Nice new trail about 3 miles. No parking yet. Have to park at Audubon Dallas for now. Mostly right along 1382/Belt Line so very noisy but also very scenic

I was disappointed how there were few areas far enough away to not hear the whoosh of traffic. I always carry a baggy when I got hiking, and I picked up a lot of trash on this hike

The preserve is a treasure in the metroplex. A very special place that helps remind us of our place and connection with nature. It is so incredibly close to most urban and suburban areas and yet provides ample trails and places to explore, get lost and find yourself again. Its nice that it isnt as popular or as well known to many. The dogs love running and finding new friends along the way as well. There are many overlooks with towers that are absolutely incredible to look out and down over the rest of the flat lowlands.

I definitely recommend this for a family outing. I believe you can have a camp fire and everything. The experience and beautiful pictures are worth it

Great but very difficult hike up to the top of the mountain. You can see Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington from the top as well as all of Grand Prairie/Arlington-the view is amazing. No need to drive to the hill country just hike up here!

This trail sounds similar to the bigger, better trails off Mountain View, however this one is located off of Belt Line road. Once you actually find the main trail which might require several visits you will discover the staff forgets they are run by the city and acts as if their dirt and trees are made of Gold. They are always closed and in order to walk the main trail you have to sign in and sign out before you leave which is annoying, especially if youre sweaty and tired. Heaven forbid they see you approaching when they decide they want to be closed or with a dog; they make you feel like you are a burglar caught red handed.Dogs are not allowed but there is a day they can come, which I have no idea when because youll be forced to ask a rude, out of touch, librarian type staff to find out.To have all this fuss over a trail Id expect no trash and many visitors enjoying its beauty, but this is not the case. In fact there is trash and reminders everywhere that you are still in the city. Ive walked too many come as you go trails to know this is not the norm.

Had a hard time finding the trails so we ended up leaving. Its in the same parking lot as the Dogwood Canyon Audobon center.
