I LOVED THIS. Very high quality special effects and complicated puzzles. My family couldn’t escape in one hour but we had a blast!

Loved this experience! Did this with my family while on vacation and it was our first time. What a blast we had. First you watch a video to hear the back story on the theme of the room and then you go into the room. Once in the room, the door locks until your one hour is up or you solve the riddles to open the door yourself. There is an emergency exit door which is kept unlocked at all times. The premise of the room is that you find all the clues to break down the mystery in order to get out. This was definitely more difficult than I thought it would be, and because of that fact you are allowed to ask for clues through your walkie talkie. Collaboration is the key to solving. Each one of us has a different thought process so as the clues were given certain things were easier for each of us to figure out. Will definitely do it again!

First ever escape room and i haven’t stopped thinking about it since! I think I’m addicted lol It was so amazing!! 10/10 recommend. He’s got another room in the works that should open in the next couple months and i will definitely be back to do that one! If you’re looking for something to do for an hour while in Boone, definitely do it!!!

This is only the second escape room we’ve ever done but “The Inheritance” felt like a significant class above our other experience back in Raleigh. We all loved the fun special effects and imaginative ways that some of these clues worked. Great experience overall!

This my very first time trying the escape room and let me tell you, Im addicted after playing here. My girlfriend and I did the inheritance room with some random people. It was exciting trying to beat the time and solve the puzzles and searching for keys. Because if this place, I will be checking out many more in the city I live in. I would go back but we were just killing time on the road home. It was challenging and thrilling but with the help of some clues over the walkie talkie, we were able to beat the room with 37 seconds to go.

First escape room Ive ever done and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great story and good effects. Went with people who have gone to many escape rooms and we still barely made it out.

Ive done several escape rooms and this has been one of my favorites. My husband and I did the Inheritance room and were blown away at the immersive atmosphere and thoughtfulness that went into all of the puzzles and props. We would love to come back and try out the new room when its available. Would definitely recommend this place!!

Very friendly and upbeat staff. The facility and agenda is well thought out and clean as well as suitable for our family. The escape room itself was well organized and piqued our diverse groups interest for a full hour. I would definitely recommend this place.

I brought my high school students on a field trip to Mysterium! Shaun, who runs Mysterium, was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the whole process! He made special accommodations for our group since we had so many coming, and worked tirelessly to make sure we had a flawless experience! The escape room itself is AMAZING! The Inheritance is crazy fun, intricate, and well thought out! As soon as I walked into the escape room I was impressed with the level of detail! The theme/plot is super fun! It is difficult, but not so difficult that you get frustrated and give up! I felt like a real life Nancy Drew scouring for clues! All of my students agreed that they had a phenomenal time and absolutely loved it! I highly recommend this to anyone! This would be fun to do with a date or with friends. I also recommend it to anyone with kids/students middle school age and up-- They will have a blast and learn how to think outside of the box and work together! Cant say enough good things about this place! I cant wait until they open up the new room that they are working on!! Thanks for the outstanding experience!!

This experience far exceeded my expectation. Our group used our detective skills, and made it out with 29 seconds to go. Prior to going, get yourself in the mindset to solve a mystery. I was so impressed with the props, the decor, the clues, the totality of the experience. This was such a memorable experience for us. The only suggestion I would make is sell a super cool t shirt so you can take something home with you after you are finished. It was amazing. I am looking forward to doing another escape room with Mysterium again!!! Thank you!!!!!

We were at Watauga Lake for the weekend and unfortunately it rained. So we checked out the escape room in Boone and loved it!! My husband and I were paired with 3 others we didnt know, but we still worked as a team and had a great time. Well worth the $25 especially for a rainy afternoon activity. Highly recommend!

Very fun, family friendly atmosphere. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, high quality props/effects. We brought our 5 y/o and she wasnt scared at all, perfectly fine. If you can master this room with less than 2 hints in the time allotted than good on you, this one is a bit tough.

Weve been to multiple escape rooms but by far this is our favorite, absolutely incredible experience unlike any other, worth the price!

First time to one of these. Host was excellent and the puzzle was difficult. We escaped with 47 seconds to spare.

Absolutely awesome experience. It was my first time doing anything like this, and I had the time of my life. Even though we couldnt escape, I still had a blast. Cant recommend this place enough for anybody who likes puzzles and challenges. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and I hope they expand their selections of rooms so I can try a new one soon!!

Awesome time! Well worth the cost. Such a fun time to spend with friends and family. They still have some small kinks to work through because they are brand new, but this experience was top notch!

Over all exerience: I went with my party (of three, all of us adults) and was partnered with a mother and her two children. I have done escape rooms before so I understand Ill have to work with others. But fair warning age limits be damned. The youngest child was 6. He ran around the room, yelled, and sucked the fun out of the room for me. In my opinion he shouldnt have been allowed into the room at his age for the consideration of the rest of us.The story: I liked the concept, a rich man dies and you have to solve his puzzles to get the money. As a broke college kid I can understand the money despiration. I could spoil it but whats the fun in that.The room itself: the puzzles were a easy-medium level. It was the length that gets me. This room, compared to others, seemed very short and remained in the same space the whole time. It would have been more elaborate. Asp the props were very standard in my opinion Ive seen places that put in sand, more extravagant lighting, more and higher quality props and puzzles. This is a very standard escape room.... I went into it with higher standards.Recoomendation: for anyone living in Boone its a one time, good time I guess. If you have nothing else to do they have a student discount. You can reserve online.However for experienced escapies there are more elaborate setups to visit. Exit strategy in Charlotte is one of my favorites and I would much prefer to visit more of there rooms.
