I had to cross this bridge while walking The Freedom Trail. Couldnt look down. I did stop to take a photo of the Charles River. I just happened to spot the boat I would have been on if I didnt lose courage. lolAlso caught a sea gull taking a brake.

We walked across the North Washington Street Bridge on our grand adventure in Boston. This Bridge is part of the Freedom trail that we followed and showed our daughter many historic places. The bridge itself always seems to be under some sort of construction but still, the bridge is a beautiful piece of the area.

What better way to overcome your fear of bridges than have your boyfriend drag you across one in the middle of winter... Oh did I mention its a grated bridge? 5 stars for the humor and beautiful view

This bridge is completely rotten!!! Pathway unsafe - particularly for cyclists.

Very cool bridge but the sidewalk on the south end is a bit uneven

This bridge provides the best route from central Boston to Charlestown. It is open during repairs but expect lane closures and delays (see the photo). For the best pedestrian route try crossing the locks accessed from Lovejoy Wharf.

Impressive bridge, but all of the construction barriers designed to keep traffic off of the central truss line really hinder the appearance of the structure. I’d recommend repairing the central truss line to allow its use again.

The Charleston Bridge is part of the Freedom Trail. There are great views as you cross the bridge. It is old and has grates I believe that they are going to renovate it soon.

This bridge allows you to walk from your hotel to the td garden if you’re on the other side of the river. It’s very convenient and I’m glad it’s there.

Most people from charlestown call it the Nort end bridge. And the people from the North End call it the childs down Bridge

Old Bridge. Very nice.

I’ll have to try walking over it, I usually drive over it. Today they released the plans for the new bridge, I didn’t like them the new bridge will be ugly and only have 2 travel lanes each way. They definitely need 3 inbound and 2 are ok for outbound.

Always a nice walk or drive through the bridge, gives you more of the bostonian experience by Charlestown.

You have to walk over it when you do the Freedom Trail. I liked it but if youre afraid of heights it might be a challenge.

Usually an elevated goes through this bridge when the Haymarket North Extension was opened in 1975.

This bridge is in serious need of renovation or replacement.
