The show was great my complaint is that the equipment for the outside museum is Very VERY dated and most of the stuff was turned off you would think they would have money to bring it up to speed. Its a place to go 1 and thats about it dont see myself going again any time soon.

Very cool place, with inexpensive tickets. They have a good variety of shows- but let it be said, of the three that I went to, I fell asleep at some point during each show, because the chairs are so so so comfy. They are perfectly leaned back and its dark, and if pink Floyd is playing, well, thats lights out.10/10 would nap again.

Friendly staff and cool laser show! Definitely worth the low price of admission. The building itself shows its age, and the sound/lighting quality of the laser shows could be improved, but its definitely a neat experience and worth checking out at least once! I visited on a date night and we had a great time! Thanks to all the great staff for making it an awesome night.

They made my entire life! This is the best Planetarium of all time, but Im biased and here is why!The entire staff helped me orchestrate the most wonderful proposal to my boyfriend of all time. They were so kind and helpful, Tito and all 5 of the workers there Saturday helped me in a very short space of time andTHEY DID IT PERFECTLY!!!The stars aligned this week for this, they were showing We are stars, my boyfriend and I were driving to Colorado from Nebraska, I emailed in 4 quotes from a few notable scientists followed by a question phrased with the help of a Niel Gaiman Stardust quote,Will you spend the rest of our lives showing me what stars do best? Will you marry me?And Guys. GUYS. They did way better than anything I could have come up with. They put our photo on the screen. They posted the quotes one by one, the whole planetarium was packed. I got down on one knee and proposed with his Carbon and Rose gold ring (space nerds get it.) and he teared upAnd I suppose I should have said fiance throughout this entire post... He said yes. The staff wouldnt accept my money either, I tried to tip them.We drove through snow, and a blizzard, in the dark, slept 2 hours (my now fiance never knowing why, but we are both astronomy and science enthusiasts, so he was totally game) and drove from Estes Park to Boulder for this.**edited** there were children in our show. No one got kicked out, no one fell asleep. There was even a baby crying. Bring your children to Planetariums, as often as possible.

Its a planetarium. You go here to learn something about our universe. I personally am always impressed with this place, maybe because I like learning something new. Dont expect the Disney Land experience that some of these poor reviews were expecting. Expect to learn something new that you didnt know before. I am proud to have such a great facility on Boulder campus.

We came from out of state on vacation looking for things to do with our young kids. We bought a groupon for the show. Thank goodness we didnt spend full price. I was not impressed. The place was very run down, exhibits were dated and not interesting. The show was, eh. It was a double feature with cartoon and laser show. Both the cartoon show and laser show were boring. I would not go back on our next visit.

This is a small, simple, no-frills planetarium, a bit dated, reasonable prices, but you can learn a few things while youre there. While we visited, they had some telescopes out and some astronomy staff to answer questions, which was great, although I dont know if thats a regular thing over there. I wish they had more shows and shows that were longer. Not a bad place, but Id still recommend Gates Planetarium over this one. This place is good for a visit or two, but thats about it, really.

Stopped by here for a show called We Are Stars, staff was very nice and full of information. Simulations they played and showed were amazing. I would have been happy with just sitting in there learning about space and astrophysics for 1 hour or more. This was my first time being to a planetarium and I will be going back again someday. Is math related to science? xD

I really liked the first half of our Planetarium experience, during which we learned about stars. The second half, however, was a very strange laser show that had nothing to do with space. The staff was nice and the planetarium appears to be doing some updates, I hope that will include ditching the laser show.

We really enjoyed the informative Bella Gaia show, the imagery was beautiful and provided a great view of the Earth. It was extremely interesting. However, the science talk that accompanied the show was slightly off topic (it was about Mars, not Earth). We will go back for sure, they seem to offer a wide variety of shows which offers something for everyone.

The Daft Punk laser show was disappointing. The music was in mono and half the speakers were blown. The lasers were more distracting than anything. Save the $10 and watch an iTunes visualizer or a Windows screensaver. And thats only the show. The actual planetarium is completely run down and dated. Youd think a university with such a focus on space/astronomy would spend a few bucks to keep this place current.

Fiske Planetarium, should become the description/ meaning of words such as breathtaking, enthralling, enlightening, welcoming, and unforgettable. The planetarium itself is awe-inspiring, the staff are even more so. Fiske staff exceed the expectations of those who walk through the doors, how they treat you, and the lengths that they are willing to go to to facilitate a positive and educational experience are what i consider Going above and beyond.Ps. YAAAY Fiske.

Sad to say...please dont waste your money here. Take your kids and spend the money somewhere else. The zoo, the Denver Museum, IMAX theater...there so many other nice places in Denver. Its and old, outdated, very juvenile experience. Its dirty, run down, and extremely over priced.

Had a Groupon that said it was good for any show for 4 people, which was prepaid. Come to find out, the lady at the desk said that they changed the rules which were somewhere on their website (not the groupon) where all Summer that deal wouldnt work until September, although the groupon expired 9/11. After she initially charged me more than it should of, by just using the groupon value as cash it still ended up costing $70 when it all should of been $20.This place was run down, the interactive museum outside the planetarium was run down, screens were off and it was difficult to engage with kids with outdated equipment. This place is a total racquet and in it to steal money and cheat customers. Our family will never be back. Very disappointed. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Pre-paid to go see a Laser Light Daft Punk Show. The staff kept collecting money until after all tickets were sold and everybody was in line. They then decided to be honest and tell everyone the show was cancelled due to sound and screen issues and that they had known about this all day. They did not refund any money for tickets or offer to do so, and since we had taken a group of people with us and just bought a bunch of tickets along with our groupon tickets we were left wondering why the hell they didnt warn us about this obvious equipment failure before everyone gave them their money. This is called a scam when you do this so someone. There were no discounts off a future show if we wanted to substitute our concert for the evening with a vocal and unplanned star tour that they were trying to cash in on.The whole time during the show (which we went to because this was my only night in Boulder and I would have had to throw away my tickets otherwise) they kept bragging about how state-of-the art the new projector is and how its possibly the most advanced planetarium in the world, but I could not find any info about this anywhere outside of the guy in the planetarium telling us this, if it can be confirmed, that would be nice.Overall, great planetarium as far as they go, I think all planetariums are pretty awesome. Hopefully you go without being scammed, and see the show you want. I was really upset about how much they didnt care about their customers or respecting them properly as people and not as bags of money.
