Font go here! Beautiful park. Very busy in the COVID times, so the fewer the merrier.
This is my happy place I go to in my mind for sanctuary and for real. Its a little-known gem even to the locals, hidden off a couple main streets and behind some big apartment buildings . It offers peace, abundant greenery, birds, turtles and unexpected glimpses of nature in the city. It is beautiful year-round, in all seasons. Once you find it, you want to go back and its easy to get to by foot or T, with parking too.
Beautiful oasis in the city center. Wildlife and natural landscape thoughtfully preserved and easily accessed.
Pretty little park with a rich history. Originally built to attract songbirds back to Boston.Situated next to Amory park, its a nice place for a stroll and chat with a friend. Peaceful boardwalks and charming gardens highlight this small Oasis.
Quick fix of nature in the city!
A lovely hidden green gem in Boston. Love coming here for a refresh, the lawn is nice and green to lay out on or have a picnic. Almost always lots of dogs playing! Pond is a little lackluster but there are sometimes herons and turtles hanging out.
Pretty little park and beautiful relaxing place.
Even in a small town like Brookline it can be helpful to have a small Oasis from the noise of daily life. Halls Pond provides that in spades.
Small enclosed wooded area adjacent to a town park. Nice place for a short stroll. Theres a pond here and sometimes you can spot beautiful birds and flowers. If youre picnicking at Amory Playground, take a walk here.
Beautiful Oasis. Its small so go during off hours and simply sit on the dock and relax/meditate.
Used to be a quiet bird sanctuary. Now its more like a kids birthday party hotspot + dogwalkers delight. Lots of warblers in spring and fall, repeat reports of barred owls in fall. Ive even seen a summer tanager here. Try arriving very early or at off-peak times to really take advantage of this tiny wooded bird sanctuary.
I walked here with a friend after work. It was peaceful.
Very peaceful. Good bird watching
Find this place so great for having group picnic lunch and bird viewing
Cute little pond in the middle of the city. Good for a short walk, bird watching, or to read a book. The walk around the pond probably takes 10 min and is very enjoyable.
Gorgeous and mostly peaceful - sometimes you still hear games going on in the nearby park. Otherwise a beautiful way to get out of the city for a little while and enjoy nature. Depending on when youre there, expect to see herons, rabbits, and even wild turkeys.
Must say that we got little disappointed. The place isnt as big as we thought it will be, and too many sections need some work and cleaning. It is nice to visit, if you are nearby.
Nice quiet nature walk. Lovely garden to explore. Great place to take a lunch break or to get a nature fix.
Halls Pond Sanctuary is beautiful, wonderful and peaceful.
A hidden nature preserve in the middle of the city. Herons are active shortly before dusk.
Great place to go for a walk if you are in the mood for a bit of nature
I lovely island of nature . Turtles, ducks, geese and other creatures. A short path through trees and a boardwalk with viewing platforms.
Beautiful
A very nice and peaceful place to go with the family
Nice that it is next to the armory playground! See my review there
Really pretty park! Make sure to access it from the main entrance, as it is fenced in, though (made mistake of approaching from side).
Wonderful hideaway.
Small little oasis, easy to be missed.
Great place to escape the city vibe for a walk
Peaceful Oasis for birds and humans alike!
Great nature walk in the city
A diamond in the rough. Like a secret garden where you can forget about the city heartbeat for a while.
