Definitey not a bad spot for picniking, fishing, or just walking around hanging out. As far as swimming goes Im not 100 percent sure you can swim here. So you may want to look for signs before you enter the water here for a fun day in the sun. Kind of a difficult spot to fish. I have most certainly caught bluegil, bass, and channel catfish. But it is my opinion there are many better places to fish in and around Cedar Rapids.

I go here to fish with my brother sometimes and its always great. Unfortunately we dont usually catch much if anything but its still a great place to hangout and fish.

Boat ramp and Pavillion are good gathering places. The backroad to the gazebo needs some work

It has nice pavilion right on the river, with boat dock.Good for fishing.Not suitable for kids at all.No fencing on the river.

Its not really the kind of park with a play ground and that sort of thing. But its a great place for fishing and canoeing.

Boat ramp that is easily accessible for anyone. No fee. Picnic tables, restrooms, and walking distance to back waters where you can get in some great fishing and swimming.

Just a close area to escape the city atmosphere. Nice enough to relax in.
