This is a great dog park with a nice amount of trees for shade, benches and patio areas to relax, and water fountains for the dogs to drink out of. The 2 acres is split among a small dog section (around .5 acres) and a large dog section (around 1.5 acres). Our dog loves it here! The only small complaint is that during busy times, the parking lot can be full, but there is other parking within the Southern Community Park that is a short walk away.

Amazing dog park! Really well kept up and has a sense of community. I cant tell you how many times I run into somebody I know or meet really nice people. Everyone is happy around dogs. I use the dog park to socialize my rescue dogs.

Great place for dogs with so much energy that needs to be drained. Especially if you dont have a lot of time during the day. Have two areas one for under 25 and one for over. Has a trail you can walk around also just make sure the least is at least 6in.

My favorite dog park in the Triangle. One drawback. Soccer parents will take all the reserved dog park spaces on Saturdays. Its infuriating. The city has little interest in addressing the problem. The soccer folks have a huge parking lot of their own. I wish they would use it.

Really nice dog park. Theres a small dog area for dogs under 25lb. Its well-drained, and theres lots of mulch, so it doesnt get too muddy when it rains. Very popular- always lots of dogs to play with.

Best dog park in the area. nice benches, a covered seating area, big mulched area with trees and a trail. they also usually have many buckets filled with water from a fountain system. try to show up around 5:30 for the biggest crowd.

Great space. Well maintained. Free poo bags. Water fountain for the dogs. Only drawback is the soccer people who park in spaces clearly marked for dog park users only. They need a parking enforcement officer there on weekend mornings to issue some tickets to abusers. Thatll end that. The soccer fields have tons of dedicated spaces for them but lazy soccer moms and dads want to save a few steps. Frankly most of the abusers could use a lot more exercise, if you get my drift.

The absolute best place to take your dog around Chapel Hill area. Large and small dogs have areas fenced off to make it great for any size dog to enjoy. Great park for kids and walking trails, soccer fields/basketball courts are nearby as well. The park is near Southern Village in Chapel Hill. A great small community shopping area surrounded by a neighborhood. One of the best areas in Chapel Hill. Friendly people and a great atmosphere make this a fun place for people of all ages!

This is a terrific park for the dogs. There are two sides; one for larger dogs, one for smaller dogs. Each side has a separate entrance with two gates. So, you enter in to small holding area, ensure the outer gate is closed, unleash your dog, and then enter into the larger play area. There are always other dogs to play with, and the other dog owners have always been friendly. Everyone is there to help their dogs get some fun activity and good socialization. On the rare occasion one of the dogs is aggressive, folks tend to help out.The terrain is varied. There are benches and even a sheltered picnic table. There are trash cans and dispensers for little baggies. There is a water station and bowls. This is really a tremendous park for the dogs. If you live nearby and have dogs, you should definitely check it out.

This is a good dog park. It has sections for small and large dogs. Id give it a 5 if there was an outhouse. Lots of room for dogs to enjoy themselves, and they do!

Its divided into a small dog and every other dog fenced in area. LOTS of space to run. People always leave toys there. A lot of water bowls and a hose to fill them. Definitely worth going to if you want to socialize and tire out your dog.

We love this park! It has so much room for our pup to run his heart out. Plus, owners are great about watching and picking up after their dogs. There is a water station, but it is turned off during the winter so bring some water for your dog.Just a reminder too: if your dog is less than 6 months old or has shown any signs of aggression (or you’ve never socialized them and aren’t sure), please don’t bring them - it makes a fun park very dangerous. Also, a few tips: stand against the fence if you don’t want dogs running near you, don’t have a leash or water bottle dangling from your hands or around your neck if you’re afraid of being jumped on, and don’t let your kids run in the park!

I cannot say enough about this park to actually do it justice. The dog park is huge, and people generally pay attention to their dogs while they are in the park. There are amazing walking trails - one of them is even a fitness trail with workout equipment along the trail; along with a really cool disc golf course. There are huge soccer fields, a playground, and very clean restrooms. Could not recommend this park more.

Dog park is best in triangle. a few things to keep in mind. small children on the large animal side need to stay close to you. they will get bowled over by runninh dogs.regulars have purchased wadeing pools for the dogs, please keep in mind they are for the dogs and get broken when children flip them then jump on them crushing them. we try and keep pools and water buckets full dogs do use them extensively to cool off.park is 2 to 5 acres so allot of running room. weekends tend to be over crowded and this is when 99% dog fights occur

Best dog park in the Carborro/Chapel Hill area, in my opinion. The big dog side is huge nd has a flat mulched area and the back end has trees and a little path. There is running water and pools (donated by other patrons). There are balls and frisbees around for anyone to play with. Owners are typically mindful of their dogs, which is really great! Its super busy in the evenings, so if youre wanting less excitement come during the day. Even during the hotest parts there is usually one or two dogs around. See you there!
