Nice local park for a short walk or picnic. Dogs are allowed off leash, but the park is NOT fully enclosed! Only bring trustworthy pups
Cool park. Lots of open space to sit down and have a picnic
Lovely greenspace just off Coolidge Corner. The playground itself is nothing to write home about, but the big climbing structure is a favorite and the landscaping makes it feel like a sanctuary. Cool places to explore, lots of great grass to run and play on, and a good spot for a picnic.
Small but lovely park
I love it
Beautiful, very large park. Great for furry friends and the kids.
Ive lived less than a half mile from this park for almost two years and I finally visited it this evening. Pristine and verdant - at least in the dark.
Best park in Brookline!
The park was really nice, and didnt feel like you were in the city at all, because it was kind of secluded. I havent lived far from it for nearly 5 years now and wish I had gone so many years ago!The day I went the was a large section gated off with orange plastic construction fencing that was off limits to anyone due to new plantings, but still plenty of room for dogs and humans to play.Theres a nice playground for kids that thankfully isnt fenced off from dogs, so your kids AND dogs can play at the same time! I lost count of how many kids stopped playing and asked to pet the doggy or puppy as people passed. The walking path was a nice little distance, but nothing told you how far one lap was, so Id be curious to know, and it could most certainly be at least 1/2 again wider, if not twice as wide! I think that was really probably the only reason I took off a star. The path was just too narrow! While it made the whole park much more accessible for me as a whole, I always felt like my dog and I were in the way because (it was muddy) and people had to walk off the path around my wheelchair to pass us, for the most part. There were also parts that were kind of flooded out with mud puddles, so I had a pretty muddy pup at the end even though she was always on the path.*Just a caution!* Although it was fine for me and in truth kind of fun, there is one area of the path with a speed-bump-esque tree root growing under it. Just mind your step, stroll, stroller, or child there and youll be fine. Its a fact of life in an old city, but worth noting.**I did not remove a star for these two reasons but ask people to be mindful of them.1) I did not appreciate the group of about 4 high school teens carrying a, what I used to call boombox, through a park full of young kids playing loud profane music. Please keep that for your destination.2) I cannot urge you enough to PLEASE pick up after your dog!IF YOU ARE UNABLE, there are usually people around willing to help in my experience! So, there is no excuse! If I could have gotten through the mud to pick up after this negligent person I would have.
I thought this was an all-you-can-eat buffet
Perfect spot for a quick walk, run of the dog or some kid playground time. Close enough to the T you could hit it with a rock. Its also a great place for urban bird watching. Theres even a chance of spotting one of the local rafter of wild turkeys here. And a few picnic tables afford a great location for lunch.
Sweet park that is beautiful in all seasons. This is our favorite local park. There is a playground and swings on one side, a large walking path, and an area for dogs (unfenced) to use as part of the Green Dog initiative. The willows and other trees are always beautiful. Great place to stroll, picnic and meet the neighbors.
The paved loop in this park is great for kids to practice bicycle riding safely. The roads around the park are quiet and the trees block the street pretty well, so there is a nice sort of private feel to the park. There are a couple of basketball hoops here that are fun to shoot around on, but watch out for the dogs!
A pleasant neighborhood park in close adjacency to Beacon Street and Coolidge Corner. Small and surrounded by homes, this park is popular with parents, dog walkers and those taking a modest stroll. Look for the small pond, almost a vernal pool, hidden at the center of the small park. Best accessed from Washington Street but a mid block path will also bring one to Beacon Street. Enjoy!
Went here to lay out and read. Kids were playing at the park and people passing through walking dogs. Nice quiet park!
Quiet and nice neighborhood.Lots of open space for kids and dogs. Also as of the moment a bit part of the Park is closed because of the renovations that are being made to it. I hope they fix it up well. It looks dated for the community if Brookline. The Basketball court has been taken over by evasive grass to the point that it cant be properly used. And there currently isnt a safety floor for the childrens play structure. Passed several times and still havent seen it in use. But like I said. its partly closed for renovations. It doesnt look as if there is a rush to do it though.
The park is very nice and well maintained. There is plenty of benches, a water fountain, and a playground. There are a few neat places in the park that make it more interesting than just a common park.
This is a small park, however it is perfect for children and teens.During the day children can run around, shoot some hoops, swing or just enjoy some sunlight. At night teens can run around and play some capture the flag.
A beautiful, friendly neighborhood park. Great to walk your dog, and even though I dont think its officially allowed, plenty of dogs go off-leash here and play. Great for them (and their owners) to get exercise!
Great for dogs and kids!
It needs more structures for kids and less dogs in it but it is a beautiful place. I saw the sign no dogs, it was hidden under the tree...
Beautiful trees. Park for the kids. Bad thing is dogs dont get curb by their walkers. Making the beautiful grounds dirty with dog poop and patrons taking it on their shoes soles to their cars and home.
Great place to walk around
Lovely place to relax
This is a great small gem of a park. It has a pretty good play structure for kids from 3 years old to probably 8 or 9 years old. It also has very well maintained grass and gorgeous willow trees. It is perfect for picnics and hang outs, reading a book, and maybe taking a nap in the Sun.
A beautiful park but not much to it. Its great for dogs... has a small playground
A local little escape. Love the Green Dog program here.
Great play ground for kids plus its a part of the Green Dog program so dogs can roam off leash until 1pm. Our kids and dogs favorite park!
Cute, clean, nice path for walking. Dogs are friendly. My dog loves it
Lovely place for walk
Great park to relax in. off-leash dogs allowed til 1pm. Wonderful for kids, dogs, reading, playing catch
Very nice park. Not a very good place to go in the morning hours due to the large amount of dogs.
Nice park for walking
Nice and relaxing spot. I love that it is super dog friendly with community dog toys.
Excellent for a quite walk, jog, cycle
Quiet and beautiful park. Love to swing, while watching people passing
This is a great place for off leash play for your little dog! Wonderful environment and nice walking track.
Theres a nice climbing structure, but the rest of the park needs updating. Lots of water and underbrush.
Quiet park. Nice green space for families to hang out.
Lovely, bucolic place. I have been going there since I was a young kid.
Quiet and pleasant. Lots of dogs.
Great park
Clean friendly Park
Very pleasant small park
Lots of greenery close to Coolidge Corner section of Brookline - dog friendly with playground structures for children....
Great place for dog walking.
Nice park with playground. Most of the playground equipment is exposed to direct sunlight.
It was meh! Kind of not exceptional, but there were some fluffy dogs.
Limited off leash hours
Great people, great dogs.
This place its really cozy
Nice park
Great for biking
You can only unleash your dog if youre participating in green dog program
Quite scenic
