It is basically just a building in renovation. Honestly, I was waiting for more but the building is very nice. Be careful because it is very easy to miss, it’s kind of hidden. However, I do not regret knowing about it.

Drove past one time and felt strange. Our family owed this corner from the 1630s until after Ben Franklin was born here.

The birthplace of the father of USA. The original home was burnt down and this building was later constructed.

17 Milk Street is just a building with an inscription noting that Benjamin Franklin was born here. The building is black now (July 2019).There are currently 2 spots on Google maps for this site.

Never saw it. Our Boston hop on hop off HISTORICAL tour guide Sean FORGOT to mention Franklins birth place. He was too busy pointing out more historical buildings like new hotels, resturants , financial institutions and college campuses

1 Milk Street, the location of Ben Franklins birth in 1906. Part of the Freedom Trail.Franklins bust is displayed (like a gargoyle) on the front of the building, facing Old City Hall. Not much to see here, honestly. The home Franklin was born and lived in is long gone, destroyed by fire in 1811. Nonetheless, this is a fitting tribute for one of the countrys most esteemed citizens.

I havent been inside for a long time, but pass this historic landmark frequently. I wondered why the owners chose to change the facade from white to black, but they did this past fall, 2018. IMHO, its not an improvement.

Nothing much to see. Ben Franklin was born here now a white six story building stands on its place. Look above the Sir Speedy sign and you will find a bust of Franklin with a sign that says Birthplace of Franklin
