Found this on Google maps and decided to give it a try. Brought the kids. Family friendly relaxed environment. The views of the canyon are beautiful! People warm and personable. Was such a great experience the kids asked to go again. Ordered food from Labelle and it was hand delivered to our table. Cigars welcomed!

We tried a bottle of Howling Cow Semi Sweet wine. It was the perfect blend of sweet and dry - something my husband and I could share. The owner is really a great guy to talk to when he has a minute. Nice place to visit!

We were excited to try the wine tastings at Bar Z after our hike at Palo Duro canyon, but I guess due to covid they were only doing bottle sales and there were no food options. We got a bottle and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. It was truly lovely.

Did some dry camping with Harvest Host at the Bar Z Winery. We were allowed to place our trailer where ever it we felt safe and out of their way. Super friendly folks with some decnet size Irish Wolfhournds that love attention. When we told them what we were having for dinner, they recommended a wine. It matched beautifully.IF you enjoy a good wine, good folk, good puppies and good scenes, I would recommend Bar Z.One thing… IF you are camping be careful of soft ground if the weather is damp. There were some marks left in the ground by RV leveling equipment.

Great sign off the road, but pulled up and couldnt figure out if they were open or really where to go. We arent shy so just walked around the building and found the tasting room. Great space and nice outdoor patio with a view. Fabulous staff and great wine.

We stayed over night as part of Harvest Host and they were able to accommodate our big rig which was nice. The lady working that Sunday was very nice and told us a lot of information about the wine and area in general. We enjoyed the wine so much that once we got settled in we wanted to go back in and buy a bottle so we could have it on our travels. It was an hour before close and another lady who was working locked the building and wouldnt acknowledge my husband who was knocking on the door (she clearly knew he was there). That was really disappointing to us. Hoping others will have a better experience.

If youre looking for a beautiful view, friendly staff, and a relaxing place to sip on some wine, look no further! BarZ Winery specializes in dry, red wine. They host food trucks on weekends during the summer and they have local artists play for the customers. It is absolutely lovely!

This winery is a member of Harvest Hosts - providing both water & elec. NICE!The staff was fun and engaging and the other patrons were very welcoming... we had a great time. They are located on a Mesa - the approach is like your driving onto a private ranch - gate and all! It was really very nice - we will certainly return.

Beautiful views, friendly staff and owner, very good wine ( had a bottle of the Pinot noir and I don’t really care for reds, A +) but most importantly: very good dogs to pet. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is a gem! Couldnt believe we stumbled upon it after leaving the canyon. Great place for unwinding and sampling some local fare. Dont expect amazing wine but some will pleasantly surprise. Five stars because it simply exists.

Though this winery does specialize in more dry reds, their white wines are special to those with a sweet tooth. Any Texan or out-of-state visitor needs to visit this winery, especially when going to the Palo Duro Canyon. The grapes are Texas-grown and the wines are extremely unique and you will be hooked on the first sip. We always love coming here and always bring our dogs (very dog friendly!!). Support your local businesses!

Visiting Palo Duro and being wine drinkers we read about Bar Z decided to stop by. Gravel road that leads to the winery is in need of grading with bad wash boarding. Pulled up to the blue building not knowing where to park and no signs pointing the way to the entrance. Walked around back to see the main entrance, I guess, and there were all the tables and chairs stacked up as if they were not open. Pulled on the door and sure enough closed. So no tasting today..darn. we arrived at just past 3pm on a Thursday. So since they were closed, when their google page says open from 3-9pm and not able to taste their wines I can only give a 1 star. Truely wished to try their wines and doubt well be back since we live out of state.

Some of the best wine you will ever have and they have the awards to back it up. I have watched the staff here bend over backwards and then some to make every visit or event a memorable success! I highly recommend Bar Z as a destination that you shouldnt miss out on.

Stopped here for a night hosted by the winery in our RV. They offered full hookup and a gorgeous Canyon view. Went in to meet the manager Amy who gave us a tour of the winery and poured us a glass each of wine straight from the tank! We ate at a local steak house a few miles away and came back for a tasting where Lauren could not have been better company... The wine was absolutely delicious, every bottle she poured from was better than the last - all different varieties of red. Warning, you cant leave without purchasing a few bottles of this reasonably priced wine. We are admittedly wine snobs and this was one of the best wineries we have ever had the pleasure of trying. Who knew good wine could come out of Texas?? Beautiful modern facilities and a sunset that doesnt disappoint. Locals and especially staff there were super friendly and made you feel at home. 100% recommend.
