Love the remodel. Very cozy, really random but great variety of food and snacks, chairs are comfy. Really missed having a theater at MoA and glad they came back so strong with this place, its a great theater experience.

We went to see Invisible Man. We came to late. But instead of turning us away. They recommended another movie. We went to see Birds of prey. We couldnt sit next to one another. But it was the thought that counts. The bartender there was such a sweetheart. I also liked the set up in general. Id come back.

Ive seen a couple of films here, pretty nice theater.

The movie going experience has changed drastically over the last couple of years. From building sized screens, to extra comfortable seating, and restaurant quality food and service. This theater tries its very hardest to provide these experiences and fails drastically. It markets the concept of exceptional food choices but fails in providing only very few options at lackluster quality flavor but a huge markup in price. The next item they try pulling customers in for is the movie viewing experience. The screen size and quality are comparable to most other theaters and their version of reclined comfortable seating misses the mark. On to of that, the tables to place your way over priced food items and drinks is way too small. I ended up eating this a 2 only because they at least still had the Tuesday $5 ticket deal that other theaters also promote. Overall, I would just simply avoid spending the extra money here and go to another local theater.

When you think of going to a movie and the experience you are going to have while there, is not what you are going to get when you come here. Thats a good thing. The food is unlike any food I have had at a theater. I have had almost everything on the menu and nothing has been disappointing. It has all been surprisingly past my expectations. They have a full kitchen like any sit-down restaurant would. New York style pizza, high quality burgers and shakes. their shakes are some of the best I have had. They also have a verity of popcorn to choose from other than just plain. They have 13 screens all with reclining chairs. The reclining chairs have been around for a while in other theaters, however these ones also have tables to place your food and drinks. The middle armrest can be lifted so you can sit even closer to your significant other. The staff are all super helpful and you are always greeted with a smile. I don’t know why I would go to another theater when the cost is the same and the food wouldn’t be as good. When I go to the movies now, it will be here at CMX.

I stopped by the Mall of America during a one night stay nearby. The place is truly huge! the scale is just something we are not familiar with in the UK. I mean, there is a theme park in the middle of it. There are stores for pretty much anything and everything you can possibly imagine. Dining establishments for every possible taste, and yet even on a Saturday it did not feel crowded which was really quite refreshing. It is definitely worth a visit for the experience. many nearby hotels provide a shuttle bus to and from the Mall of America for convenience.

Lets start with $5 for a movie ticket... Im pretty sure the last time I saw a first run, just released, big screen moving picture with color and sound and the whole works, for an evening showing price of less than $7.50 was at least 30 years ago. And Im not talking New York or LA prices, Im talking Louisville, Richmond, Charlotte, Nashville, Dayton, Houston, Phoenix, whatever. Again, this was not a matinee hour discount, old folks early bird showing, or anything special.The fact that the theater was clean and comfortable (though Im surprised the seats werent slightly more suited to my 62 200 lb. frame, not big at all by Minnesota standards, even for their women) with excellent sound and good sight lines was almost as surprising as the price.We didnt sample the food, choosing instead to eat elsewhere while waiting for the next show, so I cant comment on the food offerings. But if $5 for a movie ticket sounds like a deal, you wont go wrong here.

My husband and I were on vacation to see a Vikings game and decided to go see a movie before flying home the next day. Glad we did. Fabulous cinema complex at the Mall of America. Clean roomy seats that recline. Large screen . Go watch a block buster movie there. Enjoy.

This was my first time at the theater in the Mall of America because another theater wasnt playing the movie they advertised, but it was worth giving CMX a try. The movie itself was relatively inexpensive and the theaters were very comfortable as they had full recliners! The popcorn and foos (like most movie theaters) was very pricey which is why I will give it four stars. They do serve alcohol there as well, if you want to enjoy a drink while you watch your movie. I would definitely see a movie here again and do recommend it!

Color me impressed. The previous theater that was here wouldnt even show a Star Wars movie, a sure sign of a failing theater.The slate was wiped clean, and a much better theater emerged. Comfy reclining seats, and oh, theres a grocery store there. The prices are very reasonable, and theres a great variety if you want to go beyond popcorn.Comlpaints of theaters of yesteryear have been answered, and have stepped up to a much better experience.

Nice comfy seats with recline, spacious. Full bar, full concession with pizza burgers treats. Friendly staff, nice sound and picture. Well go back! Decent pricing for matinees

I hadnt been here in two decades, when before I would come every weekend. I felt like I was coming home. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean and sanitized. And when leaving, I was presented with a chocolate, I felt elegant. Their popcorn baskets are too small though

I’d like to share that the remodel is stunning and comfortable. The reason for the 3 stars would be the food. This would be my second time coming here and the nachos are not good. The first time I figured it was a bad batch of cheese. This time the cheese is the same, although we requested a queso instead of the cheese that they typically use. It was cold and the texture was too thick. While checking out at the register, another gentlemen approached and asked if he could return his nachos and get something else. For the price, please re-evaluate this food item and improve it; Including the meat. We add chicken with ours and it was cold. The popcorn isn’t great either, it’s whether stale.

There is the pick your seats, there are the reclining loungers, there is a bar for adult beverages. This is common in theaters now. BUT what is new in this theater complex is the snack area! It is like a convenience storeOur favorite candies displayed on tables. You can select whatever you want. Cooler area with salads ?! Pizza is also available. You can buy single bags of chips...sun chips, potato chips, etc. Popcorn is offered in cheese, carmel corn and butter.You pay a cashier for your selections upon leaving the area. Prices are a bit higher, but it is a very enhanced snack area. Check it out.When I walked out of my movie, a nice young man was at the doorway with a box of Andes mints offering them to everyone. What a nice touch !

Went to see the new Terminator. I love the recliner seats and the friendly employees. The temperature matches the atmosphere welcoming warm and cozy. Plus the movie was excellent. Cant go wrong with $5.40 Tuesdays either!

The new upgrades are great! Seating is comfortable the tray is helpful onlyconfusion I had was how to work the food and drinks area. But after your first time you got it down.

At $17 a ticket and reserved seats, I was expecting something special. The seats recline but if you do recline, you have to strain your neck to see the screen. I wanted to use the footrest but it only comes out when the backrest is in a position that you cant see the screen. Whoever picked the seats out never tried sitting in them to watch a movie.The people sitting in our reserved seats said they were only in our seats because someone else had already taken their seats. The people sitting in their seats said they didnt like their own seats and maybe we should pick other seats. Management said there were plenty of empty seats so we should just pick other seats. So, another theater that forces you to reserve seats but doesnt enforce it.As far as the theater itself, Ive got friends with better sound systems. Next time Ill wait 2 more weeks and watch the movie on Netflix at home where my 60 screen and surround sound can challenge their theater experience with better recliners and more enjoyable seating position.

Really in to the new design! Very date night oriented, with every set of two seats convertible to a kind of love seat, lots of different snacks and dinner food available, as well as a full bar. Much fewer but much nicer seats, it reminds me of videos of seen of theaters in South Korea.

This new theater is great. The food was good, we had a salad & pizza. The wine selection was diverse and tasty.

I haven’t been here in years..... before it was a CMX. I was instantly confused when I walked in, thinking I had walked into a grocery store with a bar. This place is amazing! They have a full service bar and market for food and snack purchases. I was impressed with everything from the minute I walked through the doors. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were decent. I didn’t purchase food, but they had everything you could possibly need!I walked into the theater and was still impressed. The seating was recliner style and generous. They had handy little tables for food and drinks.This has become my new go-to movie place.

This was my first time here, went to see John Wick 3, and I absolutely loved. The chairs were comfortable and well spaced. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The options for snacks was immense! I loved the different kinds of food and goodies available. Definitely will be back here when I come back to Minneapolis!

Never had a bad time here even before they remodeled the place. If you like movies & want to see the latest release or come here on a date this is the place to be

The movie prices are fine, but everything there is ridiculously overpriced. Yeah I get it, thats the point of a theater business model, but its almost double what youd pay at most theaters. $7-8 for a candy bar? $8.50 for an angry orchard 12 oz cider? Thats like a $2-3 beer at any other bar. The seats are nice though. Id say go for a movie but dont plan on eating or drinking here.

Very nice place to see a movie. My only suggestion is if you plan on seeing a movie during the weekend get your tickets early. I have gone there a couple times only to find out that the movie I wanted to see was sold out

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Dirty, uncomfortable, rude. This was the worst movie theater I have ever been to, when we got to our seats there was popcorn and crumbs on the seats, trays, and armrests...which means that no one actually cleaned the seats in between the movies! We had to brush the seats off ourselves, then when we sat down my moms seat was actually broken and you slid to the left side. The reclining seats were very uncomfortable to sit in for 1 1/2hr. Also the staff was very unfriendly, there was 3 of them standing by the entrance when we walked in! WHAT THE HECK GUYS!!! Stop standing around and actually keep your theaters clean!! The movie was great but don’t waste your time watching it here :(

The newly renovated theaters here are very nice! nice big lounge chairs that recline, tabletops for your stuff to sit while you watch the movie. Great little bar at the front of the theater and of course you have the great concessions stands with all your favorites! They did a good job renovating!!

Very nice theater. They do some things differently than other theaters, but mostly all good. To get to it, you have to walk down some fairly narrow hallways, but there is signage directing the way. The concessions are laid out like a food court, which is definitely different, but at least you arent stuck behind someone waiting for pizza, so you can buy your popcorn and drink. There is a central cashier / cup dispenser. The auditoriums are spacious. The screen in ours was not super large, but we definitely had the experience of seeing a film in the theater. When we left, they gave us an Andes mint. Good times.

We had some issues with our tickets, but the manager was great and helped us make it in to the movie just as it was starting. The reclining seats were ok, but a little off (when my feet were where they were most comfortable my head was too far back and when my head was in a good position my feet/legs werent). Have not had this issue in other theaters.

Best movie experience ever watching The Goldfinch, practically had the theater to ourselves, comfiest chairs ever. Reasonable price. Great movie BTW

It is new and well maintained. It has many studios. They are quite comfortable. Reclining seats, Cup holders, Front row seating. Etc. Very reasonably priced, even on the weekend. Nice Family Environment.

Modern theater with comfortable recliner seats. Great picture with incredible audio provides a great movie going experience. Now the bad. Their snacks are priced highway robbery high. 5.75 for a box of Mike & Ikes, Walgreens has them 4 for 4 dollars. 7.00 for a Rockstar, Hy-Vee has them 4 for 5 dollars. I get mark up and they need to make money, but just shove a gun in my face and rob me, it would be more exciting. Don’t insult me with high prices. Did I sneak in my own snacks ?? No one will ever no....

An unexpectedly beautiful movie theater. The theatres are a cozy size, and it keeps you looking at the movie undistracted. The brand new reclining seats are very comfy. I always buy way too much food at the cafe, but its really good. The poutine, nachos, and turkey sandwich are my favorite. They also have 4 types of popcorn and a full pizza kitchen. This is our favorite theatre in the cities.

The lobby and the rooms are very clean. And the recliner seats are comfortable as well.The only problem is that a few of the smaller rooms screen is wierdly very small for a theater. And in my case, the screen started on the top left side of the wall and only stretched to the middle of the room. Basically a small rectangle on the top left of the room. This created a uncomfortable view from most of the room.

This place is great recliners and good meals while watching movie allowed to bring in stuff from stores! Also has usb cored to charge phone.

Very upscale theater. Dont expect to find slushies and theater popcorn. Gourmet popcorn, drinks, some real food too. Theater was small. Make sure to order tickets online.

We were there to watch a movie, the bartender and a couple of attendants were pretty nice, which I appreciated! There was a rude woman that was micromanaging me and my children, as I was trying to get them ready to leave(if she had good customer service she wouldve realized that),. Then because it was xmas eve, the entire mall was shut down, so we couldnt find out how to get out of the mall to go back through the transit center! The only person who helped us was a cleaning guy. My question is, why would you shut that transit part down, if the movies werent finished playing, we had to walk outside, through the entire parking garage, down a flight of stairs with a stroller and some small children!! Outside and back around to catch the train!! My son even threw up, I guess I wont be coming back here, because that shows a lack of care for your patrons.

“Food Market” was horribly expensive and was unclear of deals. The recliners barley even raise up but are kind of spacious. The tray is a nice touch but what’s the purpose when a good amount of food Costs 5x more than your ticket? Think it’s not so much money spent but your losing it on some “snacks.”

CMX is really swanky! They have a full-service bar, different meal options, and several other snack options, along with what youd see at a traditional movie theatre. The markup on snacks is ridiculous, but thats the way it goes at most movie theaters. The seats recline and are pretty comfy. The only thing I didnt like was the amount of cold air they pumped into the theater on an already 34 degree night. Ticket prices were also competitive ($14 for an adult on a Friday night), which surprised me considering they use the tag VIP experience in their name. I will definitely be back!

Went to check this place out for the first time ever earlier on Monday. Staff was INCREDIBLY nice and approachable to talk to, even with the place mostly empty and them not having much to do (my movie started at 11:10 and the theater opens at 10:30). Was very impressed by the re-designed layout of the food bar. Candy and other snacks were a bit overpriced, so I stuck to two huge slices of pizza and a large drink for about $16 total. Though the recliner seats were a bit comfy, they werent the easiest thing to relax into, given that they are made of much harder leather then the seats at Marcus Oakdale, which I normally frequent. While I could easily complain about the food being overpriced, it isnt that much more expensive then what would you get at most other theaters. Definitely not the place to go to if you want to spend $4.00 on a box of Smarties, so I would recommend ordering from the Pizza and Burger stations. Youll definitely get what you paid for there. For sure will be coming back to see more movies in the future.

Wow... probably the best movie theater Ive ever been to. Seats are super comfortable, recline and have tray tables, and the food choices are varied and awesome. Sound and picture quality were the best. Awesome place that lives up to the standards of being in the Mall of America.

Pretty good overall, but some of the new theaters have heated and cooled seats. Nice bar inside, good place to watch a game beforehand, reasonable drink prices. Good place to escape the craziness of the Mall of America!

Bathrooms had no toilet paper for two and a half hours and managed to get worse while I was in the movie. Before my movie, there were 3 completely unusable stalls out of 7. There was poop in the toilets, on the floors, and on the seats. After the movie the bathrooms had gotten even worse. There was now bloody tissue on the floors and blood tracked around the sinks. There was also somehow MORE poop spattered around. The fact that they couldnt clean this up over the course of a two hour movie is unacceptable. One star

Once upon a time I watched a movie at a wonderful cinema at the Mall of America. A magnificent employees asked if I was military and applied a discount. The cashier at the Deli was helpful, and yes I said deli not popcorn stand. They had one of those popcorn stands as well, and a full service bar so alone and beyond with the amenities. The seats were comfortable (they could be softer but why nitpic) reclining and had trays to hold food. The movie was clear both in sound and visually. Overall it was a great movie experience. I may need to knock off a star later if I find the popcorn stale but I didnt try it this time and I was otherwise impressed.

Great food and excellent seating would highly recommend others overall great experience since I moved to Minnesota honestly gotta say this is my favorite

Drove an hour in heavy snow to see Rise of Skywalker. Almost didnt get to see the movie, but Jon the manager was super helpful and made sure we didnt miss it. Definitely would go back to this theater!

The process is built for you to purchase your tickets on machine, enter, purchase food, and enter the movie without issue. Beer sold here, milkshakes, pizza, burgers. I love it.

This was my first time in this theater and it was a wonderful experience. The seats are recliners and they are quite comfortable. It was the first time I was in a theater and didnt feel like the person next to me wasnt sitting on top of me. The whole experience was good, and after the movie, for an extra special touch they gave us an Andes mint as we left

Definitely look out for a Groupon because you can get a cheaper price for a great movie experience if you use the Groupon. The prices can be a lot if you go to the concession stand however the seats are very comfortable.

Its changed a lot. There is a full bar now, surrounded by an area where you can get food at a window and then pay at registers for. Somewhat like a cafeteria. Theaters were large with seats two together, space in between each pair.Clean, nice. Good, slightly expensive, theater.

Star wars was amazing here the seats are very comfortable and the overall experience was satisfactory. Food is NOT cheap as you would expect but it does have a wide selection of snacks to choose from as well as pizza, burgers, and a bar.

One of the best experiences at a movie theater in North America !The cinema was very clean, the sits were amazingly comfortable with a tray to place my food and the screen size was of a fairly big size. The staff was very helpful too.The only downside is that I dont live anywhere near Minnesota, so I dont when will I be able to comeback.

Pretty expensive, but the food was good (I had a Bavarian pretzel with 2 dipping sauces), the packaging was sturdy, and the staff was friendly.

People talking the entire time. A small child, under 10, kept babbling throughout the rated R movie (Dr Sleep). Their parent kept answering all their inane questions (is that poor kitty gonna die?) Anyhow, I realize that the theater isnt entirely able to deal with every rude patron, but the whole atmosphere was weird and excessively corporate. They had a strange policy where they have to open your water bottle for you and take away the cap... I dont know if that was to avoid noise during a movie, but mine wasnt even fizzy water, and I still heard cans opening. The floor lights seem excessively bright, keeping the small theater from getting as dark as it should have been - and they shine directly up into your eyes, which is very distracting in a dark room; from my angle, I had a direct line of sight to some of the LEDs, and they were intensely bright... I found an awkward sitting position that put some handrails between them and my pupils. The seats are somehow less comfortable when reclined than when in the upright position; I have no idea how they managed to pull that off . Great movie, very distracted throughout by weird stuff. Bathroom floor STICKY with pee. Gross. First and last time at MoA since 2015.

They take the caps to drink bottles because someone previous threw caps at the screens. Sorry to say but they can throw candy and other junk at the screen. Dont forget to shake your lemonade before removing the seal... and drink before it settles.The theater seemed clean. The bathrooms have strange wash and dry combo sinks. The seats have foot rests but ours didnt seem to recline more than an inch or two. Nice little trays attached to the arms as well.The snack area is like shopping a convenience store. Everything is out and not locked away.

Took going up to counter twice to get some popcorn. Also vary over priced on everything. Great seats though upgrade from previous.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!! The police came in during the movie talking loud & shining their flash lightsI went up to an employee named tiffany after the movie & told her we missed part of the movie because of that situation she just mean mugged me & didnt respond at all until I walked away then after walking away she rudely tells my girlfriend I woulda gave yall some free tickets if he didnt walk away then she walked us to the counter & gave us free tickets & was very rude about it. & Never apologized for the situation. & this isnt the first time weve had issues at this theater!!!!

Really nice and clean. Large selection of food and a full bar. Prices similar to that of a hotel restaurant or airport though. They did use top shelf liquor in my drink so it was worth the price. Opening day of Midsommar and we were the only people in there. That should have been a clue to not go there.

Excellent choice of consessions. Pizza and burgers and salads and sweets. Gourmet popcorn flavors. Free fountain refills. Seats were power recliners with PLENTY of room. Excellent sound.

Great environment and friendly staff. Some of the best seats around and everywhere was clean. Given how cheap the tickets are, its a bit surprising how nice everything looks. The complimentary chocolate after the movie is a cherry on top. Definitely will suggest this to my friends.

The theaters look nice from the outside. But “recliner chairs” yeah, no. The barely lift your feet from the ground, and your back isn’t even in a comfortable position. The screens are not too big, so it’s like watching the tv at home. Wish they invested in a more better screen for the whole two and something years they were closed. What were y’all doing?? Perks: they never stopped me from bringing my own food.

Just like everything in this mall as you would expect, its all pricey. They have a lot to offer for concessions and the screening rooms have great power reclining seats.

Nice experience but a little over the top considering you dont go to the movies with the intention to admire how artfully a candy display should be...just give me the sugar without upcharging it just because the bags are fancier. I mean, come on...an entire floor display just to emphasize a glorified box of MikeNIkes?

Theater looks brand new! Seating is comfortable with a tray connected to the recliner seat. Cozy atmosphere. A bit on the expensive side. Captain Marvel started out kinda slow, but turned out to be great. Two thumbs up!

Some seats have serious wear and tear. MoA CMX is a nice place to see a movie in comfort. I like the small theatre seating.

Lots of show times, food is a little pricey like most theaters but a wide range to choose from and the reclining seats are amazing. Cant wait to go back.

Tried to treat my wife and my daughter to see frozen 2 tonight.Its a winter storm tonight and I didnt make my showtime, the manager wouldnt help out at all.Liked this place and thought it was nice but after dealing with the unhelpful manager I will avoid it in the future.

Screen size is too small for a theatre which is referred as VIP Experience. Its more or less like a home theatre. Food tables are not clean.. Recliners are not so comfortable.. Only positive is Sound system, it is great.

A very unique setting. A gallery of several food snack and drink items from your popular movie treats to gourmet eats. Prices were medium to high however remember the environment. It is much nicer than most theaters. Very comfortable recliners as well.

This place had by far theeee best selection of movie theater snacks and above all a great bar to purchase adult beverages before or after the movie!

If u go 2 a late movie the popcorn is all put away except the cheddar & no hot food but pizza slices.

The remodel they did is amazing! They have an actual food selection aside from just candy, popcorn and soda. They have fruits, veggies, sandwiches, desserts, ECT. The seats recline and have a tray attached to each seat. Will definitely be going back!!

Overall a good experience, I just wish they would upgrade their screens they are so small compared to other chains, Its like they kept the same ones from the previous. Thats the only downfall of this place and sometimes seating area isnt the cleanest.

A great theater with large comfortable seats. Purchased our tickets at the kiosk out front with such ease. $5 Tuesday made it pleasant on the wallet as well. When we are in town we will definitely be back.
