Such a beautiful place to visit, I would recommend it for sure. It was a little crowded, even on the last day of the season. The colors of all of the flowers are so beautiful and they have a lot to see and do. There were vendors selling food and drinks, a lot of them were cash only, so I would recommend having cash if you would like to buy food/drinks form some of the vendors. You can also bring in your own food and eat there, they have picnic tables there and its a great option if you are not wanting to purchase food on site.

Oh my my! This is the area to visit if you can. There are so many fields filled with so many flowers, smells like a light perfume mixed with Earth. There is an area for little kids to play. Snacks you can purchase. Must try their Strawberry Shake. There is an Entry fee , between the entry fee and purchasing of other things, expense could add up if you are on a budget. But worth seeing. A lot of beautiful walking. Plenty of parking. Which was free of charge when we visited!

The best flower fields in Southern California. Acres of Rananculus (Butter Cup) flowers are very nice to see. They are the apple for our eyes. The view will be very very scenic. Mid of March to mid if May is the season. April will be the best time to visit. The location is also good for Photo shoots, Birthday parties and weddings. Children enjoy the tractor rides and stamping activity. Price is reasonable. Strawberry treats in the ice cream shop would taste too good.

Our family had fun going today, opening day. Pros of going on opening day: its not too crowded, and the prices are discounted. Cons of going on opening day: not all the flowers are in bloom yet. There was still plenty to do and look at, but we will probably return at a later date for the full experience.Aside from the fields of flowers, they have a kids area, theres a tractor ride, a couple of bird cages, and a gold panning station. And apparently a wedding venue as well.

I’m a huge gardener and cannot say enough good things about this place. It was $16 for adults and $8 for kids, they offer a senior discount. There is a tractor ride around the 55 acres that is narrated giving the history of the fields and details about the flowers. The tractor ride ($5) was an extra cost as was the “gem” mining ($4). Plenty of things there were free and with kids, it’s easy to spent 3+ hours playing. We stayed over that and still didn’t do everything we wanted to. There is fresh squeezed lemonade and ice cream for sale. And truly the most magical flowers. Oh, and two aviaries. Staff were friendly and the grounds/gardens were very well maintained. And there was a passport for the kids to get stamps in and get $1 off a purchase. Just wish I’d had time to visit the nursery!

Beautiful flowers in colors and combinations that take your breath away, fun photo opportunities and props and acres of beauty made for a super fun outing to the Flower Fields! I went with a girlfriend and it was a perfect, relaxing day. The cost would be prohibitive for me to pay for the family to come, but for us it was great! We went during the week when there were less crowds, so that made it even nicer. I will look forward to my next visit and leave more time to explore! We stayed about 2.5 hours and could have easily stayed for at least another hour!

Need I say more? Should come here to see the acres of flowers field at least once in your life. They were so beautiful and row of row of different colors. It cost $18.00 a person to get in but it was worthy to spend your hours here with your loved ones. Guaranteed a lot of pictures would be taken so bring your camera and charge your IPhone to keep it busy.

I have been the DJ at the Flower Fields for many weddings & special events. The outdoor ceremony area is a beautiful spot especially when the flowers are in bloom (March-May). The flowers on are the hillside directly behind the ceremony area, so your guests will have a great view. The cocktail area is outside with a great fire pit. It is along the side of the barn. The barn is rustic chic and comes with a video screen & projector. It can fit up to 200 seated guests. These pictures are from a wedding I did yesterday. I highly recommend for weddings & special events.

Fun outing with my 9yr old daughter. Fields were bright and colorful, staff was friendly. She loved it, I thought the flowers were beautiful, but thought 16$ for an adult and 8$ for a child was steep to walk around and look at flowers. Especially since you can walk the whole thing in an hour or so. Still I guess you cant put a price on quality time, considering her answer to what her favorite thing was, everything! There are fun things for the little ones though: a flower maze, Santas playground, and tractor ride (this ones extra money, 5 for adult, 3 for children).

Beautiful, beautiful beautiful!!As the spring comes this is the right time to visit the place (I went on end of April) and all fields were on the full bloom. We really enjoy as a family to tour around and walk around the flower fields.Few things Im not sure to go back:* Price was 18$ per person and not a small bunch of flowers were given. The price for just see the flowers is ridiculously high.Ive been to several around the world and so far this is the highest Ive been with no added value rather than take some shots and stroll around (some gave a bunch for the way home, some gave you to cut 10 by yourself, some gave a souvenir and some have a reasonable price) a family of four could end of with Almost 80$ its insane).Additional ride on the truck is 5$ more pp.* All weekend is relatively packed but food trucks are available on those days. Do your choice.* Some shops were accepting only cash. 2019, Cmon....Anyway, place is beautiful, but not worth the money you put on.

Dont get me wrong, the flowers were gorgeous to look at, but thats all you are doing. Not much else to do. Didnt see the point in getting a wagon ride which ends up being with a big group of strangers on the same wagon ride around the flowers. Unless you are wild about flowers or want a great venue for pics or photography (both expert and practice), you may be surprised to be disappointed. Pics were taken on my phone, was gorgeous but last about 45 minutes there max.

Review №42

I’m no nature lover, but the flower fields were as vast as they were beautiful. Breathtaking views and ample picture taking opportunities mean that you can easily spend an hour or so if you decide to roam around the entire place. The great thing about this place is that nearly every row has a spot where you can go further in to take great panoramic shots with the most colourful backdrop behind you. Most flower fields generally don’t allow you to traverse between the rows to protect the flowers, and yet you always find a couple of people getting behind the green tape to take that perfect shot...so this was a good compromise. There are also tractor tours that bring you around the entire length of the field, so that you can take in all the flowers in their blooming glory.

Sa

Absolutely gorgeous! Flower lovers delight. They have their large plantation, but in front they have smaller flower gardens. They are very strict about not going into the flowers, but they have areas set up nice areas with little benches that will keep you out of the fields. Scavenger hunt for kids and then they get rewarded with a $3 bucket of sand with rocks to mine, and also a play area for kids.

Ja
Review №44

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad seem to be the perfect place to take a photo, and indeed it is, but the sheer amount of people that visit this place makes it hard to take a photo as people are constantly ruining the shot. The 18$ pricetag for a ticket would seem more justifiable if there were more attractions in this location. Beware, parking is very selective and although it is free you may resort to parking across the street if you dont get lucky to find a spot. Overall however, it is a good spot to take some photos of flowers although you cannot trample through the fields and must be around the perimeter of the field.

Pretty cool place. Flower Field have lots of stories. Parking was free and easy access. Tickets are kinda pricey though but I guess it is an attraction right?. I spend around $80 for 4 people. 2 adults, 1 child and 1 senior. That including the tractor loop around the flowers. It is beautiful. One thing I want to warn is to bring money. I did not so the only things I could use was the vending machines. Those machines accept apple and Samsung pay.It is a good one time activity for sure.Have fun!

We took the wagon ride, and the wagon just goes around the flowers, and comes back, with no real extra special views or some talk about different flowers and seasons. At the very least, there should be some education / guidance on what the different flowers are, their seasons, why do they grow here and not everywhere, etc.. They should have a plant planting activity for the kids. They did have a Strawberry shack, where the serve some of the best Strawberry shake I have ever tasted.
