but that seems to be lacking. They do the best they can with the small enclosures and amount of space they are limited to. The exhibits are clean, and I have seen enrichment in the enclosures. I know this would be very expensive, but I would like to see this zoo relocated. The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo had a huge lot of land donated to them to relocate and kind of start fresh. I would like to see this happen for this tiny zoo. The animals need more space, and the zoo needs more money. While the giraffe exhibit was very clean and new, it seemed a bit small and the outdoor section was lacking in any enrichment. There was nothing for the giraffes to do except participate in the hand feeding station. I think overall the zoo is doing a good job with what they have, but there is certainly a lot of room for improvement.

I had a great time at this zoo, but that was only because of the company I kept. I feel sad for the animals. Most seemed lethargic and depressed. This was probably due to the small enclosures where they spend their lives with no room to live. An attempt to make the enclosures somewhat similar to their natural habitat was never made. I imagine this is what prison is like. Also, the smell throughout the whole zoo made it pretty clear that the cleanliness wasn’t up to par. The water in some enclosures didn’t seem like it was changed or taken care of in some time. A friend told me when she visited this zoo, the workers were bragging how this was one of the cheapest zoos in America. It shows.I hope these animals receive better care. They deserve better.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to go to the zoo while I waited a couple of hours for another place to open. The animals and their enclosures look great, and I had an amazing time. The on-grounds themed restaurant- Wild Burger - is expensive ( I paid $16 for a burger, some fries, and a keepsake plastic cup) but the food is good.
