Beautiful park that is very well maintained. Lots of open space and trails to explore. Ample parking with handicap parking available as well. Great place to spend a summer day!

Very nice soccer field and restroom facilities

Cute park!! Swings, tunnels, climbing, slides... About 75% shade at 10am in mid-June!! Excellent way to entertain children before or after swim lessons! Nice shaded walk from Aquatic parking lot, passed dog park and over a little bridge/stream. Mulch and rubber play surfaces. Grill and picnic table adjacent. No fence. Trash can available. Very colorful, as you can see from the photos! Not many bugs, but bug repellent is always a good idea in the woods...

Good flow, the big ramps are fun to cruise around on. All the features are fun.

Fields are always wet. Think the cork is not a good idea, especially if its cold out

The turf is probably the best in Chapel Hill. However, town of Chapel Hill has turned this field into a commercial entity, most time slots are rented out. So, we rarely can use it.

Soccer, swimming, baseball, toys, skate park, dog park - this is one of the best parks in the area. Something for everyone. Pool is very reasonably priced even for nonresidents.

This park is amazing!! It has basketball courts, baseball fields, dog park, kids play ground with a even smaller area for toddlers. There are swings and picnic tables and benches all around the playground so that way parents can sit and watch the kids. Also there is bathrooms located right by the playground so thats really convenient.

Soccer fields in great condition. Large skatepark with plenty of obstacles. Incredible aquatic center and awesome dog park. Sadly the basketball courts arent great, but theyre there. The baseball fields look in good condition.

Field names/numbers are poorly marked and signage to those fields is nonexistent. Spent way too much time wandering around trying to find the field my kid was supposed to be playing on. Turf fields were nice, though.

Took a little while to find the playground. But area is beautiful.

Love this pool. Fell in Love with Iris, my sons swim instructor. Blue Dolphin swim lessons are here and we love it!

This is a great park! The are baseball fields, soccer fields, aquatic center, skate park, picnic area and shelter. They have plenty of parking, restrooms, and water access. Basketball courts, 2 play areas, batting cages. The list goes on. I held my sons birthday party at this park once year and it was a hit. Now their league plays soccer out there. There are 6 fields that they play soccer on. When I feel like blowing off steam I go to the cages and hit a couple balls. We love this park.

It is a beautiful park but I think It needs some more labels and directions.

My daughters are taking swimming lessons there, the instructors are gentle and very patient.

Nice park tucked away off homestead road with shaded areas to walk or picnic (available grilling stations as well) and decent play area for children with with equipment in ok shape still, multiple fields courts to play on and a dog area as well.

My sons had a soccer game here on their new artificial turf fields. They did an excellent job with the fields. Only complaint is that they should have put in at least one porta potty near those fields.

Great place to swim. Very rarely have to share a lane.Only comment would be that you need to bring your own body wash/soap since they typically allow the dispensers to run out.Clean, cool water.

We went to a circus from Loiusiana that was on one of the baseball fields. If you ever hear about it in town, I would suggest grabbing some neighborhood kids, and take them to enjoy an amazing show.

Great playground with two slides and four swings. There are also soccer fields and two baseball fields. Theres an aquatics center with two pools, an outdoor basketball court and a dog park. Overall a very nice community park. Leslie Knope must be in charge.

This is a nice park I take my dog there for a dog obedience class. There is a small dog park. There is a small playground. Theres an aquatic center with pools. Theres a skateboard area. Theres plenty of parking and bathrooms in the Aquatic Center

Nice place with many things to do people and dogs

The dog park is a major disappointment. It is tiny and the worse thing there are no dogs. So, whats the point of having a dog park that is not attractive to dog owners. It doesnt have to be this way, however. This could be a terrific dog park if the vision and commitment were there. There is all that wooded area behind the dog park that could be partially cleared of the small trees and overgrowth. The large trees could be left standing. Clear that area to make the park 4 to 5 acres and extend the fence to enclose the area. It would be a terrific park which would draw dozens of dogs and their owners. I have seen it done in Worthington, Ohio, where I recently moved from. The park there was originally an overgrown tract which was cleared and made into a 1 acre small dog park and a 4 acre large dog park. It is a very popular park. Homestead Park has the same topographical features which only need to be developed.

I go to the skatepark, its nice but whom ever is responsible for taking care of it and making sure everything isnt falling apart needs to do a better job. The small fun box is falling apart, the bigger box has screws that raised and chipping parts off my skateboard, and some of the wood is warped and cracked. It needs work.

Nice park for birthday parties

Very nice place, chalk drawings on the walkways, nice paths with wildlife and vegetation. There were areas for various sports activitys, and everyone seemed very friendly. Over all good feel, and a great vibe.

Visited the pool and found it to be in excellent condition. Not crowded and reasonably priced (locals are priced even cheaper)

Like many of the parks in this area, its nestled in a forest with a decent mix of sun and shade. Playground equipment is fairly new and nice. Great, safe place to kill some time with younger children.

Nice fields!

We love homestead park and take our dogs here. The other dog owners are friendly and responsible...its rare that weve had a bad interaction. Only complaint is that they turned the water off during the winter (2016-2017) for the first time Ive seen. Not sure why but anyways, this is a great park overall and Ive been going here since I was a kid.

Theres a dog park, a basketball court, a kiddy playground, lovely walking trails and tbats just what Ive explored so far. Addendum: I just discovered theres an Aquapark (pool). I havent used it yet so I cannot comment on size, cleanliness or how crowded it is yet.
