Short walk to some really nice views - big rocky creek and waterfalls. A little difficult to know where parking is unless you have been there before. Google maps is accurate in guiding you in if necessary. Definitely worth stopping by even if you only have a limited amount of time to spend.

Definitely worth the walk to see!! Several beautiful waterfalls here! Its hard to spot the trai from the road. We only found it because we saw other cars parked there. Theres very few parking spots, so we had to drive up and down the road a couple of times before a spot became available. It was easy to pull into a spot, but leaving was difficult because its hard to see other vehicles until youre in the street. The walk can be strenuous at times, but its not straight up one way and down the other. It has its ups and downs and some flat surfaces. By the time you are tired of walking up, its time to walk down a bit. Theres some uneven rocks and surfaces. Anyone with trouble walking or balance issues should think twice about making the hike. Id be nervous and cautious about taking small children. Im posting pictures to show different walkways and surfaces. Be sure to wear shoes with a good grip! Leave your high heels at home! If it rained very recently, itll be muddy and slippery. Bring bug spray! It was terrible, but I still wish I brought mine! Enjoy!! Well definitely be back!!!

Absolutely beautiful! A fun little trail to walk, with beautiful views and amazing little waterfalls and stone work! There are a few trails off the main trail so this I I place you can always find something new to do on. Their are awesome rocks to climb and see the valley and beautiful pictures waiting to be taken! Im sure kids as well as dogs would love this trail just as much as any adults! Its a beautiful old Stone trail where you can see where they built it long ago!

The falls are seasonal, so pick a time to visit when the water level is up. I hike the National Park trails a lot. This 1/2 mile trail connects with Guild Trail and if one knows the area, Whiteside Trial intersects Guild and Ochs Highway. Please be careful on this trail. Theres a trip and fall hazard from the narrowed trail, sheer cliffs, and wet rocks.

Wasnt any water flowing but still enjoyed the view. Be prepared with good shoes for a steep climb down and back up. Also dont look for parking, you have to pull off the side of the road in the small space on either side of the road and there are no signs. Once you enter the woods there are clear foot paths.

Tired of Rock City or Ruby falls? Tired of spending money? Well let me tell you about Glen Falls. If you have been there then you dont need to read this. You already know. If it is unknown to you. Listen up! GO! you will love it. 1st let me say, it is a bit of a hike. My estimates put it at about 600 yardsof trail. It is mostly a downhill slope and safe although there are some smaller rocks you wanna be mindful of. As you get near, you will hear water. Keep going on the path and you will come to the falls. While not crazy impressive...keep going up. It is slightly challenging, so physically challenged or older not very in shape people may not like this trek. You must use caution. While it is generally safe, you want to be mindful of drop-offs. And a rocky path which may have loose gravel. Younger kids should be monitored closely. Just be safe and it will be worth it. Continue up the path and you will come to a short wooden bridge. If you are adventurous, take off your shoes and socks and get in. The water will feel great. Very shallow when you step in. It does get deeper as u move further back towards the waterfall though.bring a small towel to dry off. Once you put shoes back on, Continue over bridge and you will round a corner to some rock steps. Go ahead...go up. At the top, you may say it has its own version of Fat Man Squeeze. Make your way thru. You are now overlooking the short wood bridge. This is another spot to be mindful of the drop off but be careful and keep going up the path. Here you will come to larger and I mean large! flatter boulders easily walkable on. You can walk up a few hundred yards and see the shallow water flowing down these huge boulders. You cant go much further as the road is way up the bank and I wouldnt risk trying to get there. Basically make your way back down and back to the trailhead. Directions as best as i can give:take Ochs Rd off St Elmos Ave.(1st traffic light approx 500 ft south of the incline Railway).Drive up Ochs Rd just under 1 1/2 miles. There is a pull off (on left) approx 350 yards past Sanders Rd. Park and you will see a path down a small hill. There is an info sign with some rules and the hazards. You can only go 1 way, to the right. I gave the walking distance at the beginning of my review. I hope this helps you should you go. I added pics. Good luck. Always be safe.

This was recommended to me as a place that was good for babies to swim in. We just went with 6 kids under 5 years old and several adults and it was great! The pool at the bridge is shallow (a few inches deep) for babies and small children but it gets closer to 5 feet deep back in the corner where the adults could get all the way in the water. It was also very shaded between 1 and 2pm in the middle of July.

Great short hike! I hike this trail with my 3 year old and 1 year old. They love playing in the water at the falls. We have seen snakes here in the water so just keep an eye out! I think they are common watersnakes but I am by no means an expert.

You need to go over the bridge, up the rock stairs, through the little rock cave, and follow the path a little longer and youll get to some very very pretty areas.

This is a nice enjoyable hike no matter the season. Since it has been a little dry there was not much water flowing so we were able to hike up the creek bed. This is a really easy hike and there are some beautiful rock formations to see and enjoy!

Wonderful short hike right off the main road. Get there early in the morning on the weekends (before 9 am) to avoid trail traffic and to find a parking spot. The falls are nice but not anything spectacular. However the short hike is what will make the overall experience pleasant for most people.

Glen falls is pretty great. It is off the beaten path but there is a nice trail to get back there. If I remember it is about a mile hike. There is a pretty nice elevation profile in and out. In the hike in there is a great rock wall to one side and the canyon to the other side. The forest is beautiful. Worth the hike.

Not a bad hike, and the little tunnel to get to the top of the fall was cool. But it would be much better if there had been more rain recently; at the bottom of the fall it wasnt much more than a trickle now (July 5, 2019). We also had trouble spotting the trail head. The tiny Glen Falls sign was hidden by a car at the parking area, which was just a small pull-off from the highway.

It’s a half mile to the first set of falls, then you have to go off trail and down the rocks to get to them. If you stay on the trail and keep going, you’ll come to a bridge and small pool. Keep going. When the trail splits, keep right and go up the stairs and through the rocks to find these falls. It is not deep at all and great for kids and is about a mile in.

Review №33

Glen Falls is a great quick hike with kids. Find the stairs to your right about 3/4 of a mile in and go through the cave. Thats how you get to the falls and water. Even in June when the water was very low and the fall was dried up, we still had a blast! Not too difficult, just watch for a couple places where the path is narrow and its a pretty sharp drop off on one side. Get there early bc the parking for the trail is about 10 cars long and just a gravel curb right off the road.
