It is just way too expensive to go to the movies! By the time you buy your ticket and snacks, you have spent a good $40! They have a very good selection of movies but I usually wait until the movies I want to see come out on DVD and buy them- much cheaper and I can watch them as many times as I please and eat whatever I want for way less money...

I don’t think this theatre updates its speakers and projectors.1) screen was dull. There is hardly any contrast in the picture.2) sound is flat and low. If there is any noise in the cinema, you will have hard time hearing the sound.3) Infrastructure is not on par. Seats felt outdated and i i felt like i am in a theatre which belings to 90’s era.I watched avengers endgame. I should have watched this movie in a better place. This particular amc is outdated in terms of technology and infrastructure

Clean, good popcorn. I wish they had more options for food or some shows that are available on the west side and not here. We went for Frozen II but nothing outside to take pictures with (as a memory it would be nice to take a picture specially if your daughter is so excited and put her dress on)

Just got done watching Knives Out at the AMC 11. The movie theater was extremely cold the whole movie. I have never been to a movie that was like that. I had to keep my full length winter coat on the entire time. It was probably the worst movie experience I’ve had. Luckily the movie was good. Very disappointed I spent money here.

Worse AMC i have ever been to. Staff is excellent but the place is disgusting. Everything is old and sticky. All the games are broken.The theater walls are literally peeling! Bathroom reminds me of an old truckstop bathroom. All thats missing is the condom machine.. Will never ever go back.

Theyve taken to selling tickets at the concession. Now you get to wait for everyone to get their snacks before you can get your ticket. Good job AMC! Pro tip: Add an extra 1/2 hour so you wont miss the start of your movie.

Credit card machine was down when we visited, luckily my friends had cash to cover my ticket and drink. Floors in the theatre were very dirty, as was the bathroom. Seats are moderately comfortable but generally not the best place to see a movie. Screens are quite small but they have those Coca-Cola machines that give you all the different flavors so still a three star in my opinion

The seating arrangement/position relative to the screen is awkward. The seats themselves are uncomfortable. It’s always way colder than it needs to be in there.It’s a good theater to go to if you enjoy suffering while watching your movie.

Theater was freezing cold. We were there to watch Frozen 2, not to be frozen too. Front bathrooms were closed. For as much as a movie costs you would think they could keep the place in better shape.

Today I arrived 20 minutes before the movie. NO one was working the ticket counter, and patrons were forced to wait in the concessions line in order to purchase tickets. Many of us were not purchasing food, I waited and there were at least 20 people in front of me waiting to purchase food. The line barely moved. I asked the concession girl about purchasing a ticket, and she replied, “You have to wait in the concession line...I’m making hotdogs.” Really, my movie had already started, so I left along with several other customers. Do patrons need to line up two hours ahead? One older woman needed a seat from waiting so long. MOVIE TICKETS should ALWAYS be available shortly before the movie. Show Place 11 is not a fast food joint, but that was today’s priority, and it was by no means quick for anyone!

This is a decent movie theater. It is a bit outdated but we enjoyed the movie with no problems. It was reasonably priced as well.

As it says, its a Classic AMC and the old place is bit too old. It only offers normal and 3D options and seating is not satisfactory. Some are broken and of course uncomfortable. Sadly only proper option for a mainstream movie in Bloomington. An upgrade should be well on the way!

This theater is horrible, absolutely horrible. I have never been to a worse theater, and I’m not exaggerating. The warning sign was the unlit parking lot and unlit AMC sign that greeted my date and I for our late night movie showing. Inside, the theater room was very cold, despite the outdoor temperature being close to 50 degrees that night. The volume for the movie was low for some reason, and furthermore an annoying, large fan was blowing in the back of the theater throughout the movie. Plus, one of their drinking fountains does not work. Everything seemed so run-down and carelessly managed here.Avoid this theater by all means if you would actually desire to watch and enjoy your movie. Just go to AMC 12 always. There’s no comparison.

Much better than my last visit. Restrooms were cleaner, it seemed better staffed and we had adequate heat in our theater. Staff is always friendly film and sound were very good. A nice improvement. Keep it up!.

I usually drive to the west side of town to see movies. They keep the lights dimly lit in the theater throughout the movie... Why? I do appreciate they take recommendations for Hindi and Mandarin films.

Saw The Rise of Skywalker last night. The theater was not running heat so watching the entire film was an endurance test as we had to pull our arms inside of our jackets and shirts to struggle to stay warm. After the film ended we saw that they had put a personal space heater in the corner so that was pretty funny. Shrugged the whole thing off. Despite the floors with years of grime caked around the base of the chairs, the out-of-order bathrooms, and temperatures inadequate to sustain life, the film was great. After leaving the theater and driving the distance of walnut I realized I had left my belt rolled up in a cupholder. So I call them up to see if I could quickly double back and retrieve it. No, they cant let us in the theater. Could, they look for it? I know exactly where it is. They claimed to look for it but couldnt find it. They tell me theyll call me if they find it so I can come retrieve it tomorrow during business hours. No call back. Was a simple courtesy to extend to someone who just paid to sit in nearly freezing temperatures for two hours. If you dont mind being subjected to an environment of utter apathy this is a great theater to attend but Im more than glad to make the drive to Indy to sit in the cushioned recliners in a clean, heated theater.

When I purchase tickets online I expect to be able to skip the line which was why I did it to begin with, not be forced into a twenty minute line, big fat fail. It you go to showplace 11 be prepared for a wait.

Save your time and money. You can tell the owner doesnt care about this place. Fabric shredded on the walls, understaffed, no heat in the winter, manager doesnt even know whats going on, tried to take advantage of an AMC banner promotion and they didnt know what to do. You cant pay me to go back here to be honest.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have a babysitter for a few hours and thought it would be nice to go see a movie together for the first time since our son was born. After paying around $20, we enter the theater. The room is freezing, like colder than it was outside, and it was in the 50s and rainy that day. The smell was unbearable, a mixture of mold and feces. At least five of the seats in the theater were broken. I turned on my flashlight on my phone when we entered the theater and were trying to find seats, and the ground was covered in trash and unsightly spills. I had to pee and held it the entire movie because the bathroom looked so disgusting and smelled even worse. My husband and I sat through the movie, both covering up our noses and mouths so we didnt feel nauseous from the smell, and huddled together to keep warm. After we left, I told him that I wouldnt have gone and done that again if I was paid to. TL;DR: This movie theater is trash. Apparently there are no good theaters in Bloomington anymore. Go to the Starlite Drive-in if you can.

Expensive $$$$! Dilapidated building. Dirty. Broken theater seats in #2, restrooms out of order. They wouldnt pop fresh popcorn even though the bags were from the matinee shows earlier in the day. I ordered a hot dog, she said 30 minutes wait so I agreed. It was cold inside and the bun was still frozen! She said it was warm. Seriously? Never again. Avoiding this theater at all cost.

Went to watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the theatre had no heat and the bathrooms in the lobby were out of order as well. I would not recommend this theatre to anyone.

AMC 11 had quite rubbish staff. They left food all over there floor right after they said they cleaned it. This is a pretty bold statement but, I can confidently say that AMC 11 is one of the dirtiest theater in the franchise. I walked into the so called “just cleaned” theater and there is a drink with no top on right in the hallway you walk to too get in to the theater. The you walk into that actual seating and there was popcorn everywhere. Then it’s like their AC doesn’t work cause it was a solid 64 in there. If you decide to go you might wanna bring a sweatshirt. Anyway I have nothing against them I just expected more from an AMC theater they have always been better in the past but I don’t recommend AMC 11.

It really needs renovation. In the 7 years weve been here, its getting worse. Dingy is the word that summarizes the experience. Seats are not comfortable. AMC 12 is better. Only advantage is that this is on the east side of town. They do make an effort to show Mandarin and Hindi films.

A girl in the stall next to me got locked in her stall. She called her date, who went up to the desk to explain the situation. Instead of sending, i dont know- the manager?!, they explained to HIM how jiggle the handle and pull up on the stall door. He had to come in there and help her! Humiliating for both of them. One star. Put a sign on your broken door!

This place needs a renovation. Looks old and outdated. The seats are old and killed my back. Almost $7 for a fountain drink is ridiculous even for a movie theater. Kerasotes needs to spend some money on this place and get the power recliners and power wash the entire place top to bottom

The theater itself was nice, but the parking lot was horrendous. There were potholes big enough to swallow small cars out there. Thats a bit of an exaggeration, but the parking lot there really is awful. If the parking lot werent so scary, Id rate 5 starts, but it was seriously ridiculous.

We went to Showplace 11 because of the sold out tickets for the Avengers movie and #12. Ten minutes in the the show the temperature in the theater was unbearable, I leave to ask someone to do something about it.... the girl I talked to said that the reason it was hot was because there were so many people ... uh ok? But that she would see if they could do something about. 30 minutes later my daughters cheeks were beet red, we couldnt take it no more. When we went to ask for our money back the manager said the AC was down! So why are they not tell ppl that.... why when I complained the first time, I got some B.S about too many people?Theres enough business in Bloomington that its time, well PAST TIME they completely remodeled Showplace 11, out shut it down all together. Its disgusting!

Terrible customer service to start with, and the popcorn was cold. Soda was flat, and Im fairly certain the floors werent swept. Bathrooms had a cockroach issue. Movie had stuttering issues and the audio was laggy.

Last time I was hear, I puked from the stench. Lets say I havent been back in years. The other theater crosstown is palace in comparison (and it would be considered a dump in most cities, nowadays).

We went on a Monday night so not very many people were there. Service was a little slow, they obviously didnt have as many staff as usual. Overall though a good experience, I would highly recommend.

This AMC is a good place to go to see a movie, but the one on the other side of town is better; this AMC is just older, worn out seats with a musty smell, and a dirty movie screen. But overall it is a standard trip to the movies, so if youre movie is only showing here, its not a bad option!

Got tickets online at 330pm for endgame for 8pm on 4/26/2019. Got here and every seat is taken. The worker claims they say they are sold out when they have 20 seats left. I dont believe this since there are about 8 broken seats. And about 6 ppl standing/sitting on the ground in back of theater. Me and my wife that got tickets hours ago are 2 of them ppl.

It was so cold in the theater room. When we asked if anything could be done they said they could not do anything. It was so cold my husband had to go get something to keep himself worm. Everything was old and broke down.

Theatre is old. No new seats, heat barely works, and be ready to see a mouse or two during your visit.

Biggest issue: there was no A/c in the theatre. It was absolutely miserable, multiple complaints throughout the movie and zero was done to fix it. Theatre is dated. Also, had to wait for popcorn to be popped, no ice for soda, and almost all soda choices were completely unavailable. Go anywhere else or don’t go to the movies.

Another big movie theater. The theater is old, and you can tell that. It is an AMC center so i would highly recommend becoming at least a free stubs member. There prices are a bit high, but maybe not for a movie theater. The seats are not comfortable, Definitely need a remodel. Recommend going to AMC Showplace 12 on the other side of town if you can. Much more comfortable, and pleasant experience.

The building is falling apart, smells of mold, really isnt a good movie watching environment. You should invest in your facility before it falls down.

Great experience... No hassle. A lot of seats in our theater had white covers on them saying not to use (???) Thank goodness it was a light crowd.

UPDATE: Our tickets were refunded plus we got movie passes for a future movie.I upped my stars from 2 to 4 because of excellent cutomer service!!There was only ONE employee in the entire bldg.We had to get our tickets at the concession stand, and the poor one guy there was also having to get food/drinks too.The line was out the door. There wasnt even anyone taking tickets to the theaters.Since the movie didnt start on time, it was disclosed an HOUR LATER that is wasnt going to start at all. Any where from 5 more mins (4 different times) down load issues due to not starting on time, or technical computer issues.I do give props to the one guy who was trying VERY HARD, the second star was for his effort only.

My fav movie theater in Bloomington. Wouldve been nice for them to upgrade this theater when AMC upgraded lots of other ones. We already have one AMC CLASSIC In town, if they would put money into this theatre I believe it would generate way more money.

This medium sized theater is a few years old so its not in top quality but everything is functional and the management was very helpful when we had some loud teenagers talking through the movie. The kids were even allowed to stay as long as they changed their volume. The price of popcorn and drinks is a little high but that seems to be normal so its a Good, Standard theater.

This theater is disgusting. A deep clean of the entire place is required. The Tivoli in Spencer is the place to go.

We didnt realize the doors locked at 1015 for a movie that started at 1030, so walking up to locked doors was disheartening. The guy did end up letting us in, which he probably didnt have to do. Next, he couldnt take cash because they already cashed out his drawer. Finally I convinced him to just let me pay with a $20 bill for the $18 tickets and I didnt want change, which was nice that he did that for me. Would be 5 stars if the arm rests lifted up like the west side AMC.

We do our best to avoid this theater if at all possible however today was not one of those days. We wanted to see Alice Through The Looking Glass and of course Showplace 12 is not showing it. The seating is NOT comfortable whatsoever despite what some reviews might have to say. This was the LEAST of what was uncomfortable about our visit today though. It was hotter than Hades outside AND inside! it was a very uncomfortable experience. Also it seems rather odd to have to stand in line to wait for two cups that you have to go stand in ANOTHER line to fill up yourself! and yet they still charge dearly for them. AMAZING! Yes the staff is friendly enough,well I should hope so! Our advice is as mentioned above; avoid this theater if it is possible. Please upgrade the place with better(more comfortable seating like Showplace 12). This location has been the same for over 20 years now, its time. Another thing before anyone smarts off we dont have mind having to get our own drinks it was just the idea of waiting in line for two cups only to have to stand in another line to get the drinks. That just seemed ridiculous.

Theres mold in AMC 11. I went to room 5 to watch Book Smart and it smelled horrible.

Accepts Movie Pass. Some of the seats rock almost like a glider. Tends to show more of the artsy prestige movies. Also shows some of the big blockbusters. Limited in show times, with the last showing starting around 7pm on weeknights. Definitely dated but nothing so bad to say I wouldnt go here. Honestly the biggest bummer for me was I couldnt move the armrest to stretch out a bit.Overall a good little theater.

Theaters smell like mold and urine. I find it very hard to breathe in there. The bathrooms are extremely run down and not well cared for. There is peeling paint on the stalls and the paper towel dispenser doesnt work. The newest thing in the building are the soda machines.I love going to the movies but not to a place I feel like I need a hazmat suit and a respirator! If the movie industry is wondering why attendance has fallen off take a look at the theater. Sorry AMC, this theater looks nothing like the one in the promo before the film!

They dont have handicap accessible doors. And there are two set of doors to get inside. Walking with someone in a wheelchair is that much more difficult because its hard enough to hold one door open and push a wheelchair through, but here we have to some how hold two doors open simultaneously and get the individual through.

Clean and efficient, but lacks solid personality. Staff are nice and seem to genuinely want to maximize our experience. But the prices are too high, just like all theaters. Good mix of films, not just the big blockbusters.

As soon as I walked into the theater I smelled pee. Moved to the other side of the theater to get away from the smell but it was making the entire room reek. Left before the the movie even started it was that bad. On top of that, the popcorn was stale.

The theater isnt bad, but for the ticket price I expected better.

Although the facilities have been greatly improved in the last five years (there used to be technical failures during the projection of movies and once we had the audience directed to a room while the movie was showing in a different one), it remains a mediocre option for the movie going community in Bloomington. The seats are moderately comfortable and the arrangement is old-school (that is minimum elevation between rows). The sound system is serviceable but far from having a modern setup. Overall, whenever there is a movie I really want to see, I tend to go to the AMC in the West Side.

Its a great theater, but not as good as AMC 12. Dated a bit, and empty a lot, but its sanitary and you can still watch a movie for a great price!

This location appears older than the AMC 12 but it has more comfortable chairs. The theater rooms are smaller but unless it is release night, I like that fact because there are usually less people in the rooms.

I have been going to AMC 11 for decades. Its a good theater but not great. First movie I saw at this theater was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It was built about 7 years before tiered seating became popular. So, the design is a little outdated now. That being said the staff was very friendly, the theater is clean, and the 3D movie played with no problems.

Awful. Broken seats littered the theatre; I sat in one and it collapsed into the ground at which point I noticed four more just in that row that were similarly unusable. Oh, and then theres the pervasive smell of feces. The second (and final) time I went there, the theatre decided to change its schedule of movies without publicizing the changes online so a bunch of us wasted our time driving over when nothing that AMCs own website said was playing was actually playing. This place is a disaster!

I love leaving great reviews for places that deserve it, but unfortunately this isnt the case here. The staff was friendly, but the place was very gross. The bathrooms were filthy and one of the most poorly maintained bathrooms I have been to in awhile. Disappointed.

The somewhat dated facade is an accurate description of this location from within as well. The screens are not particularly extravagant but they do the job as with the majority of theatres in the area. Unfortunately, I cannot say that the popcorn here is spectacular. Come here if you want to see a movie, dont come here if you want to eat popcorn for dinner.
