Best movie theater in Bloomington. Clean with courteous staff.

Good selection of movies, friendly staff, and I really like the deco design of this place.

Went to see Rise of Skywalker with my wee lassie and a friend who paid for us. Always enjoy going here to see movies. Place was clean, no sticky floors at least in the aisle where we sat. Staff is friendly, too. Great night out!

So I gave this movie theater a 3 Those who have given this movie theater a 4 or 5 probably have not seen the better AMC . I know for sure this AMC 12 or 11 in Bloomington Indiana would have way more customers then they do now if they were like the AMC theater in Indianapolis Indiana 17. I am not sure why the city of Bloomington dont have nice things. Even currently as they are building stuff it seems like they building structures any place they can find space even if it doesnt go with anything. Its really a dispointing a town whose taking so much money from students and charging so much tax on everything cant even give us a decent movie theater to go to.

First release on Thursday.Good selection for kids in one movie and adults in another. Great tween theatre. Refreshments sales are what fund the staff budget so it’s supporting young adult jobs to buy goodies there. Customers are generally respectful of open areas and rest rooms. I’ve seen and appreciate people cleaning up after themselves and leaving spaces a little bit better than how they found them. To be expected in B-town. It’s a pretty caring community.

Good customer service and clean rooms. Popcorn and sodas were good as well. This location has more movie options in town and they are available for longer as well.

Clean, cheap on Tuesdays $5 ticket days, this theater has done a lot to improve the cleanliness over the past couple of years. The staff are courteous and helpful as well.

Not very busy so there was plenty of seating.

Desperately needs renovated. The furnishings were mediocre 10 years ago; now they’re just gross. Little back support. Theaters are often hot and humid. Often only 1 register open at concessions out of ~10. Sadly the other theater in Bloomington is even worse. If you can see your movie in any other town, I recommend it.

Movie theater is clean and staff is friendly the theater screen size is quite large much better than AMC11

The theater itself is fine. Good seats and sound. The issue is they always seem to be short staffed. Im already overpaying for snacks,the least they could do is have enough people to serve them. Movies and snacks are comically overpriced to begin with. At least Soften the blow a little by having better service.

Its decently clean and the speakers are better than the East side theatre but they are very overpriced unless you go on Tuesdays

The theater is pretty okay. Screens are nice and the sound is good. But its dirty. The seats are always dirty. But if you get there after the lights are down I guess it doesnt matter.

Listen... Its better than amc 11 across town for a movie experience. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. Still. It just feels like amc doesnt care about updating either theater into the 21st century since they own both and where else are you going to go?

This is the best theater in town. Now with that said theres only two options. Both are owned by the same company but this one is a bit newer. Still pricey and no frills.

My wife and I saw a movie on a tuesday. The theater has a special 5 dollar tickets on that day. There are 12 individual theaters. The one we had was one of the small ones. The seats are comfortable and the arm rests can be raised. We like that feature. We lift the one between us and put the popcorn there and share it. The concessions prices are high as most theaters, but for 32 dollars its still a bargain

Line moves quickly even though theyre usually busy. Large theaters with comfortable seats, usually a bit cold. Could use a deep clean but its understandable due to the amount of people that go there. Its pretty dated and could use some upgrades.

Love $5 Tuesdays for our large family any day! But specifically today - we went in the midst of Thanksgiving break to see Frozen 2, with just about every other family in Monroe county, I guess. The theater was full! Unfortunately, as happens in the real world, there were technical difficulties and they couldnt show the movie. The staff kicked into high gear and handled what had to be an extremely stressful situation with grace and efficiency. Each and every family was allowed to get new tickets to see any other showing, today, or any other day, even if that new showing was more expensive that what theyd initially paid for. Since my husband has to work this afternoon and the rest of the week, and this was literally our only option for all of us seeing it together, they allowed our family of 12 to see it in 3-D. Very impressed!

Displaced desperately needs a complete makeover. And I know tons of people who have said the same thing. For the price of $10 a movie and how busy they are on the weekend theres no excuse for them not gutting that whole building and just restarting

Fine movie theater. The nicest theater in Bloomington but thats more because the other one is very below average. Not a good system if you purchase tickets online, you just have to kind of walk through the sales area.

Fresh popcorn, reasonably priced tickets for a Saturday night. About $39 for 4 adults to watch a movie. Expected to spend about $15 more than we did. Major perk is the fact that its always rather clean, even at the busy points between movie traffic! Would absolutely reccomend.ONLY downfall is the seats are just a little too small/together for my liking. Im a very small person. So, Im sure this is a real issue for some. Audio was pretty great! Need to tune the bass up a bit & its have been PERFECT!aside from those two minor things, it was an excellent experience, as usual!

Wild cherry slushy out of order. My favorite coke products empty. Seats were fabric yet trailer showed leather. My soft pretzel was $14.99. I REPEAT $14.99

Everythings great, except: Concessions guys wear gloves to prepare food...and handle money...and everything else. Guy doing floors in lobby in gloves. Another guy entered concession area already wearing gloves. Do they go from job to job in the same pair? There is a girl at concessions who wears gloves for food prep and not for money, then gets a new pair for more food prep. Make her manager!

Its a mediocre AMC not quite worth the ticket price but also not a complete dump. I prefer AMCs with a bar in them and the leather reclining seats. Thankfully these standard theatre seats did have an armrest that could be put up to make cuddling more accessible.

Friendly, helpful, and very professional staff. Price discounts for seniors and on during the day on Sundays until a certain time. Always has the latest movies. Only complaint would be that they maybe need to clean the seats. Theyre very stained.

I love everything about this movie theater except the price of the Concessions. They are ridiculously priced! Im not exactly sure why?? The theater is clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are clean. I enjoy going to this theater and I wish I could enjoy reasonably priced concessions.

People would like this place more if they just cleaned their seats and floors more frequently.

Good number of friendly and efficient staff. Clean and well maintained. One odd note, they blocked 75% of the trash cans making you hunt for an open one in the lobby.

Theres a weird smell in a lot of the theaters, seats are stained and broken. Its not as bad as the AMC across town, but its getting there.

The staff is always great when I come in! Very clean seats and the concessions are delicious. Only problem I have is that the concessions are very very high! Obviously most movie theaters are but this is kind of ridiculous here.But I still come in so they got me!

Customer service is usually good. Of course the prices are always high, but you expect that. The cleanliness though is lacking. Many of the seats are stained with I dont know what. Sometimes I have to search for a seat that looks decent enough to sit in. Can they not hire someone to come in one night and clean the seats? It would make for a better experience for the customers.

Snack bar is insanely expensive. $16 for some soft pretzel bites. $25 for a pretzel and large soda. Bring your own snacks if you dont want to spend your life savings. Otherwise a pretty good place. Seats are comfy, and the place is usually clean.

This place is remarkably outdated and dirty. The seats are dirty and gross. Seriously- turn on your phones light and take a look. Theres a reason they keep the lights low. This place hasnt seen any kind of upgrade or up keep in a very, very long time. People leaving four or five stars cause the food was okay or the lines were fast have some impressively low standards. Good lord what a dump.

Took my son on his birthday to see the new Hotel Transylvania & it was extremely busy but we got through the lines quickly & the movie was awesome. Its always clean & prices are reasonable. Plus the seats are amazing.

Upside is friendly staff and good location. Could use a deep cleaning and probably time to start updating the joint.

The theater is nicely kept. The concession stand is okay. They do have the Coca Cola dispenser machine where you can get many flavor drinks, but not Dr. Pepper. Plus they dont have the flavor seasoning for your popcorn. I think I was spoiled at our last house in St. Louis area the theater had many popcorn flavors to choose from. Thats why I only gave it a 4 star.

They have large rooms and great concessions. The bathrooms are usually pretty messy but other than that, its a nice facility. Theater rooms probably could use an upgrade. Chairs are not that comfortable. Overall, a good place to see a movie.

Wow has it gone down hill. Always understaffed, in the last two months they have been out of water, select.sodas, some candies.

Its the better theater in town but its geting quite run down. The seats are stained, the carpets too, and all the staff all seem quite blue. This theater has lost its shine, but still the seating is sublime.

Dirty, over-priced ($9 for a ticket?!!), pretty sure there was mold growing all around the top of the theater we were in...in addition to the signs on the entry doors stating it was likely to be cold inside. This theater, like the AMC in Columbus, needs some MAJOR attention.

Its not bad, but its not ok. They keep on raising the prices so the only day someone gets a decent deal is on Tuesdays and even then its pretty expensive. So its a decent enough place.

This AMC theatre might be more disgusting than the NYC subway. The seats clearly have years upon years of dirt and grime built up on the fabric with the nice touch of random hair hanging all over. Had I not just spent $100 on tickets I would’ve have walked my family right back out. We come to the movies every Christmas like many other families. I am more than willing to spend a couple hundred bucks for my family to have a good time but I expect a CLEAN and SANITARY movie viewing experience in return. We will not be coming back. The employees behind the counters were delightful for what it’s worth.

It is the best in town, but there are only two.Much more pleasant to drive to Greenwood.The cloth seats are filthy. ATTENTION! There are companies that clean upholstery.Concessions are expensive. After the lights go down there are people digging out the food and drinks they smuggled in to a movie. Cant blamethem.Staff is always friendly and helpful.

Are they ever going to update these theatres? They would probably get more customers if their seats were less like sitting on cement blocks and more like sitting in an actual chair. I do have to the staff has always been polite though.

I was extremely disappointed by the absurd behavior of the staff. Went to see an R-rated film (The Prodigy) with three friends. All of us are 17 or older, but one of my friends did not have her drivers license with her to prove it. She had her college ID, however it didnt show her birthday. So, our friend was told that she had to have a document that proved her birth and ID. So she calls her mom and asks her to send her BIRTH CERTIFICATE. She proceeds to show this to the workers, who tell her that it needs to be a physical document; this was NOT said prior. With no other options, my friends were forced to ask a kind lady in the theater to buy a ticket for our friend, because we needed an adult 21 or over to buy for a minor. This kind lady buys the ticket with money that we gave her. Upon approaching the counter, the worker harasses her with questions: Are you her mother? Really, are you her mother? Be honest. I will add that there was NO sign indicating that the buyer had to be a relative. Anyway, after being harassed, the lady was finally able to buy the ticket for our friend. We will definitely not be returning to this theater again. The staff is ridiculous, rude, and doesnt even fully understand their own policies.

Well we got ran out along with everyone else, because the fire alarm went off . But thankfully they gave us all free passes to make up for it . Thank You AMC for being considerate of our time .

Our theatre experienced several difficulties at the start but was quickly fixed. They then even gave us all free passes for a movie of our choice for our next visit!

I wear double hearing aids and I always have to turn them down to the lowest setting because of the volume of the theater so I decided to check the decibels in the theater.We watched Shazam and my decibel reader said from 72.4 to 92.6 decibels.My hearing aids will click down two times at 82 decibels.I dont think that its necessary to have the volume up that high.
