Probably one of the rudest people ever. We were walking up to your door that said “Office” when you wanted to know what we were doing...We simply asked if you had any hiking trails. Just asking... Yes, we did see your sign that said “No Canyon Access”.So, we went across the street to the Jeep Tour, who DID have the hiking trails - and with no Canyon access either. We joined with many other people who hiked with us.Feedback: You might try a little sweet sugar, thank folks for coming by & invite them to see the zip line & give it a whirl. You make folks feel like they should stay away. So we did. We just wanted to see if we might be able to hike as well.Oh, and the hiking trails ARE open at the Jeep company. Really nice people there. They aren’t closed, as you stated.

We stayed here on 6/10/20-6/12/20. A short walk from our RV site rewarded us with an amazing view of the canyon. Its a stones throw away from the entrance of the park as well. Water pressure was good. Grounds were kept clean and my neighbor was really friendly. 5/5 would stay here again!

So, I am terrified of heights, but decided to give this a try because my whole family wanted to do it. Driving out to the canyon in the converted school bus felt like being back on safari because of the bumps. =) It ended up being very fun. The staff was extremely patient and helpful. The young men who took us out talked me through the whole thing and helped me calm down. I actually ziplined across the canyon because of them. Yeah! Thanks so much! Worth it!

Great experience! Do both parts - the back and forth zip is faster but the view from the long one is really a bucket list moment.

Ok, let me start by saying I would stay here again...however, below is a pros and cons list.Pros:Great location...couldn’t get any closer to the entrance to Palo Duro Canyon if you tried. Gas and Dollar General are an easy 10 minutes away.Clean bathrooms and showerClean camping areaQuiet and very relaxed atmosphereWater and electricity sites availableYou can reserve a spot onlineCons:Not inside of Palo Duro Canyon so you have to pay and entrance fee each for each day you want to go. We have a big family so definitely check out getting a Texas State Parks yearly pass.Only 1 shower currently working...although a second is under construction. No fire pits...but they do allow you to make one if there is no burn ban.At the entry and near the restrooms it is very cluttered. They are under construction but even with that, there is siding and material strewn about...could definitely have a better look and feel with that.In short...if you can’t stay in the canyon, this is your next best spot and a good one at that. Hopefully they will finish construction soon and clean up and make this place a 5-Star stop!

WATCH OUT! If you cancel you may not get a refund! I made a reservation in January for one night in May. Paid deposit (full night). In early April, I called to cancel. Was told by Mel that I would be mailed a check for my deposit. It has been 6 weeks and I have not received my check. I have called and I have written but still no response.

This is one of those place, which are not very popular but it has a x-factor, and you will like it. I traveled from Dallas to Amarillo for this and Canyon. It was worth it. Zip lining was definitely awesome.

Staff is cool and friendly. RV sites are pretty spacious. The hookups are wide apart so bring a long water hose. Reasonable rates and great view. I didnt have time to zip line on my stay, but definitely recommend the camp to anyone visting the Palo Duro Canyon area.

We did not zip line but we camped here and it was very affordable (especially compared to camping in the canyon) and we got to have an amazing view of the sunrise over the canyon. Bathrooms are clean and convenient. Will definitely stay here again.

We decided we needed to stop with our rv for the night, and they were the only one with space for us. It was good. It was full hook up, the views from the cliffs were amazing. It was easy to contact the staff after hours, and was able to pay before the staff made it to work the next day. Highly recommend, we wish we knew about this before we got there because we really wanted to go zip lining to after seeing their great set up an equipment. It was quality for sure. Check them out.

Out of our group of 8, 7 of us zip lined. It was a great first experience for all of us. Staff was friendly and very patient with those that were hesitant. Highly recommend the Adventure Combo since you will be doing 3 zip lines including over the canyon. This operation is very safety conscious and with 4 kids in our group it was very appreciated! If we are back in the area this will be on the top of our To Do list:). Great experience and highly recommend!!!

Thrill seekers beware. For what I paid I was expecting so much more. I am only rating my experience with the Zipline portion of this business. From the looks of the rest of the facilities, it has the potential to be an excellent overnight location for the weary traveler unable to get into the park.My two daughters and I visited June 4th. We met the staff who was very polite, accommodating and very safety concious. I was told that for 3 riders Id pay about 90$ I choked a little but after seeing the view I was all in. But heres the rub. What did my 90$ get me? It got me one ride approximately 30 seconds long excellent view and that was it. Wow, thats it. For what I paid I wouldve expected a couple of rides or different towers to jump from. Maybe a time limit. But no. Just one 30 sec ride. The only silver lining came when my youngest daughter panicked and I didnt have to pay for her ride so I got some money back. This experience fell short of expectations that I do not believe are unrealistic as a paying customer. Save your money. Not enough bang for your 30$/person plus 5$ gas fee for them to drive you out and back.

Loved this place!! We stayed at the rv park for a few days. The view from each spot was amazing! Full hookups. But water is at one end of spot and electric is at the other end. Make sure your hoses and cords are long enough. We also did the zip line! It was a blast! The school bus ride to the zip line was an adventure. Climbing up to the zip line was the scariest part. So worth it! Great staff. Great view. Such a fun weekend there!

We did the tower zip and it was rather disappointing. We spent 45 minutes waiting for a very uneventful 1 minute ride over very bland scenery. Also, they have you climb onto a ladder so they can clip you in. This wouldnt be an issue if it werent for the fact that the ladders are rickety and very unstable. It made me question the safety of the whole operation. Other than that, we had an enjoyable time and the employees were very kind.

We have been ziplining here before the fire. We had a blast. My 11 year old wanted to zipline with her friend for her birthday. We arrived the sweet person at the desk told us they were short staffed and had to wait for a lady to come back. After 45 minutes and multiple texts from the 2 employees they took 5 people who had paid for a combo. My 2 ..11 year old girls were left behind. When the woman finally showed up she told us some nonsense about not having gloves. Then after we watched 7 people go. The person who was supposed to take us said her boss called and told them to close. I have a feeling the other group got to finish. So she refunded our money and sent us packing. Ive never felt so sad for my daughter. She felt totally shunned. I am ashamed of the customer service we got and dont know if well go back. After reading another mothers post it seems like the the owners of this establishment might need to help the employees to understand that the zipline isnt their own personal party place.

Came here to camp with my family. Several strange things unfolded. Staff was rude, collected money and they was it. No info, check-in, document anything. Set up camp, only one other family camping. Late that night around 11ish, an employee and some other people showed up in a van to go down the back trail that is roped off. He acted weird, and told us not to come down there, that they were going hiking and to wait till it was daylight. (As if we even wanted to come...? No, it’s a 11pm)Neighbor came over and decided to start talking to us, which was equally strange. Cause she had no intentions with her conversation. She just lingered around and watched us...at 11pm?!! (Is this reality or a scary movie here?) We got in our tent to put the kids to bed, and random people from who knows where in the dark walked by...(these people were not from the camp, as it was only us and the other couple) Where did they come from? We are in a pretty desolate area and why are they in the campground? So.... after that we started recollecting all the weird incidences, and left to get a hotel. Super disappointed that the campground doesn’t loco up at night, and that there isn’t better safety protocols for its campers & the staff running it.
