Nicely appointed with a childrens play area, community garden spot, great for winter snow sledding too as its down in a bowl.ATTN DOG OWNERS: I Love Dogs, BUT AL has a Statewide Leash Law As Well As Birminghams Leash Law too. PLEASE keep your dogs ON leash at ALL TIMES.

Not a dog park, although there were several people who had their dogs off leash. It is not fenced in, there is a road that runs adjacent t to the park. If youre looking for an off leash dog park, Id look somewhere else. Nice spot though, lots of shade, Id definitely come here again

Lovely park in the heart of Highland. Dogs Off Leash City most evenings after 5 pm. If youre not cool with that, then I wouldnt go there at that time of day. Park puppies are usually very nice though. Great park for a quiet getaway from the city, in the city.

Rhodes Park is one of the jewels of Highland Avenue. It has some of the most interesting architectural features of any park in Birmingham, and some of the oldest, majestic oaks. It is a peaceful and lovely island in the middle of Southside.

Nice little park tucked away from the main Rhodes. Lots of dog owners and people just enjoying the space. Very quiet, calm, and well maintained.

This is one of my favorite parks. It sits beautifully in the Highland neighborhood along with two other sister parks. There is a concrete structure here with several cool mosaic squares, a sidewalk all the way around for easy laps, plenty of grass space for picnics or dogs playing. Near the back of the park with the concrete wall are several benches to enjoy the shade. Day or night this park always feels safe.

Quiet, serene, and beautiful in that way that small, historic parks can be. Definitely recommend coming here if you need a quiet place in nature to retreat to in the city, but try to respect the neighborhood by not being too loud.

I prefer this park, as opposed the Rushton and Caldwell, the best; its like its meant to be underscovered. I decided to play a little guitar there and it was perfect: I had a multiple audience of people and pets, and I also met a fellow musician. Go there. Enjoy yourself, read a book(theres actually a Little Library across the street from it). Be in the tranquil.
