Great family friendly area to walk w kiddos and doggos!
Trail difficulty is miss marked. Transition into lot is washed out, be careful not to scrape numbers are if you have a car.
The trail was fairly dry, it has been a very wet spring. I went toward the ponds. One hill, but easy to manage with a baby in a pack. I brought my mom too, she loved it. Easy to navigate. I wore hiking shoes, but probably could have done sneakers, which my mom had on and did fine. Very well maintained!
I like to hike here in the winter with my dogs because I usually run into more snowmobilers than other hikers. During the warm seasons its quite busy on a daily basis. There are a couple different trails and lots of varying hill grades, once you get to the railroad bed you can walk forever in each direction. Well maintained.
As you can tell by all the comments this is a busy place especially during quarantine. mikicc.wordpress.com
After driving by this trailhead regularly, and not really thinking anything of it, I decided to explore it. Theres a nice network of trails here, worth exploring. I did note that throughout a good part of it, at least when youre up in the hillier portions, you can still hear the traffic from rt 13, but thats a fairly minor note on an otherwise easily accessible gem.
Great trials, well marked..alot to see
Still very wet, but typical for April. Beautiful, quiet trails.
A beautiful place for nature lovers to walk around in and enjoy! This was my first time coming here, but I would like to return soon.
Easy walking trails clean
Nice trail to the top!
The 301s trail to the Scabbard Mill Pond Trail to the Stonewall Trail this will bring you back to the Bartell Trail this is a hike that we enjoy with our dog Sadie there are other trails to explore the cliff Trail is also a good one but a little hard in the winter
Hiked there a bit today for first time, cant wait to see this place in the spring.
Well taken care of
Excellent place to walk dogs in winter as snow is groomed so deep snow is no problem.
Nice trail out to the railroad bed. If you hike it in the spring with snow still on the trail, bring an extra pair of shoes.
Easy to find trailhead
