The moving thing wasnt working but just a good escape when you dont know what to do . Took few clips with my little one and she enjoyed watching the water flow at the bottom. Hope we will be able to see it actually moving sometimes.

Its pretty cool. Its the only thing there so youre not going to visit this and see other things. Its in a business park do it isnt like going to see the bean in Chicago. I went lady at night as you can see. The figure moves and changes shape. I cant imagine anything being better than seeing it at night.

Went while it wasnt working but it was still amazing. It is outside. Its the only thing there is to see so you can take your time enjoying this piece of art.

The experience was absolutely fantastic. They hosted a 5K race. It is called . Let me run. It focuses on young people. To have morals and respect for themselves. And others.it was amazing and this is such a great cause. And we would like to take this opportunity to show how much they have helped out the community. There was 10000. People there. Big event. Thank you Metalmorphosis.

Truly a gorgeous and thought-provoking sculpture, unique in the fact that it changes with your changing perspective; perhaps a commentary on how having a different perspective can change how something appears...

Great sculpture but the moving parts that make it so cool were not working it only rotated.

Very cool. Saw the other one in Prague which has more moving parts but this is pretty awesome to see her in Charlotte. The water fountain is really pretty and clean. There is a great Vietnamese restaurant a block away.

What an amazing thing to see! Definitely worth the detour and bring the kids! It is captivating to watch.

Even though the exhibit was down for maintenance...the marvel that is Metalmorphosis was nothing short of amazing

When I came to enjoy this sculpture it appeared to be 100% dismantled. And there was nothing on their website. 2.5 hour drive one way just to see a steel column.

This was so interesting to us - it is a huge art installation in the middle of an industrial park! We enjoyed seeing the pieces spin around to form a human head....The head is based on a beautiful fountain and as the pieces spin - the water flows over the different sides of the fountain. It is really fun to watch and enjoy.

Wonderful.Yes it works. The sections rotate to various positions. If it is not doing something exciting during your visit it is just the programmed pattern of change. Stick around, come back later or view on the webcam and you will see it doing something different.Sometimes it is fast and exciting. Other times the moves are slow and minor even repetitious. It is just the luck of the draw for what you might see during your visit. Try again. I have seen a good bit of variation from visit to visit. I have never seen it spew water out its mouth. Seen video of it but not so sure that party still functions. May just be my luck that I havent seen it.

This is a piece of art. Interesting and intriguing yet simple and direct. Basically its a stylized metal human head in a fountain, sliced horizontally, like a CAT scans, that spin at different speeds distorting the volume - and then spinning back into the familiar silhouette, while sending spiraling waves across the fountain surface - totally awesome and worth seeing!

Seems they are repairing the head.. No sign of the head.

One of those secret places where you should go and see by yourself.Modern sculpture that will impress many, just be patient and wait until it moves. Sun position may have an impact also. Go and enjoy.

Beautiful, well-groomed landscaping and general upkeep in a highly professional business park.Only wish that the sculpture turned at every section instead of in segmented groups.Also, the whole alignment and movements are somewhat stagnant, static, and predictable.I still got some wonderful photo opps and enjoyed the placid solitude with my other half on a weekend afternoon.

It looks so nice at night as well! Though it was not rotating, it still looks really decent metallic face! Great for a quick stop-by. @Dec27,2017

Really pretty cool for what it is. Dont expect to spend a lot of time here but if you are in the area get there to at least see it. we went on a weekend and there was no traffic or crowds to speak of (it was cold so that may have contributed). Yes you really do need to turn into the corporate parking lot like your GPS is telling you. I would guess it would not be the easiest place to park at during the work week.Sleek and modern the statue/sculpture is interesting and kept our attention for 5 or 10 minutes.

9/6/19 - The sculpture is not there!!!! Drove an hour round trip to see it and it was gone. They should really update their website to let everyone know that it’s not there and list it as closed. Currently listed as open 24/7.

I never expected to be reviewing a sculpture on Google maps! This thing is so cool, I could sit and watch it for hours. Its very eerie when it turns its gaze upon you, almost like youre looking at a sentient being or machine. The pool of water which surrounds it is also fun to see, with how it slowly cacades over the edge of the container with each rotation of the head. If I worked near here, Id spend every lunch under the watchful eyes of Metalmorphosis.

It wasnt there. They took it down. Nothing we looked up about it stated it was down or being worked on. Nothing but yet when we got there it was dismantled. Just a big whole where it was supposed to be.

The art piece is currently in Prague. It will be returned to Charlottes location around December 2019.I was disappointed to learn the piece isnt there because it has been on my bucket list for 3yrs.Maybe next time.

We like this sculpture. There is a coffee shop a few minutes away. It in with several business buildings.

Visited here before move back to Kentucky. Listed as one of Charlottes unique artworks and I believe recognized nationally as well.

Rather cool sculpture. One section of it wasnt moving, and the mouth fountain wasnt functioning, today, but still neat to watch and take your mind off things for a while. Heard its cool to see at night.

Though I felt that this place had much potential, I was unpleasantly surprised as it was left in a near trash heap like state. The bricks surrounding the art piece were broken and in need of repair. The head itself was covered in bird feces, grime, and other residues that made it look like something found in a West Virginian bathroom. Which, by the way, is very intriguing considering it was located in the center of a water fountain. If they actually take the time to clean this thing up I believe it can be a real marvel, but until then I wouldn’t recommend going.

So disappointed. Why is it spinner in circles now and the slices are not spinning? If it doesnt work properly, fix it!

An amazing monument to the engineering. It is something that you need to know, I was very surprised of it and it has a perfect balance in all its movements.

As of the end of August 2019 the statue has been down, again, for the past month under repair. A beautiful and awe inspiring moving sculpture that is curiously located in a random corporate park. This has the potential to become iconic for the city of Charlotte as more people are brought aware of its existence.

Very interesting piece of art. If you are in Charlotte, NC do yourself a favor and go visit.

It is a unique attraction located in an office park. The location is located close to the highway. I dont remember how far it is located from the interstate access.

This is an extremely amazing piece of art. The water around it brings a sense of peace. I could have been there all day.

This structure is simply amazing!!!!. It would make a great outdoor location event but unfortunately management will not allow outside event planners, Hopefully that would change because it would bring more business to the companies !

Absolutely worth going and seeing

It is a pretty cool statue in the middle of an office park and is out of the way from everything else to see in the city.

OK. So the first thing to know: it is in a corporate park, meaning this is a sculpture in front of an office building. The second thing to know: it moves. I did not know either of these things prior to heading to Metalmorphosis. I was pleasantly surprised that the sculpture was pretty cool to look at, definitely a fun photo opportunity, and the parking is obviously easy on the weekends. But I only realized its kinetic features in the rearview as we drove away. So hang around a bit to make sure you see that. It would have been nice if there were a little placard explaining this or other information about the artwork/artist. But for the value (free) especially if you are already on that side of town, probably worth it to those who enjoy sculpture or other art spectacles.

I have visited here a few times.Sometimes it has a 15 minute interval, others it transforms on 20-40 second basis. It is unclear what dictates the cycle.

This is worth stopping to see!

This thing is broken more than working. I have come several times only to be disappointed by its inoperable status. Kind of lousy attraction to have if it’s always broken.

Was not rotating when we visited in evening. Can stop by for 10 mins to admire and move on.

Drove 30 minutes to see this, and the face was deconstructed. I bet it looks nice when its actually working.
