The new section is wonderful. Very serene in the morning on weekends, and quiet week day mornings. can hear the birds and water gurgling. The bridge that you walk under, has beautiful artwork - blocks one would see in quilts.

Nice place to hike in the town. It can be a little harder to social distance since pathway isnt wide enough but a good trail indeed in the town.

Great place to take the pooches, with trails running all throughout the woods off of the main path. Plenty of dogs and deer, and they’re extending the trail under the MLK overpass/bridge soon. Feels very safe at all hours of the day, with plenty of visibility and other people. Pro tip: you can walk up a trail to Caffe Driade (with a bike rack at the bottom).

Love the Bolin Creek Trail. I moved to Chapel Hill about 3 years ago and found the trail shortly thereafter. I walk it 2-3 times a week, every week. Its quiet and beautiful. Love it when its recently rained and the creek is flowing well. Just enough people to not feel lonely but never feel crowded.

Nice place to ride bikes or walk with kids. Since there arent many miles here, you normally dont have the club riders whizzing by at 25+ mph.

One star because there isn’t any parking here. At this location there is only an entrance to the trail. There is no parking lot.Tip: enter at the Umstead park/ Bolin Creek Phase lll area. There is plenty of parking there and an entrance to the trail.

What a wonderful asset for the community! This paved trail extends from the Chapel Hill Community Center all the way to MLK - and is now being extended under MLK all the way to Umstead Park! Wonderful walking, running, biking, skating, whatevering under shady tree canopy.
