Perfect temperature went in December at night with some close friends and we were vibing the whole time. Such a rich, cultured, and artistic spot. Easy hike with a knee high wade through the river 3/4 of the way to the hot springs. Actual location is spacious and peaceful. You can learn new things here.

November 2019. Tough road down. Make sure you plan your stay. Beautiful souls are met here.

The Verde Hot Springs was THE place to go in the early 70s. Once you parked, and crossed the Verde, it was clothing optional. No one wore a stitch. People would bring kegs and generators and there would be music and major partying on the east side of the river where you parked. If you wanted to imagine what a 60s hippie experience was, this was it.

There is a road leading right to it that you can walk along and then you just walk across the river at the thinnest, most shallow part. Dont do what I did and just walk the one mile trail, jump in and then swim a mile lol

I havent been there for about 30 years but from the photos it looks like it hasnt changed much. Bumpy drive in and crossing the river was a fun challenge. Once there it is so cool. Not temperature cool (it is a hot spring) but fun and beautiful cool. On my bucket list to go there at least one more time, maybe two times.

Crazy hard trail to get there from 17, but wow one of the neatest places Ive ever seen..not for inexperienced hikers or off roaders

Its a cute spot. It was interesting talking to the people there, who were living out of their cars and bathing in the buff. Its nicely decorated with interesting graffiti. Its a short hike and a river crossing to get to the hot spring, after 16 miles or so in on a dirt road. Camping is available nearby. The spring is quite warm, but a little less than truly hot.

Great for pics, and soaking, and painting lol. Very artsy. 2 main springs (one hotter than the other) decent size. Then a couple smaller ones that are really small for like 1 person. Its a small hike to get there and then you have to cross a river (very cold) but worth it.

Please note that there is a 22 mile mountain you are traveling down, all gravel and bumpy road. It will take about an hour and a half to get down. Lots of homeless looking people at the bottom, living out a vans that look like they havent moved in a while in the camping area. Also mind the naked people. The actual hot springs are not that easy to find if you dont know where you are going. I would park up above the camping area, if you do not plan on staying the night. There is a trail/road to the right going towards the tall stand alone palm tree next to the electric towers. Take the trail and eventually you will see a spray painted rock with an X and arrow spray painted on it.. You will see to the left a couple trails that a very hidden. Take these trails and go to the right opening where the water is, there is a clearing where you will have to cross the very cold water and heavy current about waist deep. Put backpack over your head and shoes tied around your neck. Go to the left on the trail and it will lead to the hot springs.

Absolutely loved it. It takes a while to get there. The hiking trail is not clearly marked and you can get off track easily. You also have to cross the Verde River so be aware. Once you are at the hot springs it is well worth it.

Fun place to go. Rough road to get here though. I drove a car (I dont have a truck yet) and it made it without bottoming out but I would advise to take a truck. Also, it is about a mile hike from where you park in order to get to the hot spring.

It’s good at night you can’t see literally anythingEdward Bernards Orbis eruditi, comparing all known alphabets as of 1689An alphabet is a standard set of letters (basic written symbols or graphemes) that represent the phonemes (basic significant sounds) of any spoken language it is used to write. This is in contrast to other types of writing systems, such as syllabaries (in which each character represents a syllable) and logographic systems (in which each character represents a word, morpheme, or semantic unit). The first fully phonemic script, the Proto-Canaanite script, later known as the Phoenician alphabet, is considered to be the first alphabet, and is the ancestor of most modern alphabets, including Arabic, Greek, Latin, Cyrillic, Hebrew, and possibly Brahmic.[1][2] Peter T. Daniels, however, distinguishes an abugida or alphasyllabary, a set of graphemes that represent consonantal base letters which diacritics modify to represent vowels (as in Devanagari and other South Asian scripts), an abjad, in which letters predominantly or exclusively represent consonants (as in the original Phoenician, Hebrew or Arabic), and an alphabet, a set of graphemes that represent both vowels and consonants. In this narrow sense of the word the first true alphabet was the Greek alphabet,[3][4] which was developed on the basis of the earlier Phoenician alphabet.Of the dozens of alphabets in use today, the most popular is the Latin alphabet[5], which was derived from the Greek, and which many languages modify by adding letters formed using diacritical marks. While most alphabets have letters composed of lines (linear writing), there are also exceptions such as the alphabets used in Braille. The Khmer alphabet (for Cambodian) is the longest, with 74 letters.[6]Alphabets are usually associated with a standard ordering of letters. This makes them useful for purposes of collation, specifically by allowing words to be sorted in alphabetical order. It also means that their letters can be used as an alternative method of numbering ordered items, in such contexts as numbered lists and number placements.

Great little get away. Its a nice alternative to Fossil Springs. I was warned Id see some naked hippies in the spring but alas, I did not. Bring something to leave your mark at the spring. Everyone else has. The camp down the river from the spring can get kind of crowded. Nothing horrible but heads up. You will see a handful of stand up paddle boarders, kayakers and canoers go down the Verde. It is possible for a car to make it to the camp sight but you should really take a truck or SUV. Good people. Nice area. Great way to escape the heat in the valley.

You either have to ford the river to get to the springs or bring a raft. Fording it can be difficult at certain times of the year. I was unable to go because I was unaware of this so be prepared.
