Great workout. Map and signs were easy to follow, with a beautiful view when the purple and red collide (the falls/heavy stream). Longest path is the purple. Parking is free and there are several entrances to the park.

Great location and beautiful setting. The park has fantastic amenities. The soccer fields outstanding, wish well maintained nets and floodlit fields. The baseball fields and nicely situated and and also well maintained. Very cool park for kids with plenty to do. Nice paved walking trails, and tons of available parking even during soccer tournaments. Nice sheltered picnic table areas and clean restrooms. Great spot!

A very nice park - tennis courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, playground and trails. We took the longest trail (about 40 min) that was a loop. Not difficult, a little rocky and rooted but manageable. Well traveled and well marked. To start on the longest trail (purple/yellow) - from the trail board near the picnic tables- stand at the trail board, the path can not be seen, but is straight ahead and to the right. It runs along the baseball field and starts out paved, then a narrow entrance begins the purple/yellow trail.

It is a nice location however it could be better if the trails were widened and and cleared. It was a little confusing to find my way.

By far my favorite park to take my dogs for walks. Theres a nice playground and amazing walking trails. The trail is not paved and can be a bit steep so it may be difficult for those with mobility issues. My dogs and I LOVE this place. You almost forget youre in town because the nature is so beautiful. There is almost always someone at the park which is nice but it never feels crowded. The bathrooms have always been clean as well.I will offer a note of warning for dog owners: there are frequently large groups of children/families gathering at the park. This is great, however there have been many times I have had children run after me and my dogs and begin playing with them without asking. As someone with a nervous dog, its very concerning and Ive had to physically pick up my dog and walk away before when children wouldnt stop petting/chasing when I asked. You have to walk past the playground to get to the walking trails so be aware of that if you have a dog that is people shy/people aggressive.

People are doing a great job generally with social distancing. However, PLEASE keep your dogs leashed! I take my dogs up here, and they are pretty scared, and therefore unpredictable, with other dogs. And they are ALWAYS leashed unless they are at my house. I think this is my biggest complaint about Chapel Hill...that people are too privileged and short sighted to think about the safety of others. Come on, people...are we a community or a loose collection of individuals?

A pretty small park geared towards sports, theres a baseball diamond, a few soccer fields, and some tennis courts. The bathroom is nicer than most parks, though at the time of this post the water fountain doesnt work.

Its not the kind of park that you go to toss a frisbee or walk the dog, as there is no open green. There are soccer fields, a new playground, a baseball diamond, and a woodland trail (1 mile loop). There are also tennis courts here. These are hidden in the woods, a short walk from the parking area. There are toilet facilities which are kept clean and tables adjacent to the playground. Parking is ample. And there is a water fountain in case you forget your bottle. Its very nice and well maintained.

We LOVE Cedar Falls park! We play there weekly, along with 30-70 or so of our friends. Come and join us. The town just updated the park. The park is well shaded and had plenty of walking trails, baseball fields, soccer fields, etc. Just a beautiful park with something for everyone!

This park has a small network of trails that can be travelled as a loop ... or you can add in some cross trails as well. Trails can be accessed at the edge of the playground or behind the playing fields. The trail can also be accessed via connection with surrounding neighborhood streets in a couple locations. The topography is varied throughout, and the most dramatic is an exposed rock face adjacent to a series of small waterfalls. This section is on a dead-end spur thats accessible from the main (purple) trail. There are great shady places to explore in the ravine and the water flow depends on rainfall. Its like a bit of a secret get away in the middle of Chapel Hill.

Super clean, friendly people, peaceful trails. Definitely the safest park I have been to thus far. Wish it had more parking, especially for families going to the park and not the soccer games but it didnt take away from our fun.Trails are extremely rocky and rooty so keep a good hold on your smaller kids and toddlers.

Pa
Review №42

Love this access to trails - they arent long, but you can get in a decent trail run here with a few hills. The only downside are all the dog-walkers who choose to ignore the large dogs must be on leash signs. As a runner who has been chased and attacked by friendly dogs on numerous occasions, this is a public safety issue! Pleased keep your dog on a leash so we can all enjoy these beautiful trails.
