First time here. Hidden gem.

Beautiful little nature reserve. In the middle of a very urban area. Lock your car, always. Other than that, enjoy, visit the nature center. Friendly staff, very knowledgeable

Relatively easy hike to get to a beautiful view. Trail is quiet, clean, and easy to navigate.

The overview was nice and it was quiet. We only saw a couple of people the entire time we were there. Birminghams skyline isnt some majestic sight, but it is nice to see the whole city from one place.

Cant believe Ive never Been up here. Completely spontaneous decision to come hike but berry glad that I did.

This is arguably the best view in Birmingham.

If you are old like me you better bring your binoculars but you can see Vulcan from here and it is fun to have a line of sight between two of the southernmost Appalachian peaks.I love the fact that you can either do a quick hike (0.6 miles with about 250 ft gain in elevation), or a beautiful but more challenging loop from the Nature Center using Ridge and Valley trail (2 miles with about 600 ft up and 600 feet down) and return to the Nature Center using Silent Journey and Quarry trail (1.2 miles with only 200 feet up and 250 feet down).

This is the best point on this mountain. You can see the city in the back ground.

Nice view. Very crowded, so expect a wait for a photo op during busy times. Trails can be a little muddy and slick going up.
