Virginia Weaver Park is gorgeous! The entrance is also the exit, so families with little children or children who work hard to follow directions () can relax! Your child cannot wander into the street without some effort. The playground is separated into a 2-5 year old play yard and a 5-12 year old play yard. They have swings for babies, swings for children who have specific needs, and low swings for children learning to swim in their own. Ive only seen this one time, but this park has a very rare Mommy-and-Me swing! Such a cool feature for parents with young children who want to swing! There are many colorful and intriguing toys for children to play with such as drums, xylophones, color panes, and unique playground equipment that promotes the improvement of the vestibular and proprioceptive senses. The park has clean restrooms!!! And behind the playground, there is a low ravine, more like a drainage ditch with landscaping () with a little bit of water running through it, so take caution if you plan on being here after the rain. There is a small pavilion close by the playground, too. We had a fun time exploring Virginia Weaver Park and plan to come back very soon to play!

My kids love it here! It’s so nice to have an enclosed playground, that is inclusive to children of different abilities. There is a merry go round that is wheelchair accessible, a swing that you can sit on with your child, and two separate play areas, for littles and bigs. Hands down, it’s the best playground in this area.

The park was one of the nicest and cleanest parks ive ever taken my babies to!!! I was very impressed! Its a hidden gem .

The park itself is great....but older teens seem to hangout here which takes space away from the kids that should be playing here.

I wanna talk to whoever thought it was okay to tear down our childhood and turn it into this ugly plastic stuff. Today’s kids will never live the real good life. It’s sad they didn’t get experience how the old park was.

Great location, nice clean place. The enclosed playground makes it easy to keep an eye on the little ones. Saturdays are packed but during the week you have plenty of space to run around.

This park was excellent! The new playground equipment was amazing! It was perfect for my 3 yr old and 4 yr old loved it. And, my 7 yr old even had fun on the bigger section and the swings. Were definitely coming back.

We love the park, however there is equipment on the toddler side that has been out of order since shortly after the park opened. Yellow caution tape won’t keep 3 year olds from climbing on broken equipment.

My baby loves this park. Its clean, age appropriate. People are friendly. Good parking. Has different sections for different age groups.

Its a beautiful park, unfortunately its located right in between the middle and high school... which means, teens....thats the only downfall. Theyve already had to replace the first Merry go round...and kids are always in the bathroom doing who knows what

Great for younger children may 2-11. Split sides so the younger children can play away from the older children.

I love it here! Theres a baby/ toddler side and a big kids side. Very nice, updated and tons of different things to do.

I used to play at this park when I was a little boy. My mom would take my brother, my cousins and I to what we called The Wooden Park because we didnt even know the name. We just knew it was the most fun park around.Recently, I volunteered to aid in construction of the new playground, and it has the same spirit of the old one. If you have kids, definitely take them here some time and let them loose. Its an amazing place.

Went for a softball tournament, was a pretty nice facility, restrooms are clean and food was hot and ready!However, most of the umps in this area are terrible and extremely unfriendly. They might want to be talked to about this is a childs game and there is no reason to be unkind with them.

I remember hanging out here in high school. I was really sad when they tore down the old park but they rebuilt it quite well. Definitely a lot safer for the kids and they even added some more features.

Very nice place for families, we went to this park for the very 1st time and the kids had alot of fun. Playground is kind of fenced in and my husband and I liked that alot, we worry about the safety of our kids so definitely was a plus for us. Its very clean and it had plenty of space to run around or walk with pets.

This park is to die for .the community help put it back together with great improvement it used to be called wood town park to us. This park is just simply beautiful now they have something there for everyone come bring your family bring a picnic basket enjoy stay all day.

It was a great park until they went and changed everything now its just for kids 5 and under.

Im really glad they rebuilt this park. I used to take my twins to it before and they enjoyed it, but it was very worn down and we always feared getting splinters when trying to crawl through the jungle gym. The new park is really fun and theres something for every age. My twins really enjoyed the different swing options and the secret passageways to climb in and out of the jungle gym. They tried to use the seesaw but it looks like its really built for kids ages 6 and below even though its on the age 7-12 side.Definitely not for big kids like my twins, aged 11, but they tried to have fun on it anyways. Overall we like this park. I just wish they would put some tables closer to the play area for when we bring food. I like to stay close enough where I can see my kids play.

Good park but not for older kids my son was kicked for the park by officers because he was to big and their were separate places for kids to play. He followed the other parents rules by not yelling, getting in their childs way, and not curseing. And, they expect us to take our kids to the park at night which is going to be closed because these other kids could possibly be at the park all night. Overall, this is a good park but, the problem is the officers

Nice set of softball fields. I have never played here, only spectated. It appears to be a nice facility. There is a concession stand. The field is lit for night games.

I like it in spite of its limitations. Its kind of land-locked behind the high school, and loses much of its space to a ball park when no games are happening. Its new-ish with public restroom and drinking water, playground with benches, nice multi-use hiker-biker concrete paths connecting to the Red Oak Creek trail system, and nice grass and trees.

Very clean and it has a very nice playground for the Kids. I play Softball and I love playing out there.

Very nice ball fields, the awnings covering the bleachers make the Texas heat somewhat tolerable. Plenty of restrooms and concessions are available.
