Nice museum of the Senate, a memorial of a senator who championed equal rights ruined by the racially profiling security guard who posted up by my car as soon as I arrived and didnt move until I left. Live by the words, Boston. Do better.

I cant say enough good things about our experience at the EMK Institute. The replica of the Senate chamber is amazing, and the Todays Vote program is informative and interactive. The fact that each visitor receives a tablet on arrival and chooses their own profile makes you feel like a part of everything that is going on. We arrived just after opening and stayed easily until 2pm. I highly recommend visiting (and if you are a local, check with your library for discount passes!).

Great place to learn about the history and inner workings of the US Senate, plus the life and times of one of its longest-serving members, Edward (Ted) Kennedy. Visitors are handed handheld devices to help them navigate the museum and interact with the exhibitions. The space is huge but has just the right amount of exhibitions, so the experience is not overwhelming. Check out the large hall recreating the actual US Senate chamber in DC, where you can get a feel for what its like to be a US senator voting on issues and legislation. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. There is a gift shop and cafeteria on-site.

I really enjoyed our time at the Institute. Lots of history about the Senate. Loved the interactive features and being part of a vote in the Senate chamber. A lot more goes into passing laws than I ever knew! lol The replica of Sen Kennedys office was the icing on the cake during our visit. All the paintings he did are hanging on the walls of the reception area of his office....I never realized what a good artist he was.

Went to the JFK Library on Monday and saw that the EMK Institute was open Tuesday thru Sunday. So came back on Thursday at 12:20pm only to find they were only open until 1pm that day even though they advertise a 10am-5pm opening times on their website. Disappointing as I came back specifically to visit on my vacation.

A wonderful and educational experience. A great interactive experience, the staff is very friendly and seem to love their jobs. The chance to follow the making of a law, then playing Senator in the hall was great. Dont go and say nothing. Stand and be heard. It will contribute to your experience. I plan to go back and bring my out of town guests who have not seen it yet. A MUST stop for every American!

An incredible facility combined with an incredible staff, EMK offers a one of a kind immersive experience. I try to take a field trip with my middle school civics students annually and we are always left amazed. They have rebuild the US Senate chamber to scale and offer an innovated SIM as well as the ever changing daily roll call. In a time of political division and dysfunction, The EMK Institute for the US Senate provides some hope in the dark.
